A good 3 stars resort. Far from a 4.5 for the adults section. Fantastic selection of food rarely well cooked. Room are rarely complete, missing towels, mini bar left empty. Old looking room. Beach is amazing but noisy with the marina and multiple helicopter passing every 15 min. If you are looking for a quiet peaceful place look elsewhere.

Have been here for a week. The place is big and there is something to do for everyone in the family. I particularly recommend their entertainment on the beach. The entertainment staff puts on great activities for the guests in the morning by the pool (aerobics) in a very fun way and it ends with Zumba on the sand. Leo and the girls do an.awesome.job of making it fun for all involved. There is also a night show with different themes from Michael.Jackson to Night of the stars, Vegas Night and Brazilian night. I highly recommend. My stay is coming to
an end but I hope to be back soon!! 😎

Beautiful beach and well maintained property. The beach and pools were some of best in the Caribbean, in my opinion. The facilities are top notch and the staff are hard working, friendly and helpful. The food is good but not great. Didn't mind the buffet being pretty much the same every day because it who really needs encouragement to eat too much at an all inclusive, right? I wished the table service restaurants were a bit better food, though. They were basically the same food as the buffet, just in a very leisurely table service pace.

Beautiful resort right on the ocean. It is very well kept and clean. There is a large staff and you can see them working diligently to keep everything tidy and clean. Excellent service by all of the staff, they go out of their way to help. Plenty available to do onsite - bowling, arcade, pool, kayaks, paddle boards, wind surfing, small water park, lots of pools, casino, evening entertainment each night. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the food left something to be desired. We had several very good meals (Mexican, Italian and French restaurants are fantastic) and there is a huge variety and selection at the buffets, however much of the food at the buffets seemed like cafeteria quality. Found out near the end of my stay that there is a vegetarian/vegan card available which can be presented at restaurants to be given veggie options as many restaurants didn't have many veggie options right on the menu. Would have been nice to know that sooner.

Not the worst but I will not be visiting again. The resort is huge and the rooms are accommodating. But if you do not speak Spanish, this may not be the place for you. It took over an hour to get checked in, the reservations for the restaurants can only be made once you check in and depending on what day you arrive, you will not get a spot at certain restaurants. Most staff was friendly with the exception of the concierge person who would not help us with our reservations. The lock to our door broke. We complained about having trouble getting in for 2 days before we were completely locked out and then they decided it was time to fix it. We were locked out for about 2 hours at 3am! On the day of my departure my luggage was put on a different shuttle and was missing for 2 hours and I almost missed my flight back to the states. The buffets were okay but really they focus more on the food in the restaurants. The shows were alright but I expected more. Pools were beautiful and the souviner shop was well priced. All in all, I would not visit again.

Beautiful grounds, pools and beach very nice though very difficult to impossible to find seating, our room far from activities, (few to many 'blocks' in distance), (though there is rotating open bus if you can wait; ) room dated and not that clean, food plentiful but poor quality and you need to make reservations to get in restaurants on first day. Even though we did, we still could not get in all the ones we wanted. Then you wind up at buffet.again. Many of the staff seemed to hate their jobs as not friendly nor helpful. Got locked out of room (both key cards) one evening (no apology), some things had additional fees.. rediculous. Overall was okay and reasonably priced, but won't be returning.

Great place, we stayed for 7 days the resort was well staffed and the amenities were very good. The place is huge 3 different areas you can go plus 4 very large pool areas. The beach was well maintained. There was some sea weed that came in during the day, but they removed it each morning. Pool during the day was fun. Lots of activities . We did not go off the grounds other than excursions. Buffets were good but the individual restaurants we ate at were very good. I would suggest the premium level if you come gives you ocean views plus extras. For the most part everyone spoke English, if not they were very helpful to find someone. It's hard to say much negative we had a wonderful time.

Beach is amazing. Drinks were good. Food was ok. Staff was mostly friendly and attentive. Entertainment was as expected. The pool is nice, the shops are varied, and overall it's pretty dang amazing. I'd go back!

For negatives, I'd say the "Cigar Lounge" was a complete disappointment. The sports bar didn't have the game we wanted to watch on display, and not surprising - our "ocean view" room had an ocean view only if you walk onto the patio and leaned over the railing.

This was a family/friends trip. The resort was huge and beautifully landscaped. We were all excited as we approached the main entrance. Check in was quick and easy, we got there about two hours before check in and the rooms were ready. The rooms were modern, clean but would need to be updated soon. There was such a great variety of food and all of them were great. Our favorite was the Spanish restaurant the food was well seasoned and tasted great. There were several pools but the beach was amazing and was miles long. The entertainment was good there was a show every night and there were fun games during the day. Not to mention a casino and a discotheque. The service was excellent and had no complaints about staff. We would definitely return to this resort we all had an amazing time that's why I am giving it five stars. I highly recommend this resort you will not be disappointed.

