Cheap and fairly close to the airport. Free shuttle to the airport. Staff is friendly but rooms are a little sketchy Have me wondering why they would need 4 locks on the doors???

Extremely Welcoming Managers,
Rooms are very clean, comfortable Bed. Stay week. Very Secure, and relaxing . I stayed in many Motels hotels Worldwide. And Highly Recommend stay at Silver Oaks. Worldwide Travellers, look no further. Personal touch of home.response / report this review -

very unfunny staff (they only make those in New Zealand)..THIS LITTLE HOBBITON IS NEITHER AT THE AIRPORT NOR IN AUCKLAND (a fair distance from downtown with poor transport links); rooms basic basic basic, no working wifiit's waaaaay better to opt for a hotel much closer to downtown Auckland.

Had to stay here due to my son not being able to return home yet until we moved to a different house. Motel is outdated, hot water pressure is literally too strong and is definitely a hazard. Absolutely disgusted as my son had woken up with endless bite spots from bed bugs. Carpet was filthy and couldn't trust my son being on the floor at all. Highlight was probably just the polite cleaners, definitely not worth the money we paid for. But thanks anyway

Nice and close to the airport. Very friendly and helpful staff. Our room could do with a bit of tlc but for the price we can't complain. Quiet area which was good and good parking

Lovely little spot. Right near the airport, restaurants nearby will come pick you up for dinner. Bare bones amenities, but the kitchen is stocked. Great people working there.

This was the worst experience I have had. There was a huge domestic violence incident involving the management in their dwelling and caused most of the guests to be outside their rooms, calling the police and worrying for the safety of the victim. It was scary and it was a terrible experience to witness. When we went to hand the key back, the receptionist wasn't interested in hearing about it, nor interested in any compensation towards our sleepless night there. Some of the other guests actually packed up their car and left the premises (for fear that the guy would return I guess). The Police were involved. All in all a horrible experience. The room was not clean. The shower head had a mind of its own. The bed sheets were marked, and I woke up with bites on me the next morning (well not that any sleep was had). Would not recommend this to anyone unfortunately. I didn't want to put a 'star' up at all but won't let me post without doing that.

We had a room upstairs for four. The room was clean but windows backed onto the road which was really noisy. Room was so hot (march), had to leave windows open as no air con (had a fan) but it was too noisy with windows open. Shower is old, squeaky floors. Had a terrible sleep.

The staff was really helpful. And with 24 hr reception, a free shuttle to the airport this is really good value. The photos on the Web in my opinion is dated. Our room (rm10) had new furniture and looked like it was recently renovated. We were happily surprised expecting pink flower duvets.

To the night staff, you rock! Thanks for your help to get my partners passport back to Sydney (after I accidentally brought it over with me to Auckland). The night staff, Mike and his amazing wife, were awesome!!! Big thanks :)
