really like the vibe here! the staff members are extremely friendly and they speak fluent english! will definitely come again next time.
It is a nice place with Decent cleanliness. Just remember that if you ask them help they will ignore you, I had to transfer my photos from SD card to hard disk, they have the computers but they don't let me do it
The building itself along with the rooms and cleanliness are nice, seemed to have a good vibe when we arrived. I seldom leave reviews but I would like to inform other travelers our experience.
From the numerous hostels wr have stayed at I've felt the most unwelcome by the staff at this hostel. From the beginning everyone was in a very unwelcoming and unfriendly mood from the front desk receptionist to the very pushy, and bossy housekeepers. We stayed very friendly in hopes to be treated nicer but we got the same coldness from all the staff, it felt as though every interaction I had with them was like I had done something wrong to them and they were upset with me.
The rooms are nice, the space is clean, the terrace is great, but the constant feeling of being unwelcome and in thetway by the staff made our stay at this 4.5/5 star hostel unpleasant. If you are interested in how a place makes you feel rather than convenient rooms and cleanliness we do not recommend this place.
Very convenient location close to the metro and plenty of food options nearby. The rooms are small but clean. This hostel was a great way to meet other travellers. Only issue was having to carry luggage up two flights of stairs to get to the check-in counter.
This place is well located, super clean. They have a very knowledgeable staff. Joe is really friendly and efficient--emphasis on efficient. Thank you to everyone for making my stay so wonderful.
We arrived late at night and the first thing - it smells in the room like old humid building. Second thing- our besheeets were dirty, stained but also looked like they weren't changed after previous guest. WiFi good but you need to log in again every time you change place in the hostel. Staff was sometimes helpful, sometimes totally useless. We wanted to do the laundry and some guy at the reception had no idea how you need to it, wheater they sell washing powder. So yeeah The bathroom was just permsnently dirty. In the shower there were black stains on the floor because it just wasn't cleaned properly. I just couldn't force myself to seat on the toilet. The room we stayed in wasn't too big (for 9people). The space was ok though. There was place to put the suitcases or backpacks on the floor. 1ok sizes locker. The bed curtains totally old dirty and I don't know what they were for because they definitely weren't enough to give some privacy, not even mentioning light Good location, nice terrace and rooftop terrace. Kitchen facilities dirty and old
clean and nice. has a top rooftop to chill and meet people. can totally recommend.
This hostel is wonderful. Great location. MTR Causeway Bay just across the street. Clean and hot shower. The staffs are very helpful. Deduct 1 star because of the couch at the living room.
Hands down best hostel for meeting people and going out on the town. The vibe could be pretty weird sometimes though. Unlike most western hostels, they don't have an age restriction and they don't have a rule against locals staying in the hostel, so there are a lot of young Chinese travelers who aren't super social and pretty much ignore all the non-Chinese travelers. There are also quite a few old Chinese men who come through, so snoring/hacking/coughing is pretty common. My room was nice and super clean, but it was also on the 4th floor directly opposite the smoking terrace, so I had the joy of breathing in everyone's secondhand smoke 2-3x per day
Good value for money but I wouldn’t return here. It was pretty tricky finding a location and limited elevators is big cumbersome. And 100 hkd deposit in cash was asked upon check in but I wasn’t informed of this from anywhere. I had only 100 hkd and had to give all. I don’t want to imagine what happened if I had no cash. I should have walked up and down several time. I also received a bed in the 3rd floor but sadly it was very uncomfortable to walk up and down. Locker was offered but not to put your bag inside. It was to deposit small belongings.
Nice place for backpacker. Very near the MTR. Jolibee fastfood is just a 5-minute walk. Stayed at the mixed dorm room for 190 HKD/night. Higher rate on Sunday. The ladies in the frondesk especially that Filipina are warm and hospitable. You can party socialize at the rooftop. The stairs, though I find it creepy is a freedom place to probably do anything you want.
Loved this hostel. Hard to find at first, above the bank.. But staff were friendly, small equipped kitchen, clean dorms with nice bathroom, superb location close to mtr, great rooftop area to hang out and make new friends. 100% recommend!
