One of the better and cheaper places I've found in Toronto. Close to major areas. Quite neighborhood as well.

We stayed there this past November 11th.
No hot water in the shower.
Mouse ran across the floor
Mice in the walls.
A dog barked all night in the room below us.
We used the stairway and there was either cat or dog pooh and urine on the ground level stairwell.
For the price of 175.00 , I suggest go elsewhere.
Manager did not seem to care, when we brought up the above problems.response / report this review -

Very good value for the price. Clean and quiet though occasional noise from hallway/elevator. Very convenient location; a short walk to Kensington Market and Chinatown. Streetcar one block away. Neighborhood a little sketchy at night, though.

I've only stayed in Toronto a few times and I've stayed at Studio 6 everytime. Staff is always great, rooms are always clean and smell super nice. Also a great location, really close to downtown so if your going bar hopping or just a night out on the town. Will definitely be staying there next time I go.

Rooms were clean and had necessities such as a kitchenette, fridge, and utensils. The front desk service were very helpful and kind. The only complaint are the keycards that wouldn't work/stopped working and had to get them fixed 3 times throughout the stay.

Room is nice and close to downtown. Price is affordable and the included kitchenette is convenient, especially since there is a grocery store down the street. Saves money on food! Air conditioning is very noisy, so is the fridge. Appliances definitely saw many winters. The pillows are very small, half the standard size and provide no support at all. There weren't many of them either. The sheets were soft, but very light. I prefer to sleep with more weight. There were no additional sheets to be found as it t's the case in other establishments. Overall, it's positive especially considering the price. But I didn't really sleep well, so I'm going for 3 stars instead of 4.

Studio 6 in Toronto (Downtown location on Grange) was a pleasant experience. The hotel itself had a very personable staff. Our room was well furnished considering the price we paid, comfortable & had a good amount of amenities (small kitchenette & storage) which would have been quite useful had we stayed longer.
For those who worry about noisy stays, I didn't hear any other patrons the entire stay - no 3 a.m. door slams or loud parties.

When I saw the price for a night I was blown away, I thought this was going to be a complete mess of a hotel with no organization. However, I was pleasantly surprised. The staff were the most friendly I've ever seen any hotel staff in my life. They ensured my check in and check out went as smooth as possible. The rooms were way nicer than I would have expected. There is no double Queen option, so keep that in mind. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very cozy and nice as well. The kitchenette is a welcome addition and comes with enough plates, cutlery and glassware to get you through your stay. The bathroom was about as standard as any hotel bathroom, the shower pressure was a bit on the low side but nothing too different from any other hotel shower I've used. The windows in the room however do not have screens, and although this was not an issue for me, those with young children may find this a bit problematic.

What I like about the Studio 6 in Toronto is the location (Kensington Market / Chinatown / near everything) and the price. It is also nice to have a quasi-kitchen, but I seldom use this, so it doesn't matter much to me. What I didn't like about my recent stay: (1) the mattress was old and uncomfortable, (2) the closet sliding door was broken, (3) the bathroom mirror was cracked -- all things that seem seedy, but perfectly acceptable for the price.

Location left a bit to be desired, didn't feel like the safest of places, but it was cheap. Rooma were a decent size, and came with a full kitchen, though things were a bit out dated. Customer service from the lobby guy was superb however, very friendly, gave suggestions on some good places to eat and sorted out all the questions we had. Koodos to him!

Pros: Friendly staff, nice kitchenette, full sized fridge and freezer, ample space, clean bathroom, favourable price, everything functioned properly, cutlery and cooking pots were available.
Cons: Remnants of obvious water damage on ceiling, a sort of stale cigarette odour in the room, one of the garbage was not taken out on arrival (old food in it), the pillows were garbage (clearly have been washed and dried leading to a clumpy feeling), and the bed was below average comfort (some preference of plushness of the bed is factored in here - some may like it more than others).
Overall, I was hoping my stay would be good because I liked the idea of a kitchenette if I was staying for longer term to be able to cook. However, being that I like to have a good sleep, the subpar bed and the odor in the room is a complete deterrent.response / report this review
