[19/04/2019] Same lackluster behaviour is observed today as well. :/
[14/10/2018] Went there to get a UFR done. Got the payment part done easily but once I went to obtain the container to give the samples, there was only 2 nurses. One was attending a patient and asked the other nurse (who seemed to be on training) to give me the container. She said it needs to be taken from the other nurse. I thought there must be some sort of registration or writing done on the container regarding what the test is for. But after 5-10 mins other nurse finished her work and just handed me the container. This could have been done easily even by the other nurse. Did not care for the patient's time at all.
Only plus side I saw was, you can get the reports mailed directly to your email address. That's very convenient.
Other thing is you are charged for parking there.
Very Bad & Poor Service.I have already made a appointment through on e-channeling and went to the hospital. The correct time is 7 pm.but Dr.Ranjanie Gamage Arrived to the hospital at 9 pm.we had to wait 2 hours.really bad service.Actually every patiens are paying 3000/= for a appointment.and this is not a government hospital.so they should take a responsibilities and never i come to this hospital.
Nursing care was awful in the 8th floor. I think the state hospitals are much better. I don't recommend this hospital for anybody. We were not given a sheet to assess the service. I think the hospital should introduce it. Last time i got admitted to Asiri Central and the service was good. I expected a similar service and its really disappointing.
I would have given a ZERO star, but couldn't. This hospital let a family member nearly bleed to death for two days - all they did was change a blood filled "nappy" - we kept asking for help for two days - and the result was a catastrophic stroke. Head doctors/specialists of this hospital kept saying it was only a minor, totally recoverable stroke - upon our return home, doctors were horrified at our treatment - as it was a totally unrecoverable stroke, which left their whole left side of the body without movement, finally ending in death three months later. Embassy officials had to be brought into our situation, to help get us out of this "living hell". As westerners, the language barrier was inexcusable. AVOID this hospital.
Great parking area but it’s charged. Hospital exterior not clean like old days, interior bit of ok. High expensive rates.
Worst hospital ever. Had terrible experience with the staff. My father was admitted to this hospital and he did not recieve treatements by time. We had to ask the nurses and remind them medicine all the time.they seemed to be pretty busy with their own fantasy worlds instead of doing their jobs. We had to complain the upper management even regarding their hospitality .
My wife did her medical examination for visa purposes and her experience was good.
Laboratory service is very good. All most all the medical tests can be obtained here.
Other than that doctors Channing service and sugeries are carried out.
Good private hospital at Colombo area. Services are good. Parking available at parking building. Possible to park around 150 vehicles.
I did my yearly medical checkup in last month, and was very disappointed about their services, especially due to following reasons,,,,
1) They could not take my chest X RAY at once, giving me proper instructions.. After that second X RAY was successful.Any how i Faced two X RAYs.
2) While i was on tread mil for exercise ECG, The supervising doctor was in a Lengthy telephone conversation, and Not paid full attention on me. Then i was at Risk.
3) Most of Machinery and Equipments are not Latest.
Any way i made a complaint with one of staff, and promised to inform to higher authority. But Still No body Inquired me. Finally Not Recommend for medical Check up here.
Building structure is not suitable for the hospital. It's give a feel hospital is tight and and rush. Apart from that rest of the things are fine(Service, parking and Dr Consultation service).
Good place good friendly staff but if you are willing to channel a doctor you should wait more than you expected. I appointed to channel a doctor at 6pm but he doesn't shows up until 8.40pm. I rated 3 just because of good things in this hospital. But channelling a doctor is worst here like every place. Because same doctor is going around these private hospitals. Just typical doctors thing in srilanka.
I hv a bad experience yesterday. I booked a MRI scan on Saturday at 7.30 and that was only available slot when i made the appointment on Thursday. And I wanted to do a DEXA scan as well. The operator has asked me to come before 7pm and no need to make appointments. When I went on Saturday at 6.50pm the DEXA scan facility was stopped and when i checked the MRI appointment they said the machine was broken and cannot commit a operational time. I came from Negombo and only for these two tests. This is really bad customer service. I managed to do the same two tests at Lanka Hospitals on the same day within one hour and they have extended their DEXA scan facility till 7.30pm though it was closing at 7pm when i called at 7.05pm. This is how private hospitals should treat their customers.
