The room was fine as far as cleanliness goes however, it was very misleading about the advertisement of an airport shuttle. Be warned the shuttle only will take you from the airport to the hotel (not the other way around). They will then charge you $25 for the shuttle to take you about 1km. We had an early flight so booked a shuttle at 345am but it failed to show up. When we asked the front desk guy where our shuttle was, he said it wasn't his responsibility and basically just walked away from us. The blatant lack of customer service was incredible. If you have a flight to catch, I'd highly recommend NOT booking with this hotel.
Read the transportation rules carefully. I took the bus from Merida here for $24.00. The ADO bus drops you at the airport and then the airport hoses you for $45.00 for the 5 minute ride to the hotel. I get to the hotel and let them know that I'll need the shuttle to the airport in the morning at 4:00am and then I told that there is no service to do that for free. I told them that when I spoke to the person on the phone, that I was told that there is a shuttle to the airport. He said, "no, you get a free shuttle from the airport here." My god. That wasn't what I was told, but since I'd already paid for the ride from the airport here (when he now says it was free) can't I just get the free ride in reverse? Nope sorry. Go to the 2nd floor and they hose you for another $400 pesos to get back to the airport. Any money you save here you just spent on two cab rides going to and from the airport. No sense to go bare bones. Pick a hotel with a shuttle.
We were pretty frustrated with our stay here. We booked it last minute for one night because we were flying out early the next day. So we did not do our homework in advance. The good side was it felt like a safe area and gave us a fairly clean place to sleep for the night. We checked in at night and left at 3:30am so we did not try breakfast or anything. The down side that ended up being very frustrating was, it advertises a free airport shuttle but once we got there and told them we would need a ride in the morning they said they only pick up people from the airport, not drop off. Makes perfect sense to me not!! But it is Mexico. The second thing that was just gross is I had sand in my bed. When I slipped under the covers for the night it felt like someone came straight from the beach with sand feet so where my feet went there was quite a bit of sand. Gross! I It as so tired and we didn't have much time so I just slept on the top sheet and we did not leave a tip since the room wasn't clean. And just a heads up the taxis outside of this place want 300 pesos to drive you 9 minutes up the road. It's absurd.
I would rate my stay here as average or slightly below. It really depends what your expectations are going in. There was certainly nothing that was worth complaining over. Room was clean, no viscous odours, check in went smoothly, and I slept great so overall it was a win. If you are "packing light" so to speak and are not carrying toiletries etc, you may be disappointed. The shampoo in the room was not new (I suspect they refill the used containers) and it smelled oddly like dish soap, maybe just me but that's what I thought. No hairdryer. There is a spot for an clothes iron but that was also missing. The safe was inoperable. And several bulbs were burnt out in the bathroom. All in all it was nice to have a place to crash after a long day of travel, I was exhausted so I made no issue of the things I just mentioned because I merely wanted rest.
Very convenient to the airport. Rooms clean and pleasant. Breakfast very good. Airport shuttle doesn't work so well. They can only pick you up and they want you to reserve the pick up in advance.which we had not realized was necessary. Do we waited an hour at the airport.
Very clean for a short stay cheap place.
Ample space in the rooms with TV and coffee machine.
Unfortunately like most places on this coast line the staff want to rip you off given half a chance!
I asked the hotel Manager how much I was expecting to pay for a taxi to the airport he told me 250 mxnI was sent to the office on the 2nd floor to arrange this and when i got there the guy told me it was 300mxn. It was obvious when confronted he was like a school child being told NO at this point, your basically taking the mick. Seriously come across this situation way too much on the coast line between Cancun and Tulum.Mexico City no problem but here it really is a terrible tourist trap and even at hotels the staff try to get more money out of you! Disappointing.
Room is very large and nicely situated. It's about 8 miles from the main beaches and other attractions, but you have easy access to the airport. It is about 1.5 miles away. Tourism office is located on site and you can plan adventure's and taxi through them.
I would write negative if possible. First of all the front desk had us give him a “10 peso cleaning fee”. I doubt the maid will see that so we will leave her more. Second it is a 1.73 miles from hotel but they had us reserve a pick up that cost more than 30$. I will NEVER use this hotel again!
