The check in was quick and easy, my room was very clean and spacious, it even had a deck! I very much enjoyed my stay and will likely come back.

Older hotel. Needs updating and preventive maintenance. Very friendly staff, rooms are very clean, food is good. Good location, close to activities near the inner harbor

Great service. Greeted very professionally and introduced to all services and amenities hotel provides. My family and I were upgraded from bachelor to one bedroom corner, top floor suite. Kitchen has everything any family would need. My kids (3-years old twins) loved roomy living room. The only downside I have, hence 4 stars, is the fact that the hotel is outdated. It needs upgrade in my opinion. Yes, it is very well maintained, but needs uplift of kitchen and bathroom, at least.

Very clean hotel, centrally located and very convenient. The staff is really helpful and accommodating. Checking in was a breeze and we were allowed to get in immediately upon our arrival. We got upgraded from bachelor to one bedroom apartment and it worked really well for us. The apartment was very spacious and had all you need for a few day stay. Kitchen is well equipped with dishes and cutlery. TVs in living and in the bedroom, WiFi is available but is not secured, and can be intermittent in signal strength Hotel would benefit from updating as although everything was very clean we did encounter one silverfish in the dining room light fixture. We also had an issue with clogged bathtub, but the staff was really helpful and immediately responded at our request. I loved the extra touches like apples at the reception, and a small candy dish and cream cookies that were left every day in the apartment, in addition to selection of teas and coffees. We enjoyed our stay, but would love to see this hotel gem be upgraded. Immaculate cleanliness and responsive staff as well as the extra touches will leave you with good impression and will make your stay pleasurable.

A nice, clean, quiet Hotel with very helpful and friendly staff. Great location - only steps to pubs, restaurants, the Harbor and much more. Super pool and Hot tub room, albeit pretty dull looking - needs some life. Ample parking. The 2 bedroom suites are clean with decent size kitchen, but bedroom layouts are very odd with only 1 bathroom in one of the bedrooms offering very awkward bathroom trips at night or morning showers - picture walking by your sleeping friends to use the bathroom.offers little to no privacy for anyone involved.

Very attractive and moderately-priced hotel, only a block from the Coho ferry dock. It is easy walking distance to all attractions in the Inner Harbour area. The room was clean and well-furnished, food and service in the dining room were excellent. The front desk staff are very friendly and accommodating. There are only two "downsides": parking your car at the hotel costs an additional $15 a night, and the sales clerk in the gift shop displays a level of grumpiness which contrasts the friendliness of the folks at the front desk. All in all, a good place to stay.

Great for families, especially with the rooms with kitchens. The courtesy shuttle was also extremely useful for both families and any other guest type alike.

The rooms themselves were rather large (for the two we stayed in at least) but extremely dated (particularly the washrooms and kitchen), but effective and clean.

It's by no means a five star hotel, but it has many amenities and is well kept with a polite and helpful staff!

Stayed here for 2 nights (Apr 14-16) for the first time. I've stayed in about a dozen other hotels in the Victoria area as we have family here we visit. The Royal Scot was better than I'd anticipated. Kindof an old-world charm that is fairly confident in itself. The room was comfortable and quiet (only exception being rather noisy maids in the hallway, but that was after 9:30am). The pool and hottub was great (we were the only ones using it), and they have a billiards room and a quaint reading/puzzle room. Location was convenient (easy walking to almost anywhere) and the rate was quite acceptable (booked thru Hotwire) and I'd be happy to stay there again.

Good for families and elderly, but not for us. The location is great and the rooms are large, but everything else about this place is old and outdated. We could hear our neighbors next door and people above us stomping around. The only reason we stayed here is because it was the only option available due to our last minute change of plans, i know Victoria has many other hotels that will better suit my needs next time.
