Nice boutique hotel. Beautiful property. We were there on property to attend a Geisha program. That was a complete waste of money and time.

Conveniently located in the historic Gion district near Kiyomizu-dera, this ryokan offers a dinner and breakfast service. The meals are brought to the room at the time requested. Staff is helpful, friendly, and polite. Rooms are clean and very well kept. They also provide a public bath but the hot water was malfunctioning during our stay. We still enjoyed our stay, regardless.

Didnt stay at this ryokan but booked the Maiko and Geisha dinner for 6pm to 9pm~free flow all you can drink during this time (plum wine, hot/cold sake,soft drinks, beers etc), whilst you are eating, there is a Maiko, Geisha performs with a narrator who tells you about Maiko and Geisha, the differences between the two etcthey perform and come around to your table and gives you a chance to ask them question and take photos. The session also includes a Japanese games part where the audience gets to participate~definitely an experience!

Amazing and friendly staff. They are always looking to help you with anything you might need. Location is great took. There is few convience stores within walking distance. The rooms are very clean and tidy. Overall wonderful service.

Beautiful location next to shrine. Nice traditional accommodations and friendly staff. Slightly expensive for what you get but it seems as though most ryokans in Kyoto are pricey. Didn't opt for the food so can't comment on that, other than that it was pretty expensive. Also interesting is a midnight curfew, after which point you have to call a number to have someone come let you in, but it worked fine and wasn't an issue but would be a problem if you didn't have a working phone. Nice traditional rooms with tea sets. Overall recommend if within your price range!

Great experience and amazing service. Service was so good I didn't feel like the right "class" of citizen to be getting that service, lol. The food included was delicious (and there was a lot of it) and the baths were serene.

Ambiance was wonderful. Very close to many interesting attractions. Food and bath was amazing. The staff was very friendly and service was exceptional. This place is very friendly to foreigners. I would go again.

Staff was very nice and informative. Their english was okay. Breakfast was very different, lots of strong flavors. Overall enjoyable experience. I would recommend tge dinner because we didn't get it and it seems like we should have.

Really nice Ryokan experience. Our room and host were lovely. The food portions are extremely generous and very Japanese. Make sure you go in hungry!
