On October 13/17 my parents finally received the long awaited arrival of their R-Pod trailer . The trailer was promised to them weeks earlier but they were happy to have possession even if it was three weeks late and camping season was over. The trailer was mainly purchased for my parents start of their retirement together were they had planned to travel across Canada in August of 2018. On October 24/17 my father passed away of a massive heart attack in their home while watching T.V. My mother and the family were devastated. Neighbours informed my mother that he was planning on going camping if the weather held that weekend. This brought the reality the trailer would be useless to my mother and to even look at it brought horrible pain of what was lost. Though grief stricken I encouraged her to phone the trailer retailer as it had only been 11 days since they had bought it and with no life insurance the $30,000 they used from savings would be needed for her support. The sales person (Maureen) was kind and said that she would get back to us in a couple of days to see what she could do for us. We did receive a call letting us know that the trailer could be returned and if my mother was able to transfer ownership quickly all taxes might be able to be reimbursed also. The relief was incredible for my mom she felt as if she had finally taken a breath. We went the next day to speak with BCAA stood in line so we could tell them our story as time was of the essence. They were able to see her later that week. The trailer place was called to let them know everything should be in place for the return of the trailer. On Friday November 2/17 my mother finally received a call from a managing salesman (Jason) who informed her that they would not be able to take back the trailer and the most they could offer her for a never used trailer that they sold her for $30,000 would be $20,000. They had paid without tax $26,500. My mother asked if they could possibly give her $25,000, they were absolutely firm and told her she should know that you lose 20% the minute you drive off the lot. Devastated my mother could not talk any longer and accepted that this would just be the way it was. On November 9th/17 I called the General Manager (Bill Power) to try to advocate for my mothers situation. I was at the time told they had no legal obligation to take the trailer back and that they needed to make a profit in reselling the trailer. I asked if they had made a profit when the trailer was sold to my parents they said of course thus expecting to make a profit twice on the same trailer. He then explained that the first sales person had no right to tell us anything about returning the trailer and now denies saying anything to my mother although I was there for the three conversations that took place. I was told that the trailer had been a special order by the general manager, yet the reason my parents ordered from them was they were told it was already on order. This leads me to believe that the original sales person was not being honest with them and hence the delay in delivery of the trailer. My parents were loyal customers of this organization and had purchased three trailers over the course of 20 years through them. There loyalty unfortunately was not returned. I would warn anyone that is considering buying a trailer from them you can not believe anything that is promised to you they do not have any kind of moral compass and they will fall back on their legal rights instead of standing by their word.
My wife and I just recently bought a new travel trailer from Travelhome. Having just sold an aged motorhome, we were not new to RVing but were looking forward to transitioning into a trailer? Over a two month period we did some research on both sides of the border (Canada and US) and liked what we saw in Forest River products. We wanted a smaller dual axle trailer that would sleep a least five possibly six and could be pulled by a small SUV. We also wanted it to have a couch where we could sit comfortably something our motorhome did not have.
At Travelhome in Abbotsford we were greeted with a smile and introduced to Ryan in the sales department. We told Ryan what we were looking for, sat down to see what he had to offer and soon were in the yard looking at a 23.5 foot Rockwood that had everything we had asked for. Ryan was both knowledgeable and courteous and in negotiating a price included several extras that we would need to get the trailer on the road including a hitch and installation of a brake controller. We were given time to think about it and after a few days I contacted Ryan to confirm the sale.
We meet with Steve, in the financial department about a week later and completed the deal. Steve was very professional in explaining the warranty and completing the legal work of transferring the ownership etc. He also arranged for a licensing agent to be on hand.
When we picked up the trailer we were given a complete walk around both inside and outside and given instructions on using various equipment on the trailer. We were also given instruction and helped with setting up our brake controller.
Overall our we had a good experience with Travelhome and would would recommend them to anyone interested in buying a trailer. Thanks Travelhome for the great service.
Had a great time shopping for trailers. Awsome people, great crew, bill was are sales rep, great guy, we will return for sure found are trailer we wanted with them top notch,
I have to say I was very pleased at the service when I bought my trailer , but now that I have had to have it serviced well that's another thing we are going on almost 3 months with no trailer in fact it hasn't even been looked at it was lost on there lot for 4 weeks and I had to go find it , the still haven't told me if they are going to cover any of the work under warranty which I paid a bunch of extra money to have all I want is my trailer back and fixed for me and my family to enjoy.

