Disclaimer: I own a small hotel.

I typically choose a place that hits higher then what one pays for. This hotel fits the bill and is super German clean. Furthermore one has the feeling the whole place is efficient. My room is small, it has a single bed, no wasteful extras, and super small cosy bathroom.

There seems to be few ways to get here but I take the alley way. It is a bit dark and if you watch a lot of movies you might get scared but I found it safe. I did see others take my route make and female. So don’t let fear take over.

If you are looking for a place to sleep this is it.

The room I got was awesome, it was bigger than I expected (because people said they had small rooms). Very clean and really good attention from the reception guy. Really close to the Main train station like a block away. Breakfast is good and the bed are the best. For the price I paid it has been awesome. Only 2 things I didn't like much was that there is a construction site in front of the hotel and the entrance to the hotel is on a street where you don't feel safe. A lot of homeless people and what looked like drug addicted people. Are roaming the street. But after that it is really good hotel to pass the night and wake up fresh.

Good and cheap place in the center of Frankfurt . Clean, super friendly stuff. Interior isnt brand new but you can not expect more with this price. Breakfast ok but nothing special. Continental breakfast, no warm food. The area is known as a problem area in Frankfurt. Even in the daytime you will see junkies and homeless people.

If you like sleeping and feeling safe, then this hotel probably isn't the right one for you.

The hotel is located opposite a large and incredibly noisy bar which has drunken people on the streets having loud and drunken conversations with each other. The noise was so loud and didn't stop until 3am every night. What is worse, is that there is also a massive construction site opposite the hotel. So at 5:30am I was woken by loud drills and the yelling of tradespeople to one another. I thought the weekend would be OK, but it turns out they work on Saturday mornings too!

Whilst this hotel is close to the main train station, it is also very close to a huge community of drug addicts who hang out on the same street (an injection room on 49 Niddasstrasse) which makes things super uncomfortable from 6pm onwards when you are walking back to your hotel and there are people shooting up on the street. I strongly recommend families NOT to stay here because it is not a safe area.

The room itself is small and wasn't particularly clean. The breakfast had a fairly good selection of bread and things to eat - that might be the only positive thing I can say about this hotel.

All in all, I would recommend staying somewhere a bit more pricier and closer to the main shopping district area with lots of cafes and cool markets than here.

Excellent location just off the Frankfurt Railway Station. However street below extremely noisy at night and a bit sketchy too.

This is rather a hostel than a hotel. The breakfast was the worst of all I had during my 14 days trip in Europe. The room has neither a WC nor a shower. Shared facilities are located in the hall way each floor, with only one WC and one shower.

I stayed for 3 nights in May. It was my second visit, the first being in 2012. Since 2012 the hotel has been extensively refurbished. The staff are pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was typical German fare but excellent all the same.

I had a single room with en-suite. It was a good size, well-appointed, and comfortable. The hotel is a short stroll from the entrance to the Hauptbahnoff shopping arcade (underground). There is no shortage of places to eat in vicinity, and a number of small supermarkets.

Good tariff considering how central it is.

As others have commented it's a rather downmarket area with drug users, drunks, beggars and so on. On the other hand there are upmarket hotels around the corner and it doesn't bother guests staying there. I never had any trouble during the day and into the evening. Can't say what it's like late at night. This is not the hotel's issue. The city authorities clearly have a relaxed attitude to street squalor and public nuisances and put their convenience ahead of paying visitors. It does not reflect well on Frankfurt.

The only downside was the parking garage on street level. The door made a hellish racket when it went up and down, which it did often during the evening. It really needs a bucket of grease on the tracks.

I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. I recommend the Hotel Adler. It's a combination of sound quality and convenience.
