This is an amazing place. The Inn, the spa and the food were all impeccable. Norman made our stay for my mom's 75th birthday spectacular and extremely memorable for all of us. Lisa at the spa, went over and above to ensure that we were all taken care of. I would recommend the Glenerin Inn and Spa to anyone. It is a beautiful little piece of heaven. Thank you very much for an incredible experience. We will definitely be back.
Glenerin Inn is a nice little resort in Mississauga. It's a little far out from downtown Toronto but it is a nice little gem. The rooms are quaint with lots of light. The venue itself has really good food (the chicken supreme was surprisingly delicious and moist, salad was presented in a unique way but it was great as well). I was expecting a little more green space like a garden so for photo opportunities on the property are very limited.
Awesome place for a wedding reception or event. The staff are friendly and helpful. The ambiance is quaint and historic yet so close to the Mississauga core which is great to have. The food was excellent and the bar staff very accomodating
Came for an anniversary dinner. It was a beautiful setting for BBQ Thursday out on the patio. The service was excellent. The food was amazing. The music by Taylor Made Music was beautiful. Just simply a wonderful night!
We had our wedding here in June 2017 and it was absolutely perfect except for a few mishaps:
1) Mauritzio (the manager) changed our honeymoon suite reservation made a month before the wedding. The concierge said it was done a couple of days before the wedding. There was no apology. We were stuck in a tiny room, which was not good for the bridal party before the ceremony or for the wedding night.
2) there were tons of caterpillars all over the deck and chairs during our ceremony (not during initial visits or rehearsal). The caterpillars kept falling on us and the party as we were saying our vows. The trees need to be sprayed with something? The outdoor deck should also be cleaned before the event, including the chairs (no mud stains or caterpillars please).
3) the wedding cake was mishandled and one of the letters of our last name fell off o to the bottom tier. They also insisted we cut the cake at the beginning of the reception so they could cut it as dessert while the other food was being served. It felt rushed and then the cake sat there until we reminded them at the end of the last course.
4) some of our guests were enjoying being outside and some were leaving early. Upon saying bye to some outside, we returned to find that all the lights were on and the staff was cleaning up the tables. Nobody asked us first. It was only 11:30pm. Our groom and I still wanted to slow dance and our guests were still outside. We had to tell them we were shutting down early.
5) The grounds are not "perfectly manicured". The grass is not cut, the grass has lots of yellow or bald patches, so it was hard to find nice backdrop for pictures unless it was a structure. Some of the small garden beds had a couple of flowers, but there were no lush gardens.
6) not a single person contacted us at any time after the event to find out how we felt about it or if there is anything they could prove on. It's been over 2 months, so they likely won't.
Note that while some decor is included, the walls are bare and the venue doesn't have the options. We used external decorator as they had none on their list of preferred vendors. We didn't mind though. Decorating the reception room cost about $2500 and looked perfect.
Other than those issues, the food was excellent, the arrangements were handled really well, the persons with limited mobility and/or dietary restrictions were accommodated, and we are very happily married.
We held our wedding reception for 90 at the Glenerin Inn in June 2017. We were very impressed with the venue appearance, service, and food.
Our contact was Faye Kotyak. She was very friendly, accommodating, knowledgeable, and helpful. We deferred to experience quite a few times, and were never disappointed. We went back and forth with her dozens of times by e-mail during the planning process and she was always quick to reply.
One of the biggest reasons we picked this venue was because of the grounds. It is an old, historic estate with stone building set against the lovely greenery in the Credit Valley. We had exclusive use of the grounds for photos indoors and outside, and didn’t need special permits.
Our dinner, dancing, and speeches took place in the ‘Credit Valley Room,’ which is an intimate venue with room for only 90 people. We went with 9 round tables of ten. It felt cozy, but never crowded.
We were very impressed by the service and food. The serving staff were very efficient and seamless. They worked very hard to serve and clean-up our four-course dinner and keep our drinks full, but we hardly noticed them. The food itself was great, especially the cheesecake. Steak knives would have been helpful for the sirloin entree.
On a slightly different note, if you do stay overnight at the Inn, you should definitely enjoy the brunch the morning after!
I was there for a wedding. The venue was beautiful. The hall we were in for the reception had a nice mix between the rustic farmhouse vibe and a modern white decor. There was some outside patio area which was quite pleasant at night. Service was fantastic. Food was okay but when is wedding food ever stellar.
Only been here for business meetings but the service is great. Food is good. No experience in staying there though.
Cute cottagey classic feel, exposed stone and wood architechture. Easy access to the 401, tons of free parking, affordable nightly rates. Highly recommended.
Food was great. People were nice, except one guy didn't seem to be happy with his job at all. But otherwise, it was great
Beautiful venue and devoted staff. Didn't touch down on the spa but spacious rooms for weddings and events with extremely comfortable rooms.
Staff went out of their way to accommodate me for a same day check in when I arrived from out of town a day early. Thank you kindly. Amazing ambience too, cannot wait to return.
