This hotel has a lot of potential however the staff let it down. We stayed as a result of our flight being cancelled by Cathay Pacific.
We checked in at about 4pm, check in was efficient and our room was easy to find.
First hiccup was the TV wasn't working.
We went to dinner at their buffet which was excellent.
Then we retired up to our bedroom and about 8.00pm housekeeping came and disturbed us as we were getting into bed.
Over the next 2 hours we had housekeepers entering our room pretty much on the half hour which meant getting some sleep impossible.
Then we were told that the world was only paid up to 9.00pm. A simple fact that was omitted on check in.
We were phoned and an insistent housekeeper told us we had to check out now.
I saw no option but to follow her orders as her system showed that we had checked out.
Visions of the three stooges comes to mind as the managers of the hotel
Booked a day use room at the Regal Hotel and it was well worth it! The hotel is a short walk from the Customs arrival area and connected to the terminal. Very spacious and well appointed suite was assigned and check in was very quick. Bathroom contained all needed amenities and the bedding was comfortable. The shower was very modern. WiFi at the hotel worked well, and although I didn't use the facilities, there were dining and lounge areas available with ample seating in public areas. Would definitely use again for a day layover in Hong Kong.
Nice hotel that you can walk to from the airport. But rooms are small and feel very outdated. Good restaurants inside the hotel and very close to mass transit. You can easily take a tour of the city before your flight
I enjoyed my stay there as it is really a very short walk from airport. They have spa and swimming pools there for both indoor and outdoor. The buffet was good too. The only downsides is that there is not many choices for food for solo traveller.
Lovely classy hotel. Ruined by terrible service from Emily. Couldn't find a less helpful person. My mum's flight was delayed so she was put up in this nice hotel. But trying to get wheelchair help for her was a nightmare. And the service from Emily was just bloody ridiCloud. She didn't smile or even try to be helpful. And when I said goodbye she just ignored us. This person isn't suited for this type of job!
Always a pleasure to come back to the Regal Airport Hotel.
'Efficient hospitality' aptly describes this hotel.
Clean, well appointed rooms, a range of dining options, alongwith gym, pool and spa facilities, and everything else you world expect from a upmarket hotel. And all this, at a under-5 minute walking distance from the airport!
It's an amazing hotel to stay in. They are connected to airport. Good for night halt. The staff is too helpful. All facilities and amenities provided are really good.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!
My grandma had an accident at the Hong Kong air port and stayed here for 2 nights. I am grateful to the staff and their employees help me connect me to my grandma. Thank you so much and Happy New Year!
very easy walking access from the airport. clean modern rooms. you really can't beat the price for a business traveler and so much better than trying to navigate to a different hotel and then trying to get back
Perfect location if you have to catch a morning flight. Check in staff was super efficient and organised my wake-up call and express checkout. The room is large and bed I had was king-size. The bathroom was a bit dated and needed some repair. Bath drain held in by silicone. But perfect otherwise.
Comfortable airport transit hotel. Our flight was delayed, so the airline put us up in a room here. Comfortable bed. Clean room. Breakfast buffet was good, but I did see a cockroach on the counter near the coffee machines. 😨
Right at the airport so it's perfect if you have an early flight. Check in and out was fast and the service was good. Rooms were great, definitely felt like it was a 5-star hotel.
The best part was that it was a walking distance from the airport. I didn't even have to go outside to get there. We checked in and they delivered the luggage to our room. Unfortunately, we had a cockroach in our room. I went down and told them, and they didn't seem to understand. As soon as I showed them a video I filmed of the cockroach, they upgraded us without any questions. Excellent service.
I stayed here due to a cancelled flight. United gave me a voucher for hotel and meals.
The good. Location is awesome as you are next to the airport. Staff is professional and very helpful.
The bad. The rooms need major tlc. Carpet should be replaced as it is in poor condition. Bathroom needs major remodel
Scary looking gloomy hotel lobby. Only stayed for a few hours so this review may not be useful for some. The room is adequate but not enough power outlets. Cheap amenities. The only thing I loved was the bridge connection and short walk to the airport.
Great location for travelers, but poor on room maintenance, bathroom smells like urine on two separate rooms. Shower soap dispenser was also empty for both rooms, only replaced with one tiny 2oz bottle of shower gel. Tissue box was almost empty as well. Sad for a five star hotel.
Perfect for a short layover! Little bit expensive and extra for wifi but yeah. Good news for vegans: this hotel chain is vegan friendly now. Mostly junk food but still welcome!
Very convenient access to the airport, about a ten minute indoor walk. Good restaurants with worldly cuisine options. The beds are quite hard for my style, and the water in the shower didn't warm up fast at all, took minutes. Will stay again mainly due to convenience to airport.
Excellent service with fast check in. Clean room. Very convenient. Easy to take the train into the city. Would definitely stay here again.
Rooms themselves AAAAAVERAGE AT BEST for the price, but the service overall is pretty good. Room equipment, namely old tv sets and no actual availability of tv channels for free (OR WI-FI FOR THAT MATTER) are big no-no's, though and the only drawbacks from my point of view. Otherwise, this hotel IS LOCATED PHYSICALLY AT THE AIRPORT AND CONNECTED TO IT, with excellent links to downtown Hong Kong.
Very convenient location if you've got a long layover at the airport. There isn't much of an alternative, really. Clean rooms, quiet, but could be updated a bit and every time I stay I need to request an adapter for my US plugs.
Pretty good! The hotel itself is really big and located right near the airport with a direct access to the terminal via a bridge. There is a 30% discount on the 5 restaurants when you register to their members program (free). There were 2 pools we couldn't access because of a lack of swimwear :(
The buffet at cafe Aficionado is the best! All food even the dessert are very delicious. Many variation food from India, Thai, to Western
The room was great, clean, and the service was at most helpful. Once i got a jammed bathtub sink, but taken care of immediately. There's even a multimedia speaker and phone in the bathroom
Recommended for bussines travel and staying for connecting flight 👍👍
The toilet was leaking and when we requested assistance they sent someone but didn't fix it. On check out we again mentioned the leaky toilet but they didn't seem to care. The comforter had a heavy yellow stain. The lobby had a strong order.
You don't even need to physically leave the airport to get is as there is a connecting tunnel.
Nice rooms which are comfortable, but paper thin walls ( I could hear my colleague coughing in the room next door).
I would stay here again, purely for the convenience.
Been to lots and lots of airport hotels around the world. Regal is definitely one of the best. Close proximity to terminal, choice of different restaurants, quality of room and staff, great view over runway from rooms etc etc
Only good thing about the hotel is its location, a five or so minute level stroll from the arrivals hall. Not so easy to find at first, as signs for the hotel don't start until you get closer (go left once exiting arrivals, and keep walking until the end).
The check in experience was slow, and rather average. The room itself was extremely dated, and things were falling apart everywhere. Bathroom was quite dark when in the shower.
The worst part was unfortunately the main reason I was at the hotel - to sleep. I've not had a harder bed in a hotel before. There appeared to be a top mattress, but it was just like sleeping on a thin yoga mat on the floor.
A control panel by the bed to control the lights and air con, didn't really control the lights meaning I couldn't just have the bedside light on; it had to be the main bedroom light and the bedside lights, or complete darkness.
For the price you pay for this hotel, I would definitely have preferred in hindsight to pay around the same and go to the Marriott or Novotel nearby - even though that would have meant waiting for a shuttle bus.
