This is a wonderful hotel with beautiful pools and beach. My family stayed in an Ocean view balcony room which was very nice. The lounge access was great with one of the best breakfasts included. We spent everyday on the beach and had great service from Alfredo. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a relaxing beach holiday.

    Superb hotel,fantastic restaurant,friendly,efficient,professional staff.

    Idyllically situated in paradise.

You can take a half hour boat ride to the spectacularly beautiful Holbox island.
It’s sheer beauty leaves you feeling
immensely privileged to have seen and indeed regretful to leave it.

The magnificent Mayan ruins is also a well worthwhile visit.

A truly magnificent visit or holiday in a fantastic little paradise.
    Highly recommended.

Outstanding pool. If you choose to not do an all-inclusive it's a very nice place rooms were clean. We had a little problem with our room when we got there but the assistant manager took care of it immediately and also cantar breakfast which is outstanding if you're looking for a good place with quality service this is it.

This is by far my favorite hotel in Cancun for now. Yes, it’s on a pricey side but it depends with who you’re comparing it with. And definitely has the best beach in all Zona Hotelera.
3 on premise restaurants provide you with anything you need during the day, but I would recommend taking only breakfast and dinner while going for lunch somewhere outside (this way you’ll be able to experience wider variety of food).
On deck bar is good with decent selection of cocktails. Prices are acceptable and though a little bit pricey for Cancun but still way cheaper than NYC.
Pools are open till vary late (like 10pm) so you can relax in warm water after long hot day.
And for IHG members discounted rates are usually available during low season.

Love love this hotel. Rooms are great, beach location is excellent. The breakfast buffet is superb with lots of choice. The restaurants are fantastic too with lovely friendly staff. Pools are cleaned and areas maintained all day. A bit expensive but you will have a fabulous holiday.! Entertainment at the hotel is lacking though.

If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can check it out on HotelRaven. com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around

They are serious when they say "welcome home". Service here is top notch. Beach arguably the best for family with small kids as it is very calm, clean, and the sandy area is pretty wide. You can snorkel here and see quite a good amount of fishes. Food was good, typical hotel pricea. Hotel room itself could use some fixing. A great place overall.

Stayed here for 2 nights. I was pretty disappointed that breakfast was not included and the breakfast buffet not particularly a good deal. Coffee pod were not refilled every day in our room which kind of sucked, we had to ask the front desk (they reluctantly accepted to refill 4 coffee pods!). This hotel has access to the beach with ling chairs which is great. I would recommend the "urban cafe" for most your meal here as it is affordable for the area and decent. The pools are nice. The hottubs are not hot -- if it's not very hot when you come you will hate this fact. Otherwise decent value.

Rooms are basic. Half of the rooms have a noisy street "view" . Ocean view might be nice but my room was on the street. Nice beach if you don't want waves. Easy walk into ocean for kids and elderly. Boats docked next door. Healthy walk to the drink all you can night clubs like Coco Bongos and stumble back or probably a bus or expensive taxi. Place does need a update: curtains torn, pool not inviting, food a little more expensive than local restaurants $230 pesos for hamburger. Seems to be more of a business trip hotel than vacation. Employees all have been nice, try hard, and rooms are clean. Air conditioners work well. Main restaurant is having a new palapa roof put on and is closed (1 September 2017) should be done in a week or three basement fitness room is minimal. There is a kids club area so I could be wrong about the family vacation hit.

Great hotel. Supervisor Jonathan M. Was a great manager! The rooms facing lagoon looks down on parking lot and you can only see ocean from these rooms if you're on the 8+ floors so beware if website like Expedia advertising lagoon plus ocean view. This hotel is great for kids and if you like it on the quieter side of Cancun beach

This is a very lovely resort! It was my first time staying here and I absolutely loved this place. The rooms were stunning, clean and spacious. I really loved the electronic blinds in the room! The hotel is very clean, the staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. There is access to the beach without a very long walk. There are water sport activities on the beach and most importantly not many kids. They have several pools and hot tubs. I took advantage of the spa which was nice by the way.. and the food is amazing.

If you venture outside of the resort, you are close to shopping and bars along the strip. There is public transportation that runs constantly up and down the strip. I ventured out but I enjoyed myself more in the resort.

The workout room is awesome and it overlooks the pool.

You certainly should pay them a visit! If you do, tell em Drew sent ya!

My wife and I recently (March 17) had an excellent stay here. Resort was clean and housekeeping services were good and timely. Food was very good (we ate at all three restaurants) and adding the breakfast plan was a great value too. Staff is plentiful, friendly and helpful, most spoke English well too. The resort beach is the largest and cleanest we saw along the hotel strip. Two pools, with one being over 18 was appreciated. Tiki bar by the beach had swing seats which was fun and the drink prices were reasonable at the bars throughout the resort. I suppose a hot tub for an evening soak would have made things perfect, but that's the only negative I can come up with. If this hotel is available at your price point, I highly recommend staying.

The staff is very friendly and only wanted to make our stay as wonderful as possible. I couldn't think more highly of them. They surprised me and my boyfriend with Cava and chocolate covered strawberries in our room the first night. The beach is the best (wider beach and with smaller waves) in the area, a lot quieter than other hotels', although I was bummed to see that I wouldn't be able to snorkel because of jet skis zipping right outside the roped area. All the food we ate at the hotel restaurants was good and we walked to a few other restaurants and the supermarket 15 minutes away. We easily could've taken the bus or taxi I'm sure, but we had to walk off the many piña coladas we consumed while lounging on the beach.

Absolutely amazing experience here! The staff went above and beyond to help and make sure we had everything we needed. Enoc in particular was extremely professional and helpful. I would recommend this gorgeous beach to anyone, and I really hope to go again. Also, breakfast at Cafe Urbano should not be missed- delicious!

Hotel was pretty nice. Pools and the beach are not crowed unlike many of the nearby resorts. The rooms can hear a lot of hallway noise, so try to get one away from the elevators. Management proactively discounted our room due to the noise, so we really appreciate the service there!

This is the 2nd year my wife and i visited the intercontinental. The staff is outstanding, Humberto the concierge was extremely helpful and professional he is a big reason why we returned. The first night there they sent us Champagne and chocolate covered strawberries for our Anniversary it was perfect. Our beach Waiter, Adrian and Edgar are terrific, also our room service guy Salvador they all went above and beyond to make us both happy in what ever we asked. I would strongly recommend the intercontinental to anyone looking for a relaxing time and not have to worry about anything. We will be going again next year.
I almost forgot, the beach is so peaceful and tranquil, it is like swimming in a big heated pool.
