I'm picky as hell and I loved this place. Some people are saying it's dated .. yadda yadda for 100 bucks it is just fine. Older stuff but very very clean, which says a lot. The location is greatbeautiful morning by the river. 10 min drive to Hard Rock Casino for a concertor skytrain plus bus available. Sky train station literally right next door, as well as convenience store and Subway samdwiches. The bar downstairs can be heard when people are outside, as well as the train, but not overbearing and ear plugs came in handy. 100 bucks though makes it worth it. Other accommodation in the general area is more run down or very expensive.
Go to the Heritage Grill a few steps down the road for steak and eggs fairly cheap. VERY friendly staff. I thought it was charming and somewhat unique.response / report this review -

Older hotel, rooms are okay, but need updating, carpet was stained and paint was peeling off wall in bathroom. Marks on walls not cleaned off. Staff at check-in refused credit card for incidental deposit because it was going to expire in over a month, had to complain. Very noisy with Skytrain next to hotel. Would not recommend.

I love The Met! If ever I need to be in New West overnight, I want to stay here again.
Our room was on the third floor, with a view of the Fraser River, the Patullo bridge, and the Skytrain bridge.
The hotel location is central to restaurants, bars, and shops.
Staff are genuinely friendly, warm, and helpful.
The room was huge, with gorgeous tall windows that had window seats. The beds were comfy and the air conditioning worked well.
There is a bar downstairs, but I wouldn't have known it, such was the quiet from my room, even on a Friday night.
A few beautiful homeless people hang around the streets, but talk to them and help with some food if you can. They're just people.response / report this review -

This hotel is located right off of the Columbia SkyTrain Station. It has easy access to Transportation. It's also walking distance to The Quay for local shopping and restaurants. It is an older hotel and more of a budget hotel.

It's a really nice place with a low price. The cleanliness can be demonstrated even through the spaces in between tiles in the washroom. The common area has a cozy and homey feels to it. The room and the hotel itself far exceeded my expectation, would definitely come back and recommend people to stay here when visiting the area.

It's not bad for the area it's in but the clients that frequent the bar are shady or wasted. Staff are excellent great service food was ok but not my kinda place

Decent hotel but the rooms weren't cleaned well. Dirty under the bed still. Otherwise good service and nice rooms.

All is great. Room is clean and spacious. Only draw back is; the rooms are above the pub and on a main street, it gets loud. But will still come back. Price is right.