Very noisy, from people coming back from partying and from the streets outside. My bed was a very basic mattress on the floor, and considering how filthy the floor can get, it was a terrible experience. The duvet had holes and stains, I'm not even exaggerating. People were drinking and eating in the bedroom, the smell was pretty bad. No kettle in the kitchen and toilet paper as towels. The best pro is the location, close to the subway, and the price. Good for a night but no more than that (I booked a week unfortunately).
Loved this place. Clean and comfortable dorms. Easy to connect to people on the rooftop. Offering events like pub crawls and stuff.
Excellent price in CWB area, can’t ask for more
Good service, clean up the room everyday.
Convenience location, close to shopping area.
Will come back for sure! Highly recommended!!!
Good place to stay, good atmosphere, rooms have a lot of space even though there are a lot of people. Would stay again.
Had a wonderful experience staying in Yesinn Causeway Bay, I stayed there for 4 nights n the people are nice. Rio is very helpful n friendly & I was invited to join their dinner gathering with happening peoples. Love the place n will definitely stay there again during my next visit to hong Kong 😊
Location was great. The lift only starts one floor up and can't take more than 5 people. Rooms weren't bad, with the rooftop garden a pleasant place to chill and meet people. Location is probably the biggest draw.
Smack in the middle of Hong Kong's busiest areas, so you are less than 30 min Subway or bus away from everything party and shopping related. The beaches are a bit far too get to it's still super convenient. About 3-5 minutes from the Causeway Bay MRT station, tons of restaurants and 7 11 and shopping malls near by. Staffs are super nice and helpful. I shared a private bathroom with 8 other people in my dorm. It seemed like you would have to wait forever for your turn but everyone's using it at different times and people are courteous so it was not a problem at all. If emergency comes there is a clean public restroom by the common area as well. The bed curtains do not close all the way so you get just enough privacy. The mattresses are very comfortable and clean. Be sure to have your ear plugs since you are sharing a room with quite a few people. The room can get a little funky smelling in the summer if it's fully packed, if you're not ready for that don't book it. This is a very popular backpackers hostel. The elevator starts on 1F which is the second floor. The reception is on 2F which is the third floor. Confusing, I know. There's only one elevator and it may take a while to you and it may go the opposite direction of where you're heading but just be patient it use the stairs.
Excellent hostel as hostels go. Safe. Secure. Safes in rooms. Clean bathroom in every room. Excellent location. Well worth the price.
Nice and cheap Hostel. Rooms are clean. Bunk beds are comfortable. Good showers. Rooftop terrace is okay. Common room is a bit awkward. Flexible check Inn. Rooms have secure lockers for your bags. Each bed has a USB charging point, plug socket and light.
Nice place to stay. Near public transportation. Near high end shopping center. Near times square. Great place to hangout with other.
First time solo travelling so I decided to book a hostel based on recommendations from Reddit. Did not disappoint! Was able to make friends very easily in the rooftop garden and got invited to multiple events every day. Will always stay at the yesinn when I'm in Hong Kong
I stayed in the 9 person mixed gender room with 3 of my friends (so there were 5 strangers). I do not recommend! Most of the people here are older and just loners. If you are alone then sure it is a cheap place to stay, but hold on to your personal belongings when you sleep! The compartments to store your luggage/backpacks are also not very big. I was not able to fit my carry on luggage and backpack. Just think before you book.. is this really worth it?
I enjoyed it here. The mixed dorm was air conditioned with clean linen and comfy bed. They provided digital lockers to each occupant which was more than welcome. The hostel has one roof garden on the 4th floor. Overall a great place if you are on budget, and/or, only in need to crash at night :)
Expensive, filthy, stinky, bad service. That sums up my experience of almost a week at Yesinn. Almost no one can fit there stuff in the lockers so most people spread there belongings on the floor. There is sort of no security, mentioned in the booking that you need a code to enter the facility, well the door is always open and the door to the luggage storage was always unlocked when I was present. I will not be back.
Since it was my first solo international trip, I reviewed multiple hostels before picking this one. And I wasn't disappointed at all. Young crowd. Convenient location - 3 min walk to MTR. The staff was very helpful - one of the support staff who was on the night shift even lent me her phone charger since my adapter wasn't working well. I only wished there was an elevator from the street level (currently, the elevator starts from 1 floor above and this can be a little inconvenient if you have a large bag)
