Care or damage your vacation in this place
In 1- care with this place are scammers. I made a reservation for my family including the children, of course, and when they arrived at the place they charged me for each extra child in cash and did not want to give me receipt of the payment. Then the rooms are dirty you can see in the picture a cockroach and even a lizard in my room, the food is so unhealthy and bad there are flies everywhere enzyme of the food that you have to eat, the drinks are the worst and if that It is not all they have to see the way of attention is lousy everyone in that place cares for the worst. What an unpleasant stay ruined my vacations. I warn you so that the same thing does not happen to you.response / report this review -

You get what you pay for! This is not the most modern nor the cleaniest hotel in Varadero but one of the fun all inclusive hotel we stayed in. The beach is just a cross the street and it is supervised by the hotel. There is also a beach bar so you do not have to walk far to get the drinks and then get on with sunbathing/swimming. The food was ok compared to other food place we tried during our stay in Cuba. Again you get what you pay for! I would definitely go again if I just wanna stay low key and enjoy my vacation.

If I can give this hotel a -5 rating I would. I have traveled all over the world and by far this is the worst experience I ever had with a hotel . The food was terrible I was eating outside most of the time. me and my friends booked an adventure package to go jet skiing and swim with dolphins and the bus driver left us and when we tried to get our money back they did not want to give it to us . We had to call the local police to try and help us sort it out but it didn’t work so the lady pretty much pocketed 400 cuc which is equivalent to 600 cdn dollars . Even the manager wasn’t any help for us cause he was taking sides with his employee . My bed sheets had stains on it and when I asked for a replacement they never sent me one I had to get the sheets changed by the house keeping lady the next morning . I couldn’t wait to get the hell out of that hotel .if you are thinking of booking this hotel in Varadero please reconsider because they are nothing but liars and thieves .

Worst hotel ever. Food same every day. Dining area so dirty. Plates and glasses needed to clean before use as bits of food was left on it. Room good size but very poor housekeeping. Dusts everywhere. Bath was not clean all week. My daughter had bad stomach crumps and diarrhea after eating food in this hotel. AVOID.

No hot water in room for a week. Phones did not work.
Food used at breakfast is recooked for lunch+ dinner.( Cuba Varadero resorts/ hotels)
Invited to a dinner for "special guests" in the resort restaurant. Served shrimp soup and beef for dinner.
My cousin got food poisoning that night. (I didn't because I did not eat this dinner.)
I used to subscribe to, "food sucks, its Cuba" NOT anymore! Outside of Varadero, authentic Cuban food is delicious.response / report this review -

Overall, basic and average. Rooms were clean but very basic. Few things broken such as lamp as well as a few plug sockets. Customer service was poor having a chat while long queues at bar. But this is probably just Cuban relaxed-ness. Not all drinks are all inclusive with an ok range but not massive.
Good access to beach and bar near by. Also unlike other resorts in the area it did not have activities during the day, such as pingpong or yoga unlike it advertises, but boats are available during the day.
The eclipse bar has a great view but drinks aren't included with your stay. Be wary as experienced that some locals do like to take advantage of drunk tourists pickpocketing.response / report this review -

Not bad for a cheaper hotel. Very decent variety of food, and everything else is ok too. But keep in mind that if youre looking for luxury and 5 star service and amenities this is not the place for you.

The best part about the hotel was the beach, after that the reception. Considering the fact that we came from the hotel that was couple of categories better that this one (personal opinion and grading system) I thought that impression was bias. Spending 4 nights here, I was sure my opinion is not wrong.
The buffet is overcrowded (it was like a hive), the stuff are OK, but the water you get is not bottled and tap water is being poured from the bottle. You have to hunt for the plate or the cup, you have to hunt for the spoon, fork and knife. I would say that even the plates coming as clean ones doesn't always look clean. It looks like somebody just used hose. There were days that you couldn't choose something to eat since I quit trying after making two mistakes with the food in 2 minutes (and I can eat almost everything). I would just pick some fruit, sweets and ice cream since that was something they couldn't mess up much.
We were at the 8th floor, only one elevator was working so you spend a lot time waiting for it. We were with the baby so the baby bed was provided. I can bet it was more comfortable than mine and it's the camping crib. The sheets were clean (I would not say that the whole room was clean). Stuff was mostly OK and friendly, I can't say something bed about people working there. I still think we made mistake not asking for the new room due to the condition of the bed in the room (one of the beds was not possible to use since the middle would almost touch ground when I am on it - only 100kg not an elephant).
I spent time in a hostels there were better solution that this one. Not the place I would recommend for the money paid.response / report this review -

