This place was absolutely beautiful. I felt very safe the whole time. The staff made this trip wonderful. They make sure you are happy and having the best time. They are very polite and take great care of you. They work hard to make sure you have the time of your life, so make sure you tip. You can tell how much they appreciate the gesture. The food was good, the drinks were great 😉 they had games by the pool and different entertainment at night in the lobby/bar area. I can't wait to go back!

The rooms need to be cleaned better human hair on floor, rug and bath towels. windows needs to be cleaned in the room.. need better lunch options, stronger drinks.. liquor quality is low.. good breakfast ..nice beach.., nice lobby bar area. Some of your spa workers could be nicer. Requested to use the rest room at the spa since the gym does not have a restroom.. the spa worker acted as if it was a problem to use the spa bathroom.

Our trip was just amazing!! The hotel is beautiful, the views and beach were spectacular, the food was decent, and the service was out of this world! We'd like to especially give a shout out to Remy and Reyes at the bartruly great guys! Friendly, funny and know their drinks! I've tried to recreate the "Reyes Special" at home, but it's just not the same. I guess we'll just have to come back! Thanks so much everyone, we had a great time celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary!!

We had a blast from Cancun Hard Rock Hotel to 3 nights at Oleo since we had a NJ Storm we where stranded and had no place to stay. The price was great, Rooms are A + + with outstanding service. Basically everything is brand new in the hotel. I hope to come back soon again for a week. The meals where great no problems, meats, seafood, pasta and deserts where A + quality. Comparing the 2 resorts we stay this resort is as good for half the price every night. Everyone is so nice, Bar was great every night along with the reservation restaurants. The rooms & bathrooms are very clean, everyday fresh. Everyone Thank You so much for the up-keeping everyone works so hard to have a excellent time. The beach is clean, nice little tents setup to hide away from the sun. Simple A + + Service 5 Stars HOTEL ! ! * * * * * =)

Absolutely everyone from start to finish was wonderful. I would have rated a 4 1/2 if I could.
The room and bathrooms were cleaned daily. We requested more towels and waters, and our request was applied daily.
I feel more attention could have been given to the grout in the shower. But everything was definitely clean!
The bathroom was small - not what I would expect. The lighting was very nice!
The bed was too soft for me.
I would have liked more food options.
The lobby bar was very nice. Everyone in the lobby was always helpful and really seemed to care.
The gentleman that opened the door was so very solicitous.
The construction was still going on, but it really didn't bother us. The second elevator was installed while we were there in tower 1.

Negatives:
Same exact food every single day, no food variety.
The food was cold.
The waiting staff is understaff, it took forever to take our drink order for lunch and dinner. (We had dinner once without any drinks, so we decided to bring our own drinks from the lobby bar on the following days.) Same goes for the snack bar by the pool, took the staff once 45 minutes to even notice us.
The towel exchange kiosk never had clean towels.
And I personally prefer Spanish music on my vacation, the hotel had only American charts playing.
Not enough chairs by the pool area.
Positives:
The hotel is clean.
Friendly staff.

The view was gorgeous from the moment when I stepped into the lobby. Staff were really friendly. I also love the drinks and food.
The hotel is not that crowed and if you want to enjoy a peaceful vacation, this is the one. Although it has construction going on, you got good price for it and I did not bother.
One suggestion would be the website shows complimentary shuttle however front desk said there is not. So the first impression of the hotel over the phone was not pleasant. This misleading information and wrong advertising makes me feel bad.response / report this review -

my stay at the hotel was the best ever. i went solo to mexico and felt safe,secure and respected by great staff and people and etc. i definitely will visit again and recommend to all that visit the area.

