Hotel was great. Lots of great features. Beach was amazing. Wind made it wavy, which was fun. Resort is smaller, so no fighting for beach space. Food was always good. Definitely worth it to upgrade to jr suites. Breakfast had cappuccino and other fancy coffees, along with standard fare. Close shuttle from airport.

Biggest complaint is the lack of a buffet. Food and drinks were served to you on the beach, which is amazing, but there was no quick buffet to go and grab food. Also (and this seemed to be a hotel-wide thing) we didn't have hot shower water for the first few days of the trip. It wasn't totally necessary but would have been nice.

All in all, I would totally go back. The service was amazing, there were few kids, and the place delivered on many fronts. Great vacation.

I enjoyed the room, location, and the amenities. Only major issue I had was the food. Even though it was all-inclusive and the food was free. I wasn’t majorly impressed by the food. The staff was on point. Chance the menu and I will definitely come back again.

We were tired from traveling and we didn’t feel like dealing with the situation because they had given us a king size bed and not two double beds like we had booked and when we brought it up the next day they couldn’t put us in the original room we had booked a month in advance, so basically they gave our room away. Under construction so very loud and elevator didn’t work so climbing 5 flights of stairs is exhausting. The phone didn’t work and the shower wasn’t hot AND didn’t have any water pressure. However the sink was warmer and had more water pressure like why? Thermostat wasn’t regulated properly, couldn’t get the temperature up at all, had to turn it off so we could even feel comfortable! Went to the the front office 3 times requesting to fix phone and make the shower warmer and neither was fixed. Last day out of our 3 days staying there got to the point where we needed a shower and complained again and they finally fixed it. Will not be staying here again. Too many issues.

Loved the food and drinking service. Staff very pleasant. The room was huge, air conditioner sounded too loud and in need to be upgraded. Eddy and Jose from Magic bar were amazing. Daniel and his staff were doing a very good job in that beach restaurant 😊

This hotel is a nightmare. I booked as a family with a child 8 years old. They put us in a room DIRECTLY across from the PARTY property. Unbelievably loud music, some guy SCREAMING, on a microphone, and a drum show that rattled our walls. Our child LOST HIS MIND instead of falling asleep. This is night 1 and is ruining our vacation. My concerns fell on deaf ears at the front desk. I booked with a child on the reservation and this is what thousands of dollars got us. Devastated and furious. IF YOU HAVE KIDS DON'T COME HERE. Supposed to be family friendlyI don't see it

Excellent food and atmosphere everyday at the beach deck restaurant. Beach not too busy and drinks selection is good. Standard room is basic but fine.

    On the plus side:
Beach view from the room was great
Staff was very friendly and helpful. If it were not for the great service from bartenders and servers it would have been 1 Star for the view.
    Food was decent

    On the negatives:
Room smelled like mildew when we arrived
The king bed was so cheap you could feel the springs in any position. Sleeping on a lawn chair would have been more comfortable
    The safe was broken
The lock to the patio door was broken
Our “stocked” mini fridge didn’t even have a single bottle of water in it for us to brush our teeth or make coffee. We told he desk and it took 5 hours for someone to stock it with 1 bottle of water.
It was chilly at night and the hot tub stayed it was heated to 95-104, but was luke warm.
There wasn’t anywhere to get a bite to eat during many hours of the day.
The beach bathroom was consistently out of toilet paper.

This is our 5th trip to Cancun and by far the worst hotel we have stayed at. We will be back, but you couldn’t pay me to sleep on that terrible bed again.

We stayed for a week at the end of August and had the trip of a lifetime! The staff at NYX, the food, the beach and location were bar none! Absolutely had the best time!! Eddy, Abagail & Jose at the pool bar, Paola at the pool and the front desk staff always provided the best service and we consider them friends now. The Italian restaurant was delicious , especially the tar tar! Definitely will be back! Highly recommend this hotel. Great little slice of heaven.