Also when i went to Asiri Surgical at 6 50pm the receptionist are on their own gossiping session they didn't care we are waiting for us.
Appalling service at the Asiri Surgical Pharmacy. Being a hospital you have no excuse. A message from an absolutely indignant customer!;
If you want prompt, friendly and clarity of service, please go to any other hospital pharmacy BUT this!
The last time I witnessed their service years ago I recall telling them in a friendly manner a good SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) would help them and the patients to witness a better service. Years later today, the story still remains…
This time, a family member underwent a surgery today and UNFORTUNATELY had to acquire the pharmacy service again. Here are my issues and potential recommendations to be implemented if you bother about aspects called customer service and being human at a hospital service centre….
One of the less crowded private hospitals in Sri Lanka specialized for surgery. However they have channeling service as well. Average service, average cleanliness. Ample parking. As usual for any hospital in Sri Lanka, doctors hardly ever come on time.
Recently went to the emergency service with my friend. Good service. Staff is very friendly and helpful. But not happy with the charges, since they charge 22000LKR for five stiches on foot. Nothing complex. Later the patient was admitted. He was happy with the service during his stay.
Good hospital with lots of space and quality management. Visited some time back for few tests. Doctors are very professional and hospital staff also very helpful
Channelled Dr.Hasanjaya Gunawardhana after suffering from constipation for two months. He prescribed a colonoscopy.I researched a lot about the procedure, so naturally was curious. Asked him questions, he became rude and arrogant. So I changed dr. to Ranjith Peiries to perform Colonoscopy. It revealed nothing.Dr. Ranjith Pieris has now prescribed me Fybohusk, Duphalac, and Pantodac for two weeks, then if that doesn't work, to do various tests (Fecal calprotectin and lactoferrin, TSH/FBC/CRP/FBC/creatin, .). Dr Hasanjaya ought to have done this to begin with. If you are prescribed a colonoscopy, get a second opinion. Seems like colonoscopies are a nice little earner for these specialist. BTW, I felt rushed at Dr Hasanjaya's channeling session. The whole session lasted less than 10 minutes.
Also, if you do have a colonoscopy, ask for a video recording prior to the test. Tell both Asiri Surgical Colonscopy Dept. and your Gastroenterologist/colonoscopist Otherwise you will just be given four photos showing your colon (which is actually 5 feet long). The video CD cost 150 Rupees. It will ensure that your colonoscopist performs the procedure well.
Update: check bill thoroughly before payment. There was an error in mine. Visited colonscopy unit and billing-in-charge manager, then several phone calls later, a cheque was issued for a refund. However, as I understand, billing-in-charge had to jump through many hoops. It took about 2 weeks, from when I reported it, to issue the cheque.
One of the few private hospitals that provides adequate parking for patients. Relatively good service compared to other private medical facilities in the country.
We are very disappointed with your service. The patient came home with a high fever and without any medicine for fever. The doctor did not have a thermometer to check the temperature. Which doctor doesn't have a thermometer? Extremely disappointed. People just go here for the name, but most clinics on the street are better! Would not recommend this place to anyone.
The foremost private hospital in Colombo dedicated to Surgical care. Modern equipment and facilities are available here for investigation and treatment. Surgeons belonging to many specialties operate here. Experienced medical and nursing staff is available 24 hrs a day including ETU / A & E.
Bit hard to find a parking, service is very good. One of largest private hospital in colombo
Environment is good. But Receptions don't given correct info to patients. Nurses and other staff well. Highly expensive.
The best and most reliable private hospital in Sri Lanka for surgeries, consultations and laboratory services.
So far one of the best place to do all the medical report requirements. Efficient staff.
best place for laboratory check ups.. good customer care n efficient service 24hrs.. interior space has improved recently reducing queues..