We just bought our first travel trailer and it was a pretty awesome experience can't wait to pick it up
I have never complained about a company online before, so this is a first. We have had a horrible time dealing with the RV dealer TravelHome in Abbotsford, BC. To make a long story short, they have made appointments with us 3 times now for a few issues in our travel trailer to be fixed and each time we've taken it in on the appointment date, they've claimed there was no appointment made, even though THEY gave us the appt dates. We were to bring it in again on Tuesday so called today just to make sure they had us down -- and again, they say "no appointment was made". We have NO IDEA what their 'thing' is, but they don't seem to want to take any responsibility for RVs (even under warranty) once you purchase from them. Really really bad customer service in our experience and we have been left frustrated and annoyed.
I consigned my trailer here, would never recommend them. They were vague and poorly organized, took them 3 weeks to even get my trailer advertised on the website, and had the wrong floorplan up. They had the trailer advertised for $8,000 more then they said it sold for so they either lied to me about how much they sold it for or anyone buying a used trailer here should expect to negotiate 30%-40% less than the advertise price.
I highly recommend this RV dealership, they go above and beyond in their customer service. Friendly staff who always seem to have the right answer, no high pressure salesmen, easygoing and attentive.
I had a great experience at Travelhome Rv.
Our sales person Dalton was so easy to deal with and great at finding our perfect trailer.
Overall I am very pleased, I would recommend this friendly dealership to anyone.
I wouldn't even give them a half a star but I have to in order to write this review.
After the purchase they would rather treat you like a criminal then a customer.
There is absolutely NO customer service in the service department and the two people in the office would be better suited working at McDonald's where poor customer service is expected.
There are no words for how disgusting the treatment was when voicing warrenty concerns with a new purchase and instead of helping they suggested we were liars wanting to bill us to look into what we experianced as not working. Instead of taking responsibility the table was turned back on us and holes that were suggested were found only after many trips back to point them out and have them fixed.
Don't work in customer service if you don't want to deal with complaints or concerns on purchased products.
I can't say this was rhe wrist customer experience out there as the wasn't ANY customer service.
I'll never return and urge others to shop elsewhere.
UPDATE:
Spoke to someone and the situation has been rectified and hopefully things are more positive moving forward.
They are super nice until you sign for your purchase & they have your $. Deplorable service. Once they get your $ they treat you like scum. Rude, unrelieble, waste our time consistently. Biggest mistake we ever made was walking in the door. Regret our purchase and ever doing business here. Save yourself the nightmare and buy elsewhere. Serivce department is horrible and management doesn't care. Once they have your money they couldn'y care less about your experience with them. I don't understand how they are able to stay in business. Ensured us the broken couch would be repaired when we initially picked up our new trailerit has been nearly a year! Very sleazy and dishonest. Told us to come in for warranty repairs and when we got there they said they didn't actually have the parts. Since they dragged us all the way there we asked them to look at the oven that didn't work on our last camping trip. So the warranty repairs we came for were not done AND then we were charged $60 because they couldn't find anything wrong with the oven! We have come in several times now to find no parts were ordered or wrong parts ordered. No appolgies. No compensation for wasted gas or time. Management do not return calls. Tried to give travel home many opportunites to make thus right but they will not follow up with us. I have never experienced horrible service like this. The sickest part is they went out of their way to write and post a list of ethics and values the company embodies that they hang in their sales centre. All lies.
DO NOT buy from these guys!
Excellent experience with sales staff while purchasing 50k unit. After care by sales managerterrible.
They installed my unit incorrectly onsite and are now leaving me with a thousand dollar bill to repair buckled back stabilizer braces less than 30 days after install.
I did not purchase the extended warranty which apparently allows this company to wiggle out of their install error.
Unreal.
On top of the buckled braces, there was a significant water leak in the bathroom and an electrical issue causing multiple outlets to function incorrectly.
Sales manager acted like he was doing me a favour by sending a tech out to repair things that should have been operational in the first place.
Go elsewhere or make sure to purchase the extended warranty as they do not stand by their units.
Buyer Beware!!!
Show room staff was unbelievably nice and went out of there way, kid friendly, pet friendly was unreal how friendly and helpful the staff is, made my wife and I feel like we were on cloud nine. BUT!!!!! The service side was extremely unorganized and unprofessional with the repairs that were made in the amount of time they had the unit, delay after delay 6 weeks later and still not finished. I now have the travel trailer at home and I'm fixing repairs that should have been addressed during a P.D.I. Whom ever the service manager is should be let go.
Bought our rpod here. Everyone was super helpful
