Beautiful hotel in a great location. Got a free upgrade to a suite, so can't comment on the size of the rooms (which other patrons seem to have found small). Front-desk service was excellent. We had dinner at the hotel's Mexican restaurant, which was rather good (and expensive, but that's Switzerland).

This hotel is located 2 blocks from the main Lucern train station. We walked there with our luggage it is so close. The staff provides excellent service and the restaurant on site is very good. There is a fitness room and a lounge. While the hotel is old, it is kept up very well and the rooms are modernized.

Great location 10min walk from train station ! Very clean, well-maintained, nice modern eclectic decor. Service was excellent. Air-conditioning worked beautifully through 34C weather. Free Mobility transportation ticket. Very good hot breakfast buffet with eggs & omelettes to order, cappuccino, smoked salmon. One minor glitch -- they put some of our party in their sister hotel The Hotel Autograph Collection. When we expressed displeasure at their having been switched, they provided us free breakfast vouchers next morning to facilitate us spending time together. When we found the bed a bit hard, housekeeping added a feather mattress topper. Had a Junior Suite for our 3 kids connecting to our Superior Room. Our room overlooked quiet side street. Kids suite overlooked interior courtyard & parking lot. Will definitely stay hee again if we can get a lower rate.

The beds are extremely comfortable!!! Also, there are many electric outlets in the room which is handy. Only downside is that the room is small for the price you pay.

Great service & concierge. General Manager made up for an error in booking our party in 2 different hotels run by the same company by providing our party with 4 free hot buffet breakfasts. Much appreciated!

The staff is incredible. Everyone was so helpful. I mean people in Switzerland are incredibly nice, but this hospitality was another level. I would imagine the staff here would be working at a high end place, but maybe that's what makes it Renaissance. Thank you. The staff at their breakfast place was also very nice. Thank you Ann-Marie!

I am very shocked to get this email after I have booked hotel couple of weeks ago: "Dear Mr. XXX, We make reference to you room booking on December 19th to 21st and would like to inform you that due to corrupt data on the website, the rate of CHF 65.- was on sale on December 20th instead of the correct one of CHF 295.-. We apologise for the inconvenience made and kindly ask you if you agree to re-confirm the correct rate of CHF 295.- otherwise the booking can be cancelled." That is ridiculous and never heard of this anywhere in the world. I can't believe it happened to Renaissance Lucerne.

Nice hotel. The location is great, 3-4 minutes walking from the Train Station. The hotel staff was very helpful. Overall, its a nice hotel. Would definitely stay here again.
