Very clean. For the price we paid for our vacation we were very happy with results. All inclusive but tips were expected, which I had no problem with but would rather tip on my own and will tip more when it isn't expected. Also spots on beach and pool were marked early and then not used for hours at a time, however I think that is a common practice in most places unfortunately . But would definately return! !!

It was beautiful, clean, in 1 minute you are on the beach. The only negatives are it doesn't have separate smoking areas so you are constantly smelling smoke and someone is always trying to sell you something, but I would still recommend it and hope to return. If those 2 negatives were addressed it would be a higher rating definitely.

The Vik Hotel is relaxing clean and the people that work there treat you like family. I love this place and would recommend it if you just need to rest and relax and her your thoughts together. The food and drinks are great as well. Can't wait to go back again. 1 week is just to short of a stay.

Just ok. I would not go back. Slow Wifi only in lobby .limited seats. Slow check in. Room smelled musty. Food was ok. Drink service was fast. From a group of 7 , 5 came back sick.

Decent place to relax and get away for a week. Not many English speaking people or things going on on the resort after 10-11. Rooms clean, friendly staff. Not many places to eat after 9. Close to the beach.

the Staff is extremely nice! I enjoyed meeting the workers. Room was always clean when i came back to the room. Food is amazing, and all included. You don't have to pay for anything unless you want to tip them. I would most defitently reccomend people to go here.

Unfortunately the beach doesn't look like on hotel's site. There are tonnes of green glones every day on the beach. Stuff cleans it, but it comes back. The food is average. A/C in the room smells with mold and we didn't use it. Stuff is very nice and I like the pool. But I won't come back there.

Terrific all-inclusive hotel at a great value. Stayed here in July 2017 with my wife and a group of friends and we each paid around $50 a night. Leading up to our visit, we read some of the recent posts on this hotel and we were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. We found the hotel modern, clean and above all else very safe. Staff was great. Amenities were good. Food was good for the most part, except for the lack of options at the after hours snack bar. Along with the fact they don't serve the popular domestic beer "Presidente" and lack good liquor altogether, are the only two things keeping me from giving this a 5-star rating. With that being said, we are already making plans to return next year.

I would not recommend this repetitive to anyone. First, the food is absolutely horrible!! The "snacks that they serve between 3:30pm and 5:30pm are hot dogs and hamburgers, sometimes chicken but you better get their quick or else you've gotta just work with the fries and burgers. I didn't expect to be served hotdogs and hamburgers on vacay at this resort. Also, the specialty restaurants are horrible as well. I would just stick to the beans and rice and bread that you can find at the buffet. Oh and fruit. Another reason I would not recommend is the amount of black mold in the rooms is ridiculous! The sheets are not changed daily. I wore makeup my first night and I'm on day 5 and still have the same sheets on my bed. I went to he lobby to ask for towels today and was told not because my room was already cleaned and I'm not allowed more than two towels. This sounded unheard of when staying at a resort so I asked for the information I was given at check in that stated that. Of course there was none the real reason for the run around was the shortage of towels on site. The supervisor came to my room and seen the way my room was not cleaned and sheets not changed (after stating they are changed daily) and insured me things would be better. I don't believe it but at this point I have two more days before I'm gone and I can not wait! The staff is very friendly but some work with the solicitors you can tell and that's kinda annoying. All and all stay away from this place! Better resorts in the area. Oh wait, and the gym has no spray to wipe the equipment down, no towels and very outdated and rusty equipment.

this was my first stay out of the US and it was very nice. the room was oka Hampton Inn is betterbut worked for me. one downside was the buffet food was like a golden corral.. was expecting to have some different foods to get but I did not. the staff was very friendly Felipe, and Yulivel the on-site doctor are my new friends. all in all it was a great experience. would not recommend this hotel for the younger folk. it seems to be more of a older European crowd.. the hotels farther down the beach are more lively.

My friend and I just returned from a week at the resort and completely concur with the previous review. The grounds were very lush and the fabulous view from our balcony included pool, palm trees and ocean. The close proximity to the beach made it that much more enjoyable. The resort staff was extremely friendly and helped us with our every need. We did find the solicitation annoying but not unbearable as the solicitors were very friendly and didn't push it. A gentleman in reservations went above and beyond to secure a beautiful room with a view in the new building. The gentleman in photography was very helpful with our needs and provided us with lovely memories of our magnificent holiday! Servers in all restaurants were very respectful, efficient and thoughtful which enhanced our dining experiences. The beachfront loungers and palm thatched huts were plentiful along the spectacular coastline and azure waters. Good budget vacay!

I recently had a trip here. I must say, the beach was phenomenal. It's quiet, and there aren't so many people that you're stepping over each other. The water is warm, it's gorgeous, and it's very close to the hotel. The beach was for sure the best part of my trip though. The hotel itself was nice. The rooms were very large, and the A/C works pretty well, which was definitely a "must" with the humidity and heat. The staff is incredibly friendly, and they LOVE kids. I speak english, and there were no issues communicating with anyone. The reason for my 3 star review, instead of 5, is due to the enormous amount of sales people at the hotel. It was impossible to walk anywhere without being confronted by several time share salesmen telling me that they're my friends and that they have a V.I.P. experience for me. This gets frustrating when you encounter the same timeshare salesmen 3 to 6 times a day when you're walking back and forth from the hotel to the cafe, beach, or bar. I eventually had to just say no and act completely rude for them to leave me alone. The sheer number of solicitations definitely dropped my experience down a notch, and almost made it to the point where I didn't want to leave the hotel room because I didn't want to deal with solicitations. It's tough to relax when you encounter the same crap you just left at home, and ultimately trying to get away from. I would give the hotel 4 stars without the number of solicitors at the resort.

Nice compact resort, don't have to run for days to get to the beach or the buffet. Could use more customer service, lots of serve yourself. Food was good never tired of the buffet and I ate it for 2 weeks.

We just came home after 8 days in your hotelTHANK YOU SO MUCH for this vacation and great time with you amazing food( 47 kinds of food), friends, garden, room with balcony in second building (2214 ),great people ih whole resort but specially THANKS PEOPLE IN "EL BUCANERO" restaurant, THANKS PEOPLE IN BUFFET RESTAURANTSGreat ocean, clean water, only problem is BEER!!! We saw that you have a lot of Germans, Russians and you don't care European beer like Heineken, Amstel, Corona . that's only complain about resort. Great ANIMATION people but our favorite is MILIshe is amazing lady,funny and you guys should be happy to have someone like her.EVERYBODY LOVES MILITHANK YOU FOR "VACATION FROM HEAVEN " and see you next September 😘🍻😎🌏🎤🎵
