The old is not that bad, one of the oldest in Jakarta, not perfectly clean but acceptable, the food is ok but could be better, large rooms, 2 small swimming pool at the back of the hotel. Nothing amazing but enjoyable, but what made me mad, was a bunch of people screaming in the swimming pool in the morning, how someone is suppose to take a rest, and the staff of the hotel didn't do anything about it. No even for free I will go back there, never again. Goodbye.

Old but comfortable four stars hotel, situated near Menara Jamsostek (kantor BPjS) and Museum Satria Mandala. The atmosphere feels as if you were in Yogyakarta. Others than standard amenities for 4 stars hotel, they have large parking area, ATM center, and shuttle service (XTrans) with destination to Soekarno-Hatta Airport or to Bandung.

I stayed at room 630 after requesting room with city view. Yes, it's city view but it's facing south not west toward the front. The room's located at the fartest south of the building so it's quite creepy at night since the ambience was gloomy and the only sound I heard was my step. The room is quite big. But I dont like the smell. Hot shower wasnt working and the water ran so slowly. They have some sort of device inside the room controling the on/off swith of every lamp and tv, quite handy. The breakfast was good. Overall, I like the room size.

The hotel has a very authentic Indonesia ambience. The lobby's furnitures and decorations are that from Javanese. It even has Javanese Gamelan in that lobby. Should you love hotel with ethnic vibes, this might be one.

A renowned hotel in the heart of Jakarta central business district, easily accessible with various public transportation. Some rooms are old design (especially in higher level), but my room was quite nice (2nd floor). Deluxe rooms (as pictured) starts from Rp 1.100.000 exclude taxes (Feb 2018). Selection of breakfast are quite impressive with local delicacies.

The place has an Javanese antique/vintage feel to it. Some floors and rooms look more tended than others, which presents quite a different look and image to visitors. Staffs are really friendly and helpful. Restaurant provides good food. Transportations are nearby, and the premise is located close to main offices.

The hotel has a traditional and old-school feel to it. Breakfast is served at the Prambanan restaurant, but the available food is fully traditional Indonesian and there's not a lot of variety. The rooms are alright, but not too cozy.

The hotel is really old. The bath was terrible. The shower jet was blocked mostly and whatever water came out came at a piercing force. The wifi in my room was terrible. It would work fine only at one edge if the bed. The options at breakfast are very very limited. Despite no queue sometimes you have to wait really long at the egg station for that omelete you wanted to have. They were paiting the rooms during my stay and surprisingly enough they would not bother to start waitimg inside the room while someone is still there. And they would never provide that room spray they promised. The housekeeping is also very sloppy and would forget either the towel or toilet tissue at times. Location wise it is good and if you have work around Gatot Subroto, this could be the best place to stay. But there is nothing else worth the price you pay per night.

An old hotel in the middle of Jakarta, everything is alright but I found some details are quite annoying. The elevator smells damp, i believe it came from its floor rug, a very old looking rug. It's lack electrical outlet in the room, in this era of mobile technology, electric outlets near nightstand is a must. In my particular room, 405 room, the wash table cannot be emptied, the handle is broken. Otherwise it's alright, just alright.

The place is easy to find, the lobby is awesome and large, the swimming pool is nice, the elevator is small, the corridor at 6th floor is old and smell not good, room is old and the pillow is stinky.

The location is at main street. There are mini bus transportation to Bandung, Serang, Cirebon and airport. The reputable taxi also is there.
But the places out side the hotel for having dinner are far from the hotel

Kartika Chandra Hotel the best place for Jakarta's holiday caused by the location in Central of Jakarta. Foods and swimming pool are not bad. But maybe room and wifi will much better someday.

Wowthis is such a bit old but unique hotel, luxurios old style interior design. Much of the interior completed with wood ornament; the expensice one I guess..I think this could be the best hotel in its era. So far, many facilities should be improved such as the bathroom fixtures, the telephone fixture (look very very very old style), and the air conditioner.
Its restaurant open for early breakfast (sahur) during ramadhan. They offer complete menu for its guests. Yupso far the taste is some okay, some delicious.
Generally, this hotel is quite okay with some improvement.

Swimming pool is for public. I tried during weekday, it cost Rp 65.000,-/person including 1 towel. Very quiet sport center. Clean but the bathroom should be with bright lights.

I had been staying here for 4 nights (grand deluxe).
4 nights without proper air conditioner. It was not even an AC, just blowing out some air, like a fan. I have complained to receptionist, they repaired it twice and got no result.
Is it a 4star hotel?
The area is pretty huge. The breakfast menu is good.

If you have a business near central Jakarta, this hotel is my recommendation. The room is spacious and comfortable. Also, in the next building, you can find XXI, so when you got bored you can just walk and watch a movie

the furniture and interior are more than 20 years old. the rooms & furniture could use serious maintenance. customer service could be a lot more kind. Parking area cost 5000 rupiah regardless if drivers come for just pick up and leave in 5 min.. Even the newest 5 star hotels and resorts don't do that, it comes a cross like a greedy hotel with greedy old owners not suitable for 2016/ 2017. Wouldn't want to stay again.

Not worth the price, and clearly doesn't deserve the rating it has now. Maybe they did, but perhaps maintaining values and qualities ain't their thing.

First of all, keeping true to the things you have promised is very important, "24 hours Room Service". And yet, they rarely answer the phone.

Disgusting control panel, along with the tv remote, they're dirty, and they expect us customers to touch those, I was and still am, insulted.

And honestly, this is what i think, if you don't understand the concept of being able to serve customers the way they're supposed to be, u don't deserve our money, and certainly your reputation.

The place lacked aesthetics, as they serve breakfast with disrespectful music, as they were headache inducing, and sounded like they came from nightclubs. Yeah, nightclub music, FOR BREAKFAST!

I hope you know what you're doing, and I have hopes that u'll fix your problems soon.

But, till then, you're not worth our money, and your stars

First of all I booked on line - a Renovated Room. I was checked into a very old outdated room. The next day I was moved. The new renovated room (226) is a bit better and more comfortable. The breakfast is very poor quality for foreigners (based for local Indonesians). The dinner was also only buffet.

The hotel is too old for a hotel which is located in the heart of Jakarta (not to forget it's in business district). My room was like a storage, yes it smells like that. The telephone and air conditioner is from my parents' ages I guess. AC is not working, it's hot.

The lamp in the alley was off so my room was dark and creepy.

The only thing which is good is the food. All food tastes nice.

The hotel looks nice from the outside, but the room was awful. The air conditioner wasn't working and it feels like I was in another era inside. The phone is very old. Room smelled like those storage and my room is so dark because the lamp wasn't working in the alley.

The only thing that's nice? The food, I highly recommend to eat there. All food is great.
