Very very nice place been there 3 times now , This time it's a bit more busier 7 hotels on one complex .ok on the beech but you have to be early for a seat round the pool Good entertainment all round Michael Jackson is still performing, fantasia hotel is fantastic for the kids Very nice holiday again this year.
Beautiful resort, beach and water and will go again but has a few quirks. Food ranged from excellent to mediocre in restaurants but food at lunch buffet was always good and slightly different every day. Get the paella every time it is offered!!! Housekeeping and room service were spotty on a couple of days. Had trouble getting coffee packets and washcloths, oddly enough but those are minor in the overall experience. Wonderful and friendly staff. For English speakers, there will be an occasional challenge, especially if off-topic. Highly recommend!!
Overall we had a terrific time with a few MINOR quirks. Resort, beach and people are all beautiful. Friendly staff, although communication in English can be a touch challenging at times. Housekeeping and room service were spotty some days. Food at restaurants ranged from excellent to mediocre but service was always good. Food on lunch buffet was always good. Highly recommend the paella!!!
Just loved everything ♥️ our room was amazing. The staff always ready to help when needed. The restaurant's were awesome my favourite was the Mexican 🍸 our Butler Marco was so sweet and always asking us if we needed anything.. The pool was nice and big. I will be coming back
This resort, was terrible. The food was horrible. There was no variety day to day. The rooms had cockroaches and are very outdated. The wifi was absolutely unreliable. We never knew when it would work and that's how we communicated with home. The resort was age 50 and up mostly. And as a result they had a problem with late night noise and partying. I will never be going back to this resort. The only thing that was excellent here was the staff and service.
If you looking for great vacation Bahia Principe Amber Blue for Adults Only is the place! Great staff with outstanding service who truly tries to meet all and every needs, who will take time to make your vacation unforgettable. Great food with variety of everyday menu. Housekeepers who keeps this resort spotless. Bottlers who’s at your service, hardworking dancers and singers made our vacation outstanding! Special thanks to a Pablo at front desk, Marko our personal Butler and Elaine. Looking forward to meet with you again!
Simply put, everything was perfect.
I have dietary restrictions, so the food on a trip is always a problem. I had better help to know what I can choose in the buffet there than what I had in any restaurant in Canada.
The Beach is nice. The is an adult-only beach on one half of the Bahia Principe, just be sure to reserve in the right section to have access to it.
Night Life was fun, the à la carte restaurants were awesome.
Travelling to this resort on Feb 5 / 2018 looking at the mixed reviews makes me a little nervous. Friends of ours have been there and loved it. Looks like a nice resort just hope the rooms are nice and the air conditioner works and the fridge is fully stocked! :)
Beautiful grounds, great food selection at the buffets and themed restaurants. Rooms are beautiful as well. Housekeeping leaves something to be desired, however. During 7 days we've only received washcloths 2 times despite daily requests for them. In room bar was not restocked on 4 days. AC probably needs to be recharged as the room is a bit warm for comfortable sleeping. Best pool we've found at any Punta Cana resort.
A very large and busy hotel complex which won't suit everyone.
Plenty of entertainment, many restaurants and everything is good quality and plentiful.
Lovely beach, but quite busy.
Five stars partly reflects what you get for the price you pay. This is good quality and value for the price, but with an enterprise this size things can and do occasionally go wrong, and service sometimes isn't 5 star.
If you're easy going and like plenty going on then you may well love a vacation here!
This is a wonderful place to go, relax and enjoy. The best part is the friendly and smiley people around always ready to help you. The food is amazing, all you can imagine. The room is big and confiable. The employees are always cleaning and making the place perfect!!! I will be back soon!!!
Our butler Alexander was awesome. He was there for anything we needed during our stay and would appear to come out of nowhere whenever we needed help. Santo and his entertainment team were great all week and made sure there was never a dull moment (so much dancing). I would definitely come back to this resort.
Beautiful place and great pool and beach. Food wasn’t the best and the service was hit or miss depending on who was helping you out. Jonathan at the pool bar is amazing and made our trip! Jonathan, I love you.
This place is beautiful and the staff are super friendly and helpful. They go out of their way to say hello and ask how your day is. Some reviews complaining about the rooms nothing wrong with them. They're large and well cleaned. They're not modern but this is the Dominican not a 5 star in London. Everything you need is in them and they're well looked after. Come just after all the hurricanes and they've looked after it so well you'd never know apart from a few piles of debris to be removed.would highly recommend
The staff are very friendly, the rooms are very nice, and the resort itself is a blast. If you stay in Ambar Blue you have access to all other parts of the resort which is massive. The beach is well kept and nice. The pool is well kept and nice. We enjoyed our stay.