One of the worst hotels i have ever been. The air condition on our room wasn`t workin and our room smelled like mold. The buffet food was crappy and the whole buffet smelled like dumpster. All inclusive drinks were made on plastic cups from the cheapest rom in Cuba. If you have any chance of taking a hotel further away on the peninsula do it.

This place is the worst I have ever seen OMG!!! management sucks and cares less.The resort is ancient and is filthy,,stayed april10-23, I,m sure every rude food grubbing Cuban went through the facility when I stayed.The Cubans would come every day from Havana and drink every drink in the place fill the pool with piss and scoff every lick of food in the place up what they couldn't get in there mouth they,d stuff in there bags.Do yourself a big favour and pick a 4 star this place is discussing!!!!

I stayed at this hotel for 1 week. If it were not for the natural beauty of the country, it would have been the worst trip of my life.
The only thing in the hotel that works very well is the hotel reception when you first arrive, after that, pray to God for a miracle to happen in your life. The rooms are not insulated enough to keep the noise outside. Broken bulbs in the bedroom. The hot water runs out sooner than you think. The maids do not change the towels or bed linen without tips. The television in the room is from the 80's and no channels available LOL.
The pool has dirty water all the time.
There is no food all the time as we believe that an "all inclusive" usually has. At night they say they serve a sandwich which is actually just a piece of dry bread.
The bars do not serve all day, they have no drinks after 11 at night. Drinks during the day when it is served is of poor quality. Even water you have to buy.
THE RESTAURANT: Well, the restaurant is the worst of all things. The dishes are always dirty. It seems that nothing is washed there. The tablecloths were not changed any day of the seven days I stayed there. And It was already dirty when I first got there. They do not have enough dishes for everyone. You have to wait for them to finish eating their food before you are able to get dishes. And usually, when it's your turn, the food is over, there's only one remnant left for you to eat and usually cold.
Nobody serves you well in this place, apparently, everything in this hotel and in Cuba, works at the tips base.
In all the time I stayed, only two people met me nicely, the nicest waitress in the bar who was a beautiful and cheerful black maid and the lady waitress in the restaurant who coincidentally is also a black woman and very sympathetic. All other staff seems to be doing you a favor.
Of all the experience I had in Cuba the only good thing were the tours offered by AirCanada, which are very good but very expensive.
Ah! Before I forget, they do not like Americans very much but everything is paid in American Dollars. So make no mistake, if you see price, it certainly is American dollars.response / report this review -

Nice view from the room, and a very nice beach. But the air cooler in the room makes it nearly impossible to sleep, the elevator is not working (room at 7th floor) and the all-inclusive hotel restaurant smell so bad that you want to puke, and it wouldnt survive a health inspection either. Avoid if you can!

Filthy room and horrible service. Mold in the room, wet dirty towels, the bed sheets were dirty with hair on it and the bathroom was disgusting. Don't waste your time!

Bad service from the staff, I call from abroad to my family who is staying at this hotel and they are very rude, they cut my calls. In addition, they record calls. Because when the communication is cut off and then it is heard and I'm still on the line I hear again everything that my daughter was talking about from the hotel and that happened to me 2 times. That is lack of privacy. Be careful with this hotel.

