This is the nicest hostel I've stayed at.

They have a great work room / common area just for relaxing & getting on-line. Although I don't understand why you can't drink a beer in this space. That floor also has a TV room and a quiet space (where you can speak on your phone & not bother others).

There is also a communal kitchen & storage room etc along with a small restaurant on the street level.

The rooms are clean. I would much prefer to have curtains around the individual beds in the dorms though. The dorm rooms has shower / restrooms at each end of the room (there are two in my dorm room for 8 people). The lockers are a bit small for a backpack.

The location is not near tourist attractions, but the local fishing village / area is pretty picturesque and the bus 107 is very nearby & runs to downtown & returns very close by (about 1 block away).

Overall: This place is great, would stay here again & do recommend it.

Very nice hostel. Actually it's a hostel converted from a hotel, so the rooms and the bathrooms are three-four star hotel level. Very nice! Great people at the reception. Cozy bar completes the experience.

A beautiful, economic, clean, and ell managed hostel. From the moment you enter the lobby you are greeted by a fresh clean scent and a warm customer service oriented smile from Bret at the front desk. The rooms resemble a boutique hotel and are extremely clean. The kitchen/dining area is ample and clean. The have washing machines, dryers and an iron. located 15 minutes from the main areas and easy to find. This location will not disappoint.

Nice dorms with various social activities. Easy to travel to different places by bus. The common area were pretty good and you might easily meet travelers with the same wavelength. Recommend this place to people who want to stay at hostels in Hong Kong.

Before checking out after our recent four day stay at Mojo Nomad, we booked a future four days for our return in two months’ time — we love this place! We found it to be conveniently located right near Aberdeen and it is bright, spotlessly clean, well-appointed, with wonderfully charming and helpful staff who could not have been more attentive to our needs. Thank you to Stella, Jacqueline, Adrian and Sophia, we look forward to seeing you in April!

Business hotel with small but tidy rooms. Higher floor offers great views. Near to public buses.

Small rooms but tidy and cozy. There is a minibar in the room. Bus stops nearby to access central or causeway bay. Staffs are nice and friendly. Recommended for everyone.

Good option on Aberdeen South Island especially for solo travellers. Rooms are a little bit tight but they are conveniently equipped with all what you need. Complementary soft drinks are available in the minibar

You can enjoy nice sea view in a tidy and small room. If you visit southern places of Hong Kong Island, then it is worth consideration. They are kind and operate a shuttle bus to central.

The views from the higher floors facing the harbour are great. The hotel has nice touches such as free in-room minibar, snacks, an Apple TV. Breakfast is pretty basic, ditto the happy hour drinks (beer, wine, olives, cheese). The hotel could use some touch up: paint was peeling and our first room had a loud rattling AC.

Nice boutique hotel with free breakfast and happy hour. Also free water bottles and soft drinks provided in the lobby area 24/7 which is nice.

However, its a 27 floor hotel with 4 rooms on each level. Only room number 1 on each floor has a proper harbour view as it faces west towards the harbour. Rooms 2 and 3 on each level face south and have limited views of the barbour if you look out of your window towards the right. Room number 4 however (which is what we got) has no view of the harbour or of anything remotely nice

We chose this Ovolo hotel because of the 'harbour' views and because the location was different to the normal Kowloon or HK Island CBD. The Aberdeen area is a nice area to stay but we were disappointed that our view was of old apartment blocks, not the harbour.

Also, taxi and Uber fares from Aberdeen are approx $150-200HK and 30-40mins to Kowloon and $100-150HK to HK Island CBD and 15-30mins (as at March 2016).

Impatient staff + Badly maintained with poor cleanliness due to manpower shortage the counter staff said there is only one housekeeper so she only got 5 minutes each room from 8am to 6pm so linens only changed after three days. Toilet door falling off its hinges cannot be closed and the flush also spoil. Toiletries provided is diluted with water and the lights in the lift is left unrepaired for the fourteen days' stay.

Though the view is quite nice (if you pay extra) I'm not sure if it's worth the money. The room might have looked super modern 10 years ago but right now the paint comes off the walls due to high humidity plus you can clearly hear the noise from the outside road. Also NO free breakfast/happy hour, only if you book though their website. I found the mattress to be too hard, serious back pain after 4 nights. Would not book again, at least not for full price.

We were very excited to be staying here, but we're sorely disappointed on arrival. Everywhere was posted saying free breakfast and happy hour, but we were expected to pay a ridiculously high extra fee to access both of those things because we booked elsewhere (despite it saying on the site we booked on that it was all included).
We showed the staff this and they were not helpful at all, just kept insisting that we pay the extra amount. Poor service, especially considering we had already paid extra for an upgraded room.

The rooms were not cleaned by the time of check in, so they just put us in the only one that was cleaned, on a very low floor. The bathroom door was broken and walls were dirty. Luckily the view was decent otherwise I would have been a lot more angry.

I would not recommend this place due to its high price, out of the way location and disappointing rooms.