Amazing resort! Just got back from 1 week vacation and everything was perfect. The food was great, beach was beautiful and the service was outstanding. Anyone that has something negative about this resort is just being too picky. I would 100% recommend this resort!
Amazing resort ! The food was incredible, and the employees were very helpful. The beaches were gorgeous and I highly recommend doing the excursions that your airline offers! I can't wait to go back!
This was the worst experience I have ever had. We arrived at the hotel at 4:30 was given the wrong room. The bar and buffet were closed until 6:30 then while eating at the buffet I asked for a beer which took 10 minutes to get to the table. It says all inclusive but they limit of 2 beers per day in the room. The rooms are old and not kept up to par of a 4 star hotel. 4 star in Dominican republic and 2 star in the U.S.
Ambar Blue is a good choice when staying at Bahia Principe - it is close to the beach so you get quick access but also close to the main area as well. We enjoyed our stay here very much and would definitely come again. I would also check out esmerlda if you're an adult or Fantasia if you have children as those areas seem newer.
The resort was beautiful. The staff was pretty good. The food was our biggest disappointment. Linens on tables and utensils were not the cleanest. My wife ended up with weird bites from what we think was the bed. The pool was awesome until 5 when they shut it down. Learn the basics if spanish it will help. I gave 5l4 stars just cause of staff.
What a great experience! My sister and I were planning a trip to the DR and were considering doing something off the grid. The more we got into it, the more I said “screw it” and let’s just do an all-inclusive. The service was nothing short of excellent at all times. Everyone seemed to be having a good time even though they were at work. Very comfortable rooms. The shower water must have a high calcium content because it’s very hard – make sure you bring plenty of moisturizer. Food was excellent in the main buffet and the reservation restaurants. The pool is very clean – not overchlorinated at all, nor does it have a layer of oil and sunscreen on top of it. The pool is kind of the “party zone” (as much of a rager as you can have at an all-inclusive), whereas the beach is much quieter and tranquil. In order to get a good spot under an umbrella either at the pool or at the beach, get out there EARLY! I’m talking about 7 A.M. early. They fill up quick. Two things I wish I would have brought with me: my portable speaker for the pool/beach/room, and my Yeti cup! The little shops in the resort sell off brand Yeti cups and Bubba Kegs, but BRING YOUR OWN! You can go up to any bar and ask them to fill it with whatever you like. I would always tip 1 US dollar for every drink I got, and from what I understood, that was a pretty good rate. Remember your drinks and food are inclusive, but tips are very much appreciated. The only con I have is the solicitation around the pool. The guys at the scuba stand and the guy working the towel hut both gave us multiple pitches for why we should do tours there. I know they’re just doing their jobs though. Small price to pay for a great experience. I would also recommend bringing your own beach towel, solely for marking your chair by the pool or beach. I had a hard time remembering where I was sitting because all the towels are the same. I never felt weary about leaving my bag on my chair by the pool or on the beach. I felt safe at all times.
This is only part of a 5 complex hotel with thousands of guests. However each hotel is self contained offering different standards and adults only etc. Excellent facilities and choice of over 14 restaurants where we stayed in the adull only Amber Green. All branded drinks adults and spirits.Staff really helpful and friendly ..service adults did attention to detail impeccable. Great value for truly all inclusive in the Caribbean ie £1400 14 days ex London Gatwick.
Popular with Canada USA and UK patrons. Rooms could do with small uplift in decor but quality of size and finish exceptional by comparison with other hotels. Honestly recommended ..
Enjoyed my time here for my honeymoon. I love this resort one of the best in bavaro punta cana. Everything is nice and clean. Pools and beaches were spot less. The food was outstanding. One of the best resorts I've been too. The people are extremely nice and workers are really caring.
Had a fantastic holiday in Luxury Bahia Principe Ambar Blue, hotel clean and comfortable, staff welcoming, helpful and happy, an abundance of food to suit all tastes - nothing was too much trouble. We had a small hiccup with our room cards not working but this was dealt with quickly by the Staff. We would definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends.
Mediocre at best.Beach is goodbut very crowded.food is fair but surprising considering its a luxury resort.room service is a disaster.not one order was correct for coffee on the terrace in the morning
One shining star was our outstanding Butlerhis name is Marcosor as I see him as Super Marcos.I almost gave this review 4 stars because of the impact he had on my wife Suzanne and IBahia principe make sure you look after such a fine example of great service