Horrible!!! Horrible!!! Horrible!!!! Would someone please do the merciful thing and put this establishment out of business.
The hotel is BEDBUG and COCKROACH infested. I thought I would have
a cheap vacation. It cost me $1200.00 to have my home treated against
bedbugs. We were bitten and scratched to the point of bleeding.
It is located downwind from a refinery. Some nights the smell of rotten
eggs get so bad it wakes you up.
The pool is dirty. Full of sand. The filtration system does not work.
No attempt ever made to fix it.
The public washroom is seldom cleaned and no supplies. There is not
a shred of soap in sight and the toilet paper is a hand rolled stack of
toilet paper. Most of the time there is no paper.
One elevator is permanently out of order. The other one works
occasionallywhether it takes you all the way to the 7th floor
or stops on the 3rd (and you have to take the stairs to the 7th floor)
depends.. God knows on what. Naturally no attempt made to
have it fixed.
The bed sheets and towels are hand washed it seems to me. I could
see rooms set aside on the 1st and 2nd floor to hang and dry
the sheets. Where and how they were washed I have no idea.
The floor in your room is only swept, not vacuumed. There is so much
sand and grit left on the floor you have to wipe your feet before
getting into bed.
The restaurant is a disaster. HORRIBLE food and NOT ENOUGH.
There is a small BBQ (the size of the average garden BBQ) in the
middle of the dining room. To get an omelet in the morning or a
piece of meat for lunch of dinner you line up for 20 min.
There is no wine service. You have to get up and get to a stand up
bar located in one corner and ask for wine. The bar is only manned
when someone has the time to be there.
And, BEWARE, BEWARE.this is an establishment that does not have enough cutlery, glasses or china to operate properly.
The staff collects the cutlery, dumps in bucket and dries it. It is up
to you to find you your cutlery. Glasses..brought out every now and then but never enough to meet the demand.
You line up for plates before you line up for food.
Teaspoons do not exist. You stir your coffee with knife, fork, finger
whatever you have available.
Coffee cups are a rarity. You drink your coffee out of soup bowls.
NAPKINS.If you are there and get a seat when they open the door
for breakfast, lunch and dinner, you'll get one. After that, forget it.
I started to bring toilet paper from my room to use as a napkin.
Coffee is only available for breakfast and dinner.
We ended up going elsewhere for our meals. It was not worth
the frustration to fight for cutlery, plates and glasses. But it
added to the cost of our so called "All Inclusive".
The staff is so rude to the clients you believe they are part of a
comedy routine.
I gave this hotel a rating of one star because that is the only way I could publish my comments.

Recently stayed here. A lot of the advertisements are false. There is no satellite tv. Its very minimal cable. The internet is not worth purchasing while there you can only use it in the lobby and it takes half an hr to load a web page. The food service is ridiculously limited. They cannot keep up in their dining hall to facilitate the amount of guests they have. There are no fridges in the rooms that are stocked with necessities like juice and water. (Had to go to a convenience store to purchase cases of water and juice as they only give you a small cup full when you ask for something) The front desk staff are not in anyway helpful. Especially if items go missing from your room. (Cellphone/sunglasses/articles of clothing)
On to the room. We were conveniently located right above the kitchen so our room smelt of every meal possible (that can make anyone want to be sick to their stomach) and humid beyond belief to the point the bathroom door wa warping and bulging there was mold on the tub/shower ceiling There was constantly water on the bathroom floor coming from the wall behind the shower. And only half of the lighting worked.
On the plus side the bar staff by the pool were nice and were very hospitable.
I don't recommend this hotel if you are thinking you are going to have decent meal service and accommodation.response / report this review -

This hotel is stuck in time, the 70's that is.
It is run down, unsafe and the dinning room is not equipped for this all inclusive joke.
Every service was a stampede to get everything from a table down to cutlery, the buffet was half empty
And the staff was nonchalant even with a good tip, they would ignore customers for minutes on end, completing meaningless tasks or chatting amongst themselves.
I have to say the hotel was reasonably clean but everything else made this place lost it's supposed 3 star standing.response / report this review -
