Peefect place to stay in Firenze. It's really close to all attractions so you can go walking. Got a private parling bit you have to book a spot cause they are limited. It's also dog friendly! The breakfast is really good and usually imcluded in the price and the rooms are really nice and clean. Customer service 10!
Breakfast was superb with excellent service staff but the rooms are almost stingy! No blankets/ duvets, mini bar was not cold, No kettle in room. Pile of dirt and dust under the bed after you took off the bed spread so u know no vacuuming was probably done. Bed was HARD and pillows were also VERY flat!
Hotel reception kept recommending the same restaurant (one wonders why) which was noisy and expensive, food was not great too! We decided to trust Google recommendations on good dinners instead and found much better places to ear nearby.
Location was good and easy to get to main attractions. Staff were generally very friendly and polite. Has own secured parking which was a good plus for us.
I think we may have stayed in an older part of the hotel.
It was quite along walk from entrance up to our room.
Was there in Oct. Very cold room. No air con, no heating. When I complained all I was offered was an extra blanket. I just had to freeze when walking around the room. Room service very, very slow. We waited 30 mins for the menu. Then another 30 for someone to take our order. Then 45 min for the meal. It was a 60 euro steak. It was very dry and all the veg and sides were stone cold. The waitress didn't care.
But all the cleaning staff were very, very kind. The room was clean.
A very nice hotel with a convenient location. The hotel is a 15-25 minute walk to the city centre depending what sights you want to see. It's right by the Arno river which offers a scenic walking route. Bus stops are close by.
The hotel staff could put in more effort to be pleasant and welcoming, especially at the front desk. Besides that, we had a spacious and clean hotel room. Breakfast buffet offered a nice variety of food. Overall it was a good stay and I would recommend this hotel.
Stayed in a modern family room. It consisted of a double, single bed and roll away. Price was excellent fit the location. Breakfast was good. WiFi was efficient. Hotel staff was friendly. Room was clean. Not sure how the unrenovated rooms are.
On a group trip, one of my friends purse was stolen at hotel restaurant and they didn't do anything they said is the police job and that cameras don't show the part they were sitting. They don't have irons in the entire hotel. They don't turn the AC in April when at night is already hot and you don't want the window open because of the street noise. They said is not summer yet. The rooms are small and you can hear the guests upstairs walking and the guests beside talking.
I would only stay here because of its location. To get to the room you have to walk through two buildings, take two elevators. The food at the breakfast restaurant is nothing special, and the tables are too close together, way too close.
Grand Hotel Mediterraneo is amazing in Florence. Good location. Helpful staff.
Very nice hotel, in a great location. Close to everything you'd want to see, yet away from the hustle and bustle. Our room was very clean. The lobby is very big and bright.
Location was good on and near bus line. Staff for the most part was helpful. Clean and lobby was comfortable. Bar had an outdoor glassed in smoking area which was nice. Food at hotel however not that great.
