Typical business hotel, nothing bad to say but neither anything special. Good free bus service every 20 min to harbour/shopping area. Nice pool and sun chair area at the roof. Internet wifi was not free.
Good service polite and friendly staff.
Gym has a good selection with great locker room.
Roof top pool has a great view and different areas to sit.
Food as expected is pricey.
Room was at a high standard bed was comfortable.
Would recommend.
Close to subway and mall with food court.
A very comfortable hotel in a good location on the Kowloon side of the harbour. It is slightly further away from the Star Ferry/Nathan Road area but, with a regular free shuttle bus, this had little impact on our enjoyment. The main reception area was under refurbishment during our visit which affected the lift operations but this is probably now resolved. The harbour view room we had was large and comfortable.
lovely hotel. staff members easily approachable. beds were massive easily the equivalent of two double beds. views are simply breathtaking easily accessible to the train station and a variety of restaurants and shops.
Fairly standard large corporate hotel, with a rooftop pool. Nicely maintained and comfortable rooms. Harbour View room was lovely. Breakfast is pricey as per usual and not really amazing. Lots of restaurants on site but we ate elsewhere for the adventure.
Five star service in a 2.5 star price. All being renovated but has the right Staff and amenities to give you everything. always use a hotel search site the do have deals even lesser view rooms are large enough. Meals price d hi but the buffet is unlimited in with the right foods to get spoiled to pay the price. You can get freshly prepared meals in the super market a block away and the are good also. Saving 70%
Great place. Good views. Good service at cafe. Only problem is they are renovating lobby now. Hope they finish it fast.
We were a bit disappointed in this hotel. We had a lovely room with a good view of the harbour. They are undergoing major refurbishment at the moment and this impacted on our enjoyment of the stay. Sitting in the dining room in your coat because it is so cold is not enjoyable. Also the swimming pool was shut for maintenance and whilst the weather was not conducive to swimming if you pay for five star facilities they should be available and you don’t expect to be staying in a building site. The international buffet was generally cold and a strange mixture of food - in my opinion.
We stayed in one of the Club rooms on the upper floors.
We had a great view of the Harbour from our room and as part of the club room package light meals along with drinks were included and served from a clubroom facility on our floor.
The clubrooms also had their own reception area.
When compared to some of the other hotels in Hong Kong we did note that our club room was three times bigger with separate sitting room and two wash rooms.
The reception speak English very well and helpful.
There are Chinese and Japanese restaurants and the tests is really really good with high quality of ingredients.
They also have buffet for dinner with beautiful view.
The location is very convenient for going to Hongkong Island by boat (only 3 minutes walking and /or using underground.
Brilliant choice of hotel right on the water. 20 mins walk to Star Ferry. Two large double beds in the room. Spotlessly clean.
A very luxurious and (as the name suggests) grand hotel, whether you are staying here or just coming for the world-class buffet. The views from the 20th/21st floor are stunning, and rooms are constantly kept neat and tidy. But the highlight of the building is most definitely the lobby, complete with a large glass chandelier, fountain and huge glass windows spanning multiple floors looking out across Victoria Harbour. You'll definitely feel regal coming here, even if you're not staying.
First Class hotel. Lovely walk into the center of Kowloon or get the free coach from the hotel which is every 20 mins. Also catch The Star ferry across to central Hong Kong for $hk 2.70 yes 27p !! Highly recommend this hotel
Luxurious and comfortable Kowloon hotel with plentiful and helpful staff. Wonderful harbour views. Superb roof-top pool with terrific 360 degree views. Free shuttle bus to central Kowloon. Lots of local shops, cafes and restaurants within easy walking distance.
We stayed here for 8 of our 10 nights in Hong Kong. Myself and girlfriend agree it's possibly the best hotel we have stayed in around the world. Stunning view from hotel room, lovely big immaculate room with every feature one could ask for. View from the roof top pool is again amazing. You may think the location is not as good as Hong Kong island, but I would disagree. When you weigh up the price difference and the fact the MTR is so bloody good especially with an octopus card. We only ate here once as the restaurant (buffet) is very expensive, even heard people complain about it. But it didn't matter to us as we wanted to get out and experience all Hong Kong has to offer
Recommended by Trailfinders when our original hotel had building work. Cost more but well worth the extra. Fabulous location right on the waterfront overlooking Hong Kong island. Something of a backwater but given the frenzy of central HK and Kowloon this is a real advantage, especially as a complementary hotel minibus runs to and from the main Star Ferry & Harbour City mall every 20 minutes. Getting to central HK via Star Ferry costs exactly 27p per adult using this connection! The rooms are really generously sized, spotlessly clean and very well serviced and equipped. The rooftop swimming pool is breathtaking at night and the water very warm. Food & drink in the hotel is expensive, especially given the most recent Brexit driven drop in the exchange rate but there is a Starbucks five minutes away and a food hall attached to the Kerry Hotel immediately above Starbucks. Having said that, the Harbour Grand restaurant & coffee bar have gorgeous views so its worth splashing out just for the ambience. The bar has renovation work going on outside, so at the moment no view from here, but the interior is pleasant enough. The whole waterfront is clean and a gentle half hour walk right to the Star Ferry if you fancy exercise.
They charge you for normal activities which other hotels give you complimentary as a part of stay with them. View is breath-taking, if you take a ‘full harbour-view’ room. Otherwise the rooms are not as per the standards of a 5-star property. Overall the property is good..will rate it as 3.5/5.
Great harbor view and big room. Unfortunately the internet access is intermittent and very slow, to the extend of unusable. Very limited TV channel too. For the price I am paying, this is disappointing.
High standard hotel with superordinary and friendly staff. Delicious food. The rooms are big as per hk standards.
Brilliant hotel. Wonderful rooms. Excellent roof pool. Magnificent breakfast. Would stay here again.
Upon moving one of the pillows, I discoved dirty spots on the bedsheet. I expected more form a 5 star hotel. HOWEVER, the rooms are quite nice and are fully air conditioned. The AC in the rooms remain on so it's very comfortable the moment you step in the room, especially in the summer months.
The overall experience is good. Except that restaurant staff should really refrain themselves from chit-chatting at work. Let alone commenting on the guests.
The hotel is very beautiful. Everything was clean. The staff was friendly. The breakfast was not included but worth the extra cost.
The whole experience was brilliant! The room was beautiful and quiet - we had a double room with a harbour view.
Everyone has been really kind to us. There is a free bus every 20 Minutes to the center or the metro and there also always are taxis waiting in the hotel court.
The restaurants were all good, especially the japonese which really was amazing! We had the best Kobe beef ever!
I would definitely recommend this one without any hesitation. Only thing is Hong Kong is an expensive city
Very Nice view from harbour view room
really kind staff
but not so good breakfast buffet
totally excellent place to stay
Me and my wife stay for one night, at October 2016. The room we booked was full at that time, due to conference at the hotel.
Thus, We got an upgrade to the chairman suite, which was very lovely, and the staff also helpful when we need power adapter or some ironing board. The place is also located close to cafes and shops which is a plus. Bus&metro stations is within 10 minutes walk (i took the bus back to the airport)
Overall, the service is nice, room is comfortable, and the harbor view is worth the money.
Seriously, both the reservation and the promenade restaurant staff need to brush up on their telephone manners. This is the 1st time I have booked this hotel and I've had the worst experience ever. It is like that you either take their offer or leave the hotel. The staff of Harbour Grand Hong Kong are more polite. There are also a bunch of 3-stars hotels in town, the staff of which have much better telephone manner than this one. 5-stars should mean more than just the decoration & the price. Without pleasant staff, it is just another factory.
