The resort is wonderful, but the tours are over priced and poorly managed. My advice, use the tours offered and represented by the resort. Blu/Expedia tours is an absolute waiste of time and money. At 6:25 a.m.we waited an hour plus for the arrival of our tour bus.

We have a nice time over there and the only reason was because the workers. They are so kind but this hotel really need more workers. The management of this hotel should invest more on the details. We had to change of room twice. The air conditioner is poor. They put us in a third floor with two babies and a stroller and there were not elevators. The refrigerator was not working and my baby food got damage so I threw all my pediasure bottles away. The plugs were a disaster. Just one in my room. The wifi is limited just one hour per phone. And Finally the floor that the picture shows does not correspond to the actual rooms. The rooms are totally uncare. The management must invest more if they want a good reviews.

The hotel was extremely understaffed for a busy the season of July. Understaffed at checkin and the bar. For a resort this size it needs more workers. We came in a group that required 3 rooms. There was no air conditioning in 2 out of the 3 rooms we booked. If you are looking for a resort where everything is close by this is not it. The restaurants are far from each other. You will have to do a lot of walking from the lobby to your room. You a need a towel card to get towels and the drink were extremely watered down. The told us check in time was at 3pm. We arrived at 10 am and when 11am came one room was ready, but when 3pm arrived the rest of our groups rooms were not ready. We had to wait till 5pm. If you wanted to use the safe in the room, you had to pay 4$ per day. The website states many amenities are included but they are not. You only get wifi in the lobby 1 hour per day, most resorts you receive unlimited wifi in the lobby. Upgrading you room is not worth it, the upgrade only includes traveling to other resorts and restaurants not within yours. We paid for a VIP upgrade, but that did not include wifi or a room upgrade, we felt taken advantage of. The hotel felt like it was a complete hassle. The service was terrible. You are better off going to a smaller resort.

Just returned from a beautiful wedding ceremony at the hotel. The grounds at the hotel are immaculant. The views of sunrise in the morning are priceless. The beaches are hand-racked cleaned every morning & the palms are pruned daily. While the grounds & beach are to die for, their customer service is mediocre at best.

As my brother was a groomsman in the wedding, I expected him to receive some sort of itinerary upon arrival with dates, times & locations of different activities for the wedding party. Nothing even ccame close to it! In fact, we never even saw the hotel staff wedding planner until the day of the wedding. So, we winged it & planned/booked our own excursions. Since the bride's family was Dominican it helped out tremendously with communication.

Tomas (at the front desk), Miguel (at Bavaro lobby bar) & our cleaning lady (I never got her name but we were in Bavaro villa 35) were always kind & courteous even if there was a language barrier. But the majority of the rest of their staff that I interacted with had no customer service at all. If you cann't speak Spanish & have no one there to speak for you, they will ignore you & keep going. They don't try to figure it out or get anyone else to help you. You're on your own.

Don't plan on getting USD from ATM.PESOS ONLY! And the window that's labled "currency exchange" just 3' away DOES NOT EXCHANGE PESOS FOR USD. You can only change the denominations.

Aside from the weak a.c. & room temperature fridge in our room (very important since almost every other main structure on property has a tiki style roof with no a.c.) the only other major shockers were the $10pp entry tax we were charged at the airport (before we even made it to customs) & a local clud exchanging fake money to tourist we had a blast. Just be prepared to stand your ground amongst Spanish speaking tourist. I will revisit Punta Cana but I will research & chooses a different resort.

I have been to this resort 3 times and each time surprises me more and more, the staff are excellent, caring and very attentive, nothing is too much trouble, the restaurants are great, beaches superb, my mother and I were last there in May/June 2016, my mother unfortunately had an accident, the staff acted very quickly calling the doctor and attending to her, we received a telephone call every day from Juan Carlos (superman) who asked how my mother was and if she needed anything, this was fantastic customer relations, and for this we would not only like to thank him, but to thank every member of staff, you all do a fantastic job, I can not wait to go to the resort again.