We had a really nice time at Oleo. The service was really great the whole time. Never a problem getting a drink. 2XX is the only beer they have, but I like it so bueno. Few choices of each type of spirit. And always fresh mint for mojitos!!!
The food was exceptionally fresh. The food did get a little monotonousness towards the end. I think they will have 2 more restaurant open once the last tower is done though. There is a Starbucks which is not included, however I was able to order lattes from the restaurant as part of my all-inclusive.
The beach has plenty of tents and beach beds, and the water was amazing. The towels are not free flowing. They want you to use the new one they provide with your room cleaning each day. They did wrestle some up when we asked though.
The rooms are well appointed. Not huge, but plenty of closet space and the bathrooms were good size. We had 2 rooms and it was nice because there are little seating area outside the rooms. On seating area for every 3 rooms.
This hotel is on the south end of the hotel zone, but the buses are super convenient. 12pesos (.75 cents) They run 24/7 and you can just flag down a R1 or R2 for the hotel zone. And R2 for downtown. Cabs were cheap too. $10-15 all the way to anywhere in the hotel zone.
The pool is small, but nice with a swim up bar. They didn't have a lot of activities like other resorts around the pool area. There was a volleyball net to play, but not organized events. Not an issue for me as I don't participate.

we had good time. the family enjoyed the view and the buffet, the staff were great helpful and very attentive. the rooms were clear and modern. there were some noise from the construction near by. the weather was raining and cloudy, so the waive were too high to swim. so the pools were clean to swim. the Japanese restaurant was not as good as they as advertise. we eat once and left hungry and get the wrong order. The buffet was good and the Mexican menu was good (my kids did not eat that but there were other choices to order)

THIS PLACE IS A DUMP! I TRIED TO GET MY MONEY BACK FROM EXPEDIA AND THEY SCREWED ME OVER! IT'S RUN DOWN. THE BALCONY HAD BLACK MOLD AS WELL AS THE AIR CONDITIONER. THE TOWELS HAD HOLES IN THEM AND SOME OF THE TOWELS HAD PATCHES. THE LOBBY FURNITURE HAD RIPS. SERVICE WAS AWFUL. DRINKS WERE WATERED DOWN. IT'S THE OLDEST HOTEL IN CANCUN AND THE OWNER IS TOO CHEAP TO RENOVATE. HE IS WAITING TO SELL TO THE HIGHEST BIDDER. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!

I stayed at this hotel last year 2015 in July. My stay was for a little over a week and it was an all girls trip for my best friend and I. We read reviews about the staff being great and read on their website that they have air conditioning in all rooms. The front desk was very nice and even asked if we would like an ocean view or a pool view. They told us that dinner had already ended but if we want we could still go in and get a little bit of dinner while they get our rooms set up. We traveled from New Jersey and had a very long layover in Texas so we were very tired. We got a small bite to eat and the food was good. We got up to our room and I asked the lady how do I turn on the air-conditioning because it was very hot and muggy in our room her response was "no air here fan". Me and my best friend immediately got on the phone and tried to cancel our trip and get our money back so that we can go to another hotel. They tried calling the front desk and they wouldn't answer. I called down to the front desk and I had Clearview of the man sitting at the front desk and he did not answer the phone. When I went down there to speak to him about it he refused to return any of our money. Our room was all steamed up the walls were even sweating and there were some really disgusting stains all over our beds. We got through the first night and by sleeping on top of our beach towels on top of the beds. It cools off at night so lucky for us we had extra towels that we covered up with. There were no other hotels available for the week that we were there so we decided to just make the best of it. The pool was very clean but the beach was not. If you're looking for a beach chair make sure you get up earlier in the morning so that you have one otherwise you will not have a place to lay down. All of the staff is really nice and there's a certain bartender that make sure he gives you the good stuff he's normally in the lobby. When I asked some of the staff if the air conditioning would be fixed they told me it has been out for over a year. The place is really run down and the maids mop with a white towel and a stick. They don't even have real mobs and I feel so bad because the staff is such great people. My friend and I decided to go out one night with a couple people that we had met at the hotel and the night life is amazing it's about 60 bucks to get into some places per person but all the alcohol is free. If you look online you will be able to find some places and get your tickets early. The only downfall is upon us arriving back to the hotel all the lights were out. At midnight they pretty much turn off all of the lights in the hotel and it's hard to see to get around. Lucky for us our hotel room was not hard to find. It's pretty sad when you have to look out your balcony to see this amazing view of an ocean and see a beach full of Lights from other hotels and you're the crappy one with no lights on. If you're looking for great staff only then this is the best place to be but if you're looking for some AC and a very clean room I suggest you look elsewhere. I would never stay in this hotel again unless it was only for a night to see the stuff one more time.