Great place to stay, rooms are clean and beautiful view to the beach in the master suites was amazing. Food was fantastic and staff was very friendly and caring of all your needs. From Eddie at the magic bar to Olivia at the deck bar. We found them eager to take care of us, always remembering our names with a smile! Didi welcomes us with a smile and Fresh drinks every time we saw him! Always looking disappointed when we left. Timoteo gave us a once of a lifetime experience with fresh grilled lobster at a beautiful table on the beach. Housekeeping was great and the food, whether breakfast, snacks or dinner was superb! Activities were so fun from water polo to beach bocci ball and volleyball. Always friendly. Always trying to include anyone who wished to join. Definitely one of our best experiences in Mexico! We opted for the all inclusive and found it well worth it in value!

Hotel is very nice, staff friendly and attentive! If i get a chance i will be back. Ps, watch out for the mexican cops outside the hoteleria area!! They ripped me off of 1500 pesos claiming that i was speeding! Total bs. Be careful! If they spot a rental they are coming for you with any excuse. Get a receipt, signature, date and badge number and tell them u will pay it urself and watch them back off. Ruined my day!

I give this 4 stars but one room I had had a 5 star view. Staff is very nice & helpful. Well supplied breakfast buffet with choices of a lot of different foods including beautiful pastries. Rooms were clean but one was old. Cracked sink, stained marble or whatever the product the sink sat on. I did find a ball of on floor & some blood on the wall going into the bathroom. .Building next door so tons of construction noise. But overall the grounds has everything for a beautiful resort. Some age to a few things in lobby. I only used room service no other services so cant comment on them.

The hotel was very nice looking. The room was spacious. The food was pretty good. The waiters/waitresses were very nice. The problem I had was with the maids. I specifically asked them not to clean my room. They gave me clean towels and soap but when I left they cleaned my room anyway. When I came back my purse was on the bed and $50 was gone. It's unacceptable to leave your things in your room and have it stolen. The next day I asked them again not to clean my room and even put the do not disturb sign up. They cleaned it again but this time I took my money. The people at the front desk were very unhelpful. I was trying to get assistance with the shuttle and they did not help. Everything at this hotel shuts down by 11pm so don't expect to have any night life on the resort. If you stay here hide your belongings when you leave the room.

This was a great 1st experience. There were a few bumps getting checked in and it took about 2 hrs, but to be fair we did ask for a room change. It was just a little unbearable due to no air condition in the lobby. The front desk staff were wonderful especially Jimmy. He kept checking on and delivered our bags promptly. The pool restaurant was okay but the city food was much better for the price.

Overall, we only stayed the 1 night so that's why I gave 4 stars. We will be moving to another hotel for the rest of our stay.

Everything exceeded my expectations. The rooms were spacious with an outstanding view. The beach was literally steps away and pristine. The staff were friendly and enthusiastic. There was good active programming during the day and Jonathan was great leading various entertaining games for guests. Wifi was great in my room and on the beach. The food was excellent as well. I highly recommend Nyx Hotel.

Terrible hotel, even more terrible policies. Don't give this hotel your business. I've never seen a hotel only allow 3 people per room. I'm married and have 2 kids, total of 4 people, but they wouldn't let all 4 to stay in a room. Spoke to management, they refused to budge. My party was already reserving 5 rooms, they refused to budge to allow 4 people to a room. Ended up canceling the entire stay at this place. Not worth the headache to deal with them. Look elsewhere.

Very friendly staff!! Only 2 restaurants (1 for breakfast and the other for lunch and dinner) but the food is good. Beautiful beach. Just be careful to get the room you paid for. We rented the master suite with separate living and dining plus large bath with double sinks. Spent 1/2 our trip in a VERY small, older room. Finally moved us to the room we paid for but no reimbursement or apologies for having us in a cheaper room.

Great experience. Friendly staff and fantastic food. "Premium liquor" (anything but well brand) is in addition to your all-inclusive but most cocktails are pretty tasty with the "free" stuff - the mojitos are fantastic.

Really great location, staff etc however not given a room to shower in before flying in the afternoon of the day we left. Considering we had a 10 hour flight back to England we weren't impressed. Hotels always offer this service. We are going to have to shower by the pool. 😠
