On the whole this place was okay for the cost; clean and friendly enough but I have a few gripes. Firstly there is no difference between a twin and a double room here, except about four inches between two double beds. They are exactly the same rooms except in the place of a double you have two singles, basically pushed together, and you can split them a full 4 inches. So don’t take a twin with someone you’d not be happy sharing a double bed with. Second gripe was breakfast. My dad who was travelling with us stayed here last year waxed lyrical about the incredible cooked breakfast this year it can only be described as basic at best. Hot breakfast is scrambled eggs, beans and cheap sausages. No bacon, no fried, poached or omelette eggs plus toaster broken so no toast. We filled up in bread rolls with cheese and cheap ham. Coffee and orange were great but from a machine so hard to get wrong. Good cheap option for a blast in the Dam but next time we visit we’ll spend a few £££ more for something a bit less basic.

Nice, centrally located hotel, perfect for tourists that want to see the city. A bit sparse in amenities. Directly next to Amsterdam Central station for easy train access to the airport. And the rooms are mostly soundproof to minimize the sounds of the trains.

Fantastic location, but sadly that's where the positives end.

Rooms are excruciatingly small, I think they are about 12m square which must be the smallest room I've stayed in. Not much in this tiny space either, no tea or coffee making facilities, a semblance of a wardrobe with space for about 4 pairs of jeans and half a dozen shirts.

Despite this size, the cleaning staff still can't seem to manage to keep dust off the walls and dirt on doors etc.

The occupants of the adjoining room can easily be heard through the connecting door.

If you're prepared to forego space, this place is hard to beat for its central location and transport links.

Not cheap at 150€ per night without breakfast in November.

My girlfriend and I booked a room through Expedia. When we arrived that night, there wasn't any parking to be found. We called the hotel and they were Very helpful in giving us directions to an underground parking garage opposite the street of the hotel. It was a short walk to the hotel. When we arrived the staff was friendly and nice. We made our way up to our room in the elevator. The room was nice. On the small side but what do you need a big room for when you're here to see Amsterdam. It was very clean, quite, and even had a small safe for your valuables. The bed was comfortable. It's walking distance to many attractions. I would recommend this place for your next visit.

The reception staff member at the check-in desk was particularly pleasant, she answered any questions adequately and her directions regarding any location were precise and easy to follow. All staff we encountered were very pleasant and accommodating, The room was warm, quiet and although rather small, comfortable. We enjoyed our stay very much. The location is great for access to the city, public transport and close to facilities to walk if you choose.

the room was good equipped and cosy. The stuff was friendly and helpful and the location in Amsterdam center is ideal.
I liked the design of the lobby and the room. It radiates a warm and welcome atmosphere.
one point - the window was not good sealed at the corners however, it did not bother me.
Since Ibis Amsterdam Center hotel is not a luxury hotel I was not expecting any special indoor services. Given the vision of this hotel (to be small and efficient for people mostly outside during the day) , it is a very good hotel

Location was excellent, check-in was easy. The room was very tiny for the price. We told by the front desk that the a/c works depending on the air outside so the settings really don't help so the rooms where extremely hot considering the cost. When we were told this, we then we instructed to come and get them. Then we went to the bar to get ice and was given some in cups and was told that was it we couldn't get any more ice. I understand not having ice machines but limiting your customers to one cup of ice per day in hot weather was shocking. I would rather walk further for better service.

I like a great location when I travel and the Ibis provides exactly that. It's practically attached to the train station. The hotel breakfast was expensive, so I just walked over to the station in the morning for takeout coffee and croissants. When I checked out, I left my luggage at the hotel so I only had to carry it a few feet to get my train out. The staff was nice, the room was clean (if minimal). It's near the tourist info office and the starting point of tourist buses and boats. Really convenient.

We stayed as a group of 3 here for 4 nights. The hotel is directly above the train station so the trains can be heard throughout the day but they didn't wake us from our sleep. The room was quite small and the third bed was some sort of fold out bed but it was just as comfortable as the other two regular single beds. The hotel staff were very nice. Can leave bags in storage if your room isn't ready or if you're leaving late the last day. Really good location, walking distance to a lot of popular attractions.

This hotel is exactly what I expected and was sold. Very close to the train which we wanted, tiny room but I wasn't there for the room. I got a regular room that faced the bike parking garage, couldn't hear the trains at all. AC worked well and the bathroom was clean. Check in was easy, check out even easier. Good security and vending machines on each floor. If you're looking for fancy keep looking, if you're looking for a clean safe convenient place to crash hit Ibis.

The service is flawless: always friendly and helpful and soooooo..; patient with all of us tourists and our sometimes dumb questions. The take-and-go area is most convenient and the coffee superb. The restaurant is also so convenient after a long day of sight seeing. The room is clean and the bed comfortable and of course, we lucked into Rm 633 and loved the views.

Excellent experience. A great place to stay due to the very central location.The staff are very friendly, helpful and accommodating. We had a situation where our kettle suddenly stopped working. This was fixed straight away with minimum fuss. Something some 5* establishments should take note. Lastly the breakfast was simply excellent!! Good variety of hot and cold. I highly recommend this hotel and we will be back soon!

The location was excellent and secure next to Central Station. Our room was above the tracks and we experienced no noise issues. Room was always clean and just the right size for 2 people. I especially liked the security measure taken in the lobby to use the elevator. I found it very secure to know that no one without a room key could use the elevator. The shop area and vending machines in the hotel also added a convenience of not having to exit the hotel for a snack. Registration was also quick and easy, and staff was also helpful in informing us that we could book tours and admissions with them and sometimes at a deal.

Hotel and reception staff are very nice and friendly. We had a nice experience staying for 3 nights,except our stuff went missing. Also my brother who stayed in other room with his girlfriend confirmed that their stuff were missing too. For new costumers i advise to lock in safe any valuables and especially souvenirs and new things you get over there because cleaning staff are stealing anything they can. Before we left,me and my girlfriend searched the room several times to make sure we did not leave anything behind us,just to find out at home that some of our presents and souvenirs we got in Amsterdam are missing. For management- i suggest to question and review your cleaning staff.