Pros: The location is great. Great swim up bar. They do a great job of keeping the place clean.

Cons: flies are everywhere. The food is average to below average. Some staff members are friendly, but the majority in my opinion are not.

Everyone is so helpful! The food is excellent. My room is immaculate, very spacious and comfortable. There is so much to do. If you get lost? Just ask someone and they will show you the way. Awesome experience!

Stay has been great. Staff are friendly. The buffet provides enough variety and was our preference. Enough to do if you enjoy sun, sand and sea. I would advise leaving a tip for house keeping, generally a couple of dollars a day is good.. Got this from online recommendations. The room was cleaned everyday.
    Great place highly recommend it.

The only points I would make is not to be rushed into making decisions about additional off site activities.

Also when I was trying to ask for our rep, who was not available everyday to work out transport back to airport, other reps failed to tell me to look at the rep folder where you can obtain a contact number.

It was an amazing experience, I went with my family it was 4 of us and we shared the junior sweet with double beds and the jacuzzi in the patio. We must say we fell in love here the beach is beautiful although they do have seaweed but you can not complain because they do clean it up every morning! Food was amazing as well as drinks. We very much enjoyed the club it had splendid Spanish music and the bar was quick service. We did have one incident where in the plaintiffs you read there are no "reservations with a towel on beach or pool chairs" but no one seems to get the memo and rules a barely followed. Other than that it was an absolute blast.

Absolutely loved it. Beautiful views, beautiful rooms, beautiful campus. Close to many external activities. The main entertainment center was playing any major shows while we were there which was odd. Just local simple bands. Might have just been the season. The food was par for the course, but did like the pre booking reservation system in principle, kept an air of mystery. VERY young kid friendly.

I would have to say that we stayed at the premium beach view room and it was the best looking room that I have ever seen and experienced. The rooms were large and we had a Jacuzzi on both the inside and outside patio. We did like the swimming pools and kids swimming/sliding areas. The food was good and they even had some snow crabs and lobsters.
I love to go to tropical locations for their fresh juices. If there is one thing to improve that would of made my experience great, it would be fruit juices. Currently, the fresh fruit juices are blended so there is SO much pulp. It would of been great if their juicers were extractors so that most of the pulp would of been removed.
In our rooms, we did see some termites with wings but it was minor.

This place was absolutely beautiful. I had the most amazing time. Our concierge Stephanie was fabulous every time. The Spa, is elegant and i don't have the words to detail my super wonderful experience, hands down, the best massage I ever had. Some restaurant staff wasn't customer service friendly and I didn't enjoy the food as much as I thought I would. This was definitely a fun and adventurous trip, I will return.

    It was mediocre at best.
The Pros: The beach is beautiful, and the ocean is warm. It's a large hotel with lots of things to do. The kids club is nice, and has good activities. Regular theater shows in the evening.
The Cons: Food is very bland and mediocre. Lots of stupid rules - for example, you get towels in your room, and then you have to carry them with you to exchange at the pool. The service is poor - default response from people working at a resort is a "no" instead of a "yes". Example - they told us that restaurants' availabilities are only at 10pm - way too late for us - without looking at computers or reservations system. When we insisted, turned out that they had many availabilities. Lots of hidden costs everywhere - kids pool (extra charge), spa (extra charge), late check out (extra charge), Wifi ($45 for a week with spotty bad coverage) In short - for the same price you can go to a resort with better service and less issues + better food.

Our daughter's wedding- it was a disaster. the wedding coordinator was never present and we had a lot of complains. after submitting our complains the hotel responded via email saying they were sorry. No one took responsibilities for all the mistakes they did on a special day for our family. One example the bridesmaids' dresses were stain in the church chairs and all wedding guess that have light color dresses were stain too. the photo service, the food, the reception, Horrible services. Poor coordination.

This is the best resort I've ever been, it is amazing everything included you don't have to worry about anything. Food, drinks, entertainment, pool, and kids water park, besides that the rooms have Jacuzzi, the beach is so clean and the night time is just plenty of activities. I definitely would go back to Barceló Bavaro palace..

We had a GREAT time! This All Inclusive Palace resort is handicap accessible for the disabled. Food was good with a wide array of choices for all including vegans. Clean rooms, pleasant staffour best island experience yet! *** Your experience depends on your tipping and attitude.*** Understand, even though tips are included the staff work for their money. They aren't slaves and should be treated with respect which is shown by tipping. $1 Us currency = $45 DR currency.

The main resort(Palace) is fabulous with an adult and family resort within walking distance. The train transporting guest between all the resorts is cool to ride especially at night up till 4am. The pools were clean with plenty of available lounge chairs by the pool. The beach was clean of debris, seaweed, rocks and shells. Lounge chairs were also available on the beach. Golf course, water park, disco, casino, spa, full size fitness center, bowling center and theatrical performances every night. We never left the resort for 5 days. We will be returning.