This hotel is by far the worst I have ever stayed in. Lobby smelled disgusting, tv didn’t work. Coffee maker had a used filter and pot still had some coffee of person who stay there previously, jacuzzi wasn’t working, restroom door didn’t even close properly. They force a taxi on you and they hate uber. Had to walk to gasoline station to get picked up by uber since a taxi wanted to charge me 350 pesos opposed to the 100 pesos uber was charging me. Uber driver also mentioned that two taxi drivers tried pulling an uber driver out of his car while picking up some customers from comfort inn 3 days before we got there. While both taxi drivers were beating on the uber driver a truck passed and killed one of the taxi drivers and injured the other. Thankfully uber driver was safe. They try and charge you for cleaning the room. And the breakfast is hot, as in milk for cereal was hot, yogurt was hot cheese and ham for a sandwich was hot, potential for bacteria to from or upset your stomach as dairy should never be warm. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone not even to my worst enemy Please do not spend your money on this hotel. It is the worst and customer service is rude and their kitchen is super dirty, I can’t imagine eating a good breakfast when their kitchen is dirty
I'm giving this hotel a 2, only for the fact that beds are clean and comfortable. The people and their "policy" are wrong. They are rude and enjoy giving wrong information just to see you suffer. They will tell you ( as you are standing there)that they have amenities available to you ,only for you find out that it is under construction or doesn't even exist.
Also they try to force you to take their taxis. And they hate Uber. They do not have free transport from hotel to airport.
The only reason we stayed there at the end of our trip was because it is close to the airport and we thought the ride to the airport would be cheap and easy. Turns out you have to pay a local tourist scam 400 pesos for the 5min shuttle to the airport. There are also super annoying taxi drivers waiting for you outside the hotel which will gladly charge you 5 times what it should cost to go anywhere. So we ended up having dinner at the hotel restaurant which was awful. The breakfast was not much betterRooms were clean so if you have a car and all you need is a bed next to the airport then it might be an ok choice.
This place is awful! We stayed here our last night in Cancun because the airport is close by. Advertises airport shuttle, but they will apparently only pick you up and not take you. We would have booked elsewhere if we knew they wouldn't take us to the airport. They have taxis they will call for you, and they are super expensive. Taxi driver was mad because I didn't tip. I didn't tip because a 3 minute taxi ride shouldn't cost more than the 20 minute ride downtown. The internet didn't work, the hot tub was drained and disgusting. The hot water in the shower takes at least 20 minutes to heat up. Comfort In Cancun Aeropuerto, we hate you!
It was the worst experience to stay here. The staff promised to provide shuttle service from airport to hotel, but the guy never showed off. It was at midnight and my only choice was to spend 400 peso to take a taxi to the hotel. The hotel was very noisy, and I could even hear somebody's snoring sound at another room! The bathroom was also awful with strange smell, and the hot water was not hot at all. Hair dryer was gone, and I have to call the front desk to get it. They even forgot to clean my room one day! I should give zero point to this hotel!
Not good! Rooms weren't really clean, breakfast service was bad and not clean!
I like this hotel for the closeness to the Cancun airport. Checking in was fast, had reservations, also set up a shuttle to the airport, about $15 USD. Found the room was nice, clean. I got in late and had to leave early so ordered room service and got some very good chicken enchiladas. Shuttle got me to the airport on time, so it was a good visit.
Needs a good revamp poor wi-fi ,door cards keep faultering needs a good clean, dust on tv and shelving shower water is luke warm poor breakfast .
Stayed there before moving to a nice hotel cause our flight got in late. Perfect for just that. Just staying by the airport for a night. Free breakfast is always good, and the people were nice. Wifi doesn't really reach rooms so you need to go to the lobby to get it.
Drinks and food was artificial tasting like 7-11$6 for a "double" (2oz of 100anõs tequila) margarita half full tasted like soap (picture of drink is how it was served)..roomswell; good from far but far from good (shower doors about to fall off and showerhead should be grey but was brown with a plastic bag tied around it for a leak soneedless to say I skipped the shower) . The elevator is a death trap. Front desk was rude and judgemental about services (like airport shuttle which is only from the airport, not to the airport) ONLY GOOD THING IS ITS CLOSE TO AIRPORT
The receptionist was not accommodating and not friendly. Kinda irritated because we were here since early morning and was asking her politely if she can do something to check me in and my friend even if I told her it's fine if she will give an extra charge for that. My friend emailed them a week or two weeks prior n our arrival that we will coming here early. But no respond n their end. But that was fine with me. I just don't like the receptionist attitude. She can tell me and explained to me in a nice way that they have no rooms available she don't need to raise her voice, the fact that I am her customer. I guess she doesn't know how to give a good customer service. Btw her name is "Jocelyn" but I'm not sure if she gave me the right name coz when I ask her it seems she was thinking first what name she's going to give. First day here bad experience hopefully it won't ruin my vacation here and I'm pretty sure there's a lot of nicest people in this place😉
Shuttle service is only one way. From the airport to the hotel. Then you have to pay $40 for a cab back. If you come in after 11:10pm your next shuttle is at 1:10am. Their website says call to get picked up. Lies. They only go by their schedule and you absolutely can't ride their shuttle back to the airport. Not sure they know what a hospitality business is.
