One of the best locations to stay in the heart of the city. I just walked from here to most of the places. The hop on hop off bus stop was very close. The hostel has a special service of discount on beer just outside the hostel. Enjoyed every moment in Frankfurt.

The Hostel is located in the red light district and while it can appear shadey it is safe. You'll see a lot of drug addicts and get hounded by the occasional strip club promoter but you won't be mugged or anything. It's also very close to the train station so that's a huge plus. The staff is very friendly and while there aren't any organized activities the bar hostel common room frequently is filled with people and it's easy to start a conversation over a beer. The rooms are clean and perfectly adequate for a hostel. If I was going back to Frankfurt I would have no hesitation booking this hostel again.

Got a private room for 40 euros and it was very spacious. Check in isn't until 4pm which may be an issue for some but checkout is at noon. Area is a little seedy but there were a decent number of people walking around at night so I didn't feel unsafe. Great proximity to the Hauptbanhof, less than a block walk. Would stay again.

Great for the price. I arrived very late (1:30am) to discover they'd overbooked, but they found a place for me to sleep anyway. The bar area was very lively and everyone was friendly, especially Esther. If you need a cheap place to stay and meet some other travellers, this is the place to go. It's very near the train station and has it's own bar. The other bars in the area aren't all that hot - just stay in the 5elements and meet some people.

The service was great. We definitely got a lot for our money. Its very near the station which is super convenient and only about a 10 minute walk to the centre. Only downside was that it was right next to the red light district which wasn't comfortable to walk through alone. Overall is really good.

Love this place! It's just amazing! The staff members are super friendly, the atmosphere is very welcome and everyone is trying to make you to feel like at home :) if you want to have the good experience in Frankfurt, than Five Elements Hostel is definitely the place you're looking for!

The staff was very friendly and in more than one day you could get some free food prepared by the staff. (I recommend to tip though. Come on!)
The rooms were spacious for a hostel. Bunk beds had lockers under them that were big enough for most sports/travel bags. Both showers and restrooms were always clean.
The luggage room was spacious and if you bring your own lock, you can leave your stuff in one of the cages of the common room, which is a lot better than asking the staff for the key to the luggage room if you know you'll be leaving in a hurry later.response / report this review -

The place is amazing for the price paid, great to stay to catch the flight out, or switch from bus/train/plane. Rooms are decent sized, and clean. Some strange rules like no food or drinks in the room, but otherwise great staff.

This place is really really fantastic. It's the most social hostel I've been to in Europe and the staff are all incredibly friendly. The bar has a cool happy hour and there's events every night. I've had a fantastic stay here. It's in a somewhat sketchy area, but the security at the hostel makes it feel fine and it's decently close to everything, including the trainstation! Which is a huge plus for someone budget traveling at awkward hours of the night.

This hostel is in a bid neighborhood but the hostel in itself is cool. I would recommend it for students as it is quite cheap and the rooms are nice.
The guys from the hostel are nice and propose many activities.
