This is a great option if you're traveling to the Niagara area. Some of the best amenities I've seen period! The gym is amazing and restaurants and beautiful with creative foods and good wine selection. The only complaint is the breakfast buffet could have been better.
Booked a spa weekend with my girl friends and we were really excited to go to White Oaks as we read great reviews. The place is actually quite dated and beds are small. Our heater wasn't working so someone came to fix it and ended up replacing the whole unit - felt like it was due for maintenance and they expected to replace it. Once he replaced the heater a bunch of flies (8-10!) entered the room and they had to send a maintenance person to vacuum all of them! He said they were probably inside the old heater and came out when they removed it. All this took place past midnight. Clearly it was not a restful and relaxing weekend we were hoping for. The food at Liv was great, the spa was good, and the location across the outlet malls is perfect but I will most likely not return to stay at this hotel.
My two night stay at White Oakes was by far the best experience I've ever had at any hotel in Canada. Everything was impeccably clean, and staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and respectful. In the dining room, they would predict what I needed before I asked for it. The conference / board rooms were very well thought out, with a high level of attention to detail. And on top of all of that, the amenities were great!
We just held our 2018 Strategic Planning retreat at White Oaks and we were blown away by the faciltiies and the service. All of the staff was extremely friendly and so helpful. Our coffee cups were always full and the food was fantastic. We highly recommend planning your next company retreat there.
Stayed overnight for a girls night package and everything was excellent. The wine tour was a bit long, and would have been better if we had more cheese/crackers at each stop (instead of only one winery) because we were starving by the end of it. Dinner was excellent, our server was great. All of our meals were delicious. Each guest received a snack bag in our rooms with full sized chocolate bars and chips which was awesome! Breakfast buffet was good, nothing mind-blowing. Wish I made a breakfast reservation at Liv because the dishes looked great as we passed thru. Massage at the spa also was one of the better massages I've had. All in all, I'd do it again and recommend to others.
Warm greetings upon arrival to hotel; quick check-in; long walk to elevator (lobby elevator only goes to fifth floor, and you must walk quite far away to reach the sixth and seventh floors). Rooms were big and clean, pillows and beds were comfy. Bathroom needs updating, as do hallways and the room in general. Pretty quiet, though could hear other guest doorways opening and closing, and water running through pipes through the night. We were on the fifth floor for reference.
A great place to stay. They have done some renovating. Staff is so friendly. They can't do enough for you. We stayed in the tower and rooms are nice and spacious. Food is top notch. We went on a craft brewery tour which was so much fun!!!!
This is our 3rd time being to the Resort. Our 3rd wine tour as well. This resort and city never disappoints. The resort is top notch. Rooms are incredible, beds comfortable, and grounds are simply beautiful. The shopping across the street is great too. Highly recommend this place.
Really great place to stay. Rooms are large, clean, and comfortable. Great service for dinner at the restaurants. Lots of activities to do as well. Service was great once they realized we booked a room there and weren’t lingering in the lobby.
The location of the resort was conveniently close by to the outlet mall and numerous wineries. The room i stayed in was neat and clean. I visited on a special occasion, so it would have been nice if the front desk had asked about it and perhaps suggested a special service in accordance, but they didn't. Every time i was walking about the property and happened to pass an employee, they were always very friendly and greeted me. I saw a sizable gym/fitness area, squash courts, and some fitness studios while exploring. I also found numerous conference rooms and banquet halls. I also know they some spa services, but i haven't tried it. I had some trouble with the room service ("private dining" extension). I requested for something just before 11pm, but they never brought it or contacted me back. Despite some shortcomings, i would still recommend White Oaks for its location, comfortable rooms and variety of services.
I attended a wedding here this past weekend. The food was great. Music was great. We were very pleased with the room, and the amenities. Although we did not use many of them, we took a look around, and the resort had lots to offer. The staff were great. Very helpful, friendly, and welcoming. The main level elevator to the tower was out of order during our entire stay, so that was a long trek and a bit inconvenient. Also found the public washrooms to be out dated, but well kept and clean. Would definitely return for a couple's weekend, or even a girls trip. It's a nice get away. And the scenery is beautiful for photos.
I was literally blown away. I had a 9 day stay at the hotel. Though I consider myself somewhat of an international traveler, I can honestly say that 1) the ratings appearing, in my opinion, are in error. This hotel rates a 5+ star rating; 2) I have never been in a spotlessly clean room nor hotel. The floors - I might add on each floor, were immaculately clean, the personnel - from top to bottom - were beyond reproach.
Having eaten in the dining room, I can say that the wait staff and their manager were EXCELLENT. The lobby personnel, from the Concierge Andre, Lorna and (I believe) John as well others (valets, desk personnel, et al, were exceptional
Accolades in whatever form are more than well deserved. I cannot think of think of one incident which would have ruined my opinion of PERFECTION to the nth.
I should add, I have never encountered such overall friendliness, politeness, patience and willingness to assist, etc. in any other location.
It's a very nice hotel/resort. The indoor pool was good size. Staff was very friendly. The breakfast buffet was good. Would recommend
Joined the gym while in NOTL for 2 months. Main fitness choice is swimming due to physical limitations. Pool needs to be cleaned, floor is a bit slippery. Deep end stairs are fairly stained. Wish they made pool noodles or weights available to facilitate exercising. Pool towels are really small made for children not adults. Would have been nice to have a pool only option when joining since it is not cheap. Ladies change area is very tight. Change room is nice if you rent a locker. Make-up area with blow dryers is a nice addition. Steam room and dry sauna are also enjoyable. Based on the quality of the balance of the fitness center the pool is definitely an after thought. You can see the reaction when guests enter the pool area. Thanks for asking my opinion.
Driven past White Oaks numerous times, so this was my wife and mines 1st ever stay at White Oaks. My wife surprised me for Christmas with a life experience gift card and I found a great deal on their site. The deal included a nights stay in one of the standard rooms (very spacious) a wine tour and tasting at Ravine vineyards and $25 off vouchers for both breakfast and the spa at the resort. They blew us away with first impressions, they had concierge greet us at the front as we pulled in and directed us where to check in. Some other places do this but this one felt more friendly and like an actual resort, not some big chain hotel. Check in was quick, easy, very informative and we had no issues or delays. The room was great standard with a king bed, very clean we had a bottle of wine from the vineyard we were going to tour waiting in our room, washroom was clean, food size had a mini TV which was a nice added touch. We did find the washroom in comparison to the room a bit dated, especially the shower which was an insert unit and was a dull yellow. Beds were great, 3 pillows which was odd we could of asked for another but I was fine with the one and my wife took the two. Ravine vineyard was great, this was both of our 1st wine tour and we enjoyed it. The resort is big has lots of amenities including the spa, pool and squash courts so boring is kinda out of the question especially with the Niagara outlets across the street (good deals if you take the time to look) . 3 restaurants for the choosing LIV which is on the fancy side but great, Play which has a sports bar feel, pub food and Grow kitchen & cafe which is casual, farm fresh healthy type of food. We had breakfast at LIV and it was fantastic and the coffee was excellent, the spa was very relaxing, my wife and I went for massages and facials highly recommended everyone was very friendly and accommodating. We had a great stay at White Oaks Resort & Spa
