A moderate hotel in this town.
I recommend you take a taxi to get tourist spots.
Breakfast is just so so.

Great rooms. I stayed at a triple room it was huge! 3 large beds, bathroom space was nice. Customer service unbelievably amazing. Clean rooms. Only down side: western breakfast could improve!! Also, there were too little power outlets, but maybe we carried too many electronics :)

Stayed here for a few days, the staff were nice and the breakfasts were good. The rooms were dated and when staying on the top floor, there is a strong smell of smoke, which for non smokers like myself, was not pleasant. The western restaurant here was not that great when I visited and I would recommend heading out into Kyoto for dinner. The location is very convenient and very central and I think this is the main selling point for this hotel.

I thought this hotel was awesome, simply because the concierge were super nice and the building was absolutely beautiful. The bathroom is small but functional, and the rooms are tidy. The only thing weird is that they have some kind of clothing press that we found didn't really work well, so you have to call the concierge to bring up an iron for you if you'd like to iron your clothes. All in all pretty great, and I loved Kyoto the most of the three cities we visited in Japan (Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka)

A nice enough hotel. As I have found in Japan, the rooms are much smaller than I'm used to in the US. The room was comfortable and cozy. The staff was nice and friendly. It was nice that they had free rental bikes that you could sign up for. Let's you of the city than just walking.

Hotel that is closer to western style and is a little more spacious than others in the area. Clean and functional. Recommended for a reasonable priced stay in Kyoto.

Relativly large hotel down a small Street near one of the main roads and subway stations in Kyoto. Double room is comfortable and there is a restaurant on site.

I stayed here with a friend December 5th and 6th in Kyoto. The rooms were Japanese style (small with futons) but clean and had free wifi. The staff was pleasant and the breakfast in the morning was fine. The hotel is located extremely close to the subway and allows easy access to numerous areas. I would recommend this hotel for anyone staying in Kyoto, with the caveat as long as you don't need a spacious room. The hotel is quiet, well kept, and has additional services such as laundry service. I would stay here again.
