  What a wonderful restaurant!! We splashed out on this occasion and went for the 7 course menu. An amazing dining experience at an beautiful setting. Well done Balances team

  I am there at their restaurant. 43chf for a quick lunch. Definitely worth every cents.
  
  The fish is very fresh n tasty. The duck liver is yummy and the surprise dessert makes my day.

  Location is outstanding. The bedding is pretty good. Service is also pretty good. The decoration is interesting, somewhat unique. The view of the Jesuite church across the river is very beautiful. The only drawback we found was that the rooms don't have AC. We enjoyed our stay and would be glad to stay here again.

  Went there to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday 1May2017. The normal service was great. Staffs were nice. Food were excellent. Asked for a candle over her cake. Got a nice surprise. Will come back.

  Great hotel. above our expectations. absolutely awesome desk staff. I usually figure everything out before trips but the desk staff steered us to a couple of restaurants that weren't on my radar and ended up being terrific. Hotel is in great location, clean, our rooms were big, small but adequate balcony with amazing view and good value for Europe standards. Breakfast eggs with cheese awesome. be sure to ask different pricing for bkfast or you will pay for entire $32 feast even if you need less.

  An amazing hotel. The staff are extremely friendly without being overbearing. Our room was one with a river view and came with everything we needed and more. The location is superb, allowing us to go out and come back multiple times a day. I can absolutely recommend this hotel for short or long stays.

  Hotel des Balances is definitely a 4 start hotel. Although the rooms are small the décor, hospitality, location, and cleanliness make up the shortfall. Nightly rates can be pricey, but personally I think is worth the extra francs. The room I stayed in had amazing views of nearby mountains and famous bridges in Lucerne. I would highly recommend to any traveling friends or family.

  Very nice location. Food and service are good and very friendly. Price is high, but what do you expect ;) Sit right next to the river with picture perfect view of the bridge.

  Short version: I went for drinks before dinner and it was amazing. This place made me regret having a reservation somewhere else. Definitely must visit.
  
  We showed up and the friendly staff pointed us to where we could find some room for an aperitif. The service was fast, friendly and efficient. Staff always waving a smile. The place was busy but nobody seemed to be waiting much.
  
  The decoration is modern and the lighting in the evening was perfect. The bar faces the river.
  
  Cocktails were executed with perfection. Kudos to the bar staff.
  
  Will return if I set my foot again in the area.
