Comfy bed, great location and good breakfast. Only small downside was that the nose in the hall came through to the bedroom. Other than that, great place.

Cozy hotel with a beautiful view over the canals. Nice modern room and good breakfast with pancakes right off the pan.
Beware cat allergics - they do have a cat, which is nice - if you're not allergic.
The only negative was that the room had very thin walls so you heard a lot of banging doors.

I cannot emphasize enough how horrible of an experience we had at this hotel. Upon checking in, the staff warned us to keep our windows locked and closed, as the people who stayed in the room before us had been robbed. We made absolute sure we had everything locked and closed, however when we came back to the room our passports and MacBook had been stolen, with no sign of a break in. We spent an entire day watching security footage from nearby hotels, talking to construction workers who were working outside our window, and what it came down to was that the maids had robbed us. When we brought this to the hotel owners attention (who lives below the hotel), she told us she would fire them immediately. Two days later when we went to checkout, the same maids who stole our belongings were cleaning the hotel lobby. There are plenty of other cheap options in Amsterdam do not choose this one.

We (couple, 29 yo) had a great time at Boutique Hotel View in Amsterdam :)

Hotel: sweet little hotel - you'll be walking to the city-center within minutes. There are two hotel-cats which is awesome if you love cats. If you don't: no problem, the cats are behaving more than well, they are not forcing any contact. Means they are not begging for food either. They do appreciate some kuddling though :)
The stairs are steep, but the staff will offer to carry your baggage upstairs.

Rooms: modern rooms, very clean, nice bathroom. Notice: there's no hair-dryer on your hotel-room, but you can ask for one at the reception.

Staff: always nice, always time for a nice chat, great advices in where to go and what to see in Amsterdam.

Breakfast: tasted great, you can get pancakes, omeletts, if you're lucky, the owner's mother will be preparing your breakfast - which means a nice lady singing and humming to traditional dutch music - you won't get that dutch experience in one of the bigger hotels :)

When visiting Amsterdam again, we'll definetly come back to Boutique Hotel View :)

Just enjoyed 3 days in this beautiful town - The atmospfere at the Boutique hotel view & the friendlyness of Natalie, the owner, and the people working there is priceless. They make wonderful breakfast for you, the beds are great, it's nice & clean - and if there is something you need they will find it for you - so ask😉

The hotel is in a brilliant location and has modern tidy rooms. Our small room was quite spacious considering it was a small and had fantastic views. The bed was comfortable but better pillows were needed as they were quite small. Breakfast was at an extra cost so we ate out each morning so I can't comment on the quality of the breakfast. The staff were friendly too. The two big negative points were the noise in the hotel, as each night we were woken up by slamming doors. The toilet in the room was also not ideal. Due to the size of the room the toilet was in the shower behind a frosted door. This gave you no privacy at all as everything could be heard through the door and you could be seen through it too. The shower didn't drain properly so the room became flooded and you'd have to go to the toilet with your feet in the water. Overall we were happy with our stay, just the toilet situation was our biggest fault. Due to the size of the room though we aren't sure how this could be addressed.
