The Beaconsfield Inn is a beautiful historic building constructed in 1908, something I appreciate. Our room was spacious and tastefully decorated and our bathroom was large and also very satisfactory. It is conveniently located and about a 10-minute walk to downtown Victoria. The breakfast was good however I wish they'd offered a selection rather than just the one choice. The lady who served us, I wish I could remember her name, was very gracious and kind and tried her best to please us. I would recommend the Beaconsfield to a friend and I would return there. I should mention that there is sufficient parking for anyone has booked a room there.

Excellent B&B! Great rooms, great bed after a long day of touristing. Super breakfast.
Has super wifi for sharing (& backing up our pics). Nice corner room on quiet street. A nice walk to the harbour and whale watching tours. Close by food & a market.response / report this review -

A true Hidden Gem of Victoria - a gorgeous place to stay!
While my girlfriend's parents were visiting recently from the US, they decided to stay here during a weekend stay. What a great choice!
Location-wise, the Beaconsfield is situated on a quiet corner in the Fairfield neighborhood, with both Cook Street Village and Beacon Hill Park both within walking distance. The building itself is a charming Victorian-era building, full of wood and tons of old-world charm. There's even a hottub tucked away outside in the small but well cared-for gardens, which also include a small water feature on the corner to relax by..
We met my lady's parents for breakfast, which was held in a bright sunroom at the front of the building big enough to hold more than a few tables, including our own. Spotlessly white and full of memorabilia, it felt as though we had traveled back in time for our meal, a feeling enhanced by the delightful waitress who served us quite attentively. The meal itself was perfectly portioned, though rather on the sweet side, but to I was able to sample most everything without feeling too full on top of a glass of fresh squeezed orange juice. Everything was delicious and served in high tea style, with lots of silverware and cleaning dishes on a white linen tablecloth.
After breakfast, we had the opportunity to tour a bit of the inn and take some pictures of the fabulous details. My favorite place was the library, whose dark wooden shelves were bursting with books and whose elegant coaches begged to be piled high with reading materials on a cozy winter's evening.
My lady's parents related that they had an excellent sleep in their large room, which accommodated both them and my girlfriend's grandfather with room to spare. The high ceilings and charming Victorian touches meant it was a delightful experience to simply sleep there are of the night. They had nothing but good things to say about their experience from start to finish and wouldn't hesitate stay here again the next time they travel to Victoria.response / report this review -

This is a really beautiful bed and breakfast in an historic house. It is centrally located so whether or not you have a car you will be able to take full advantage of Victoria's downtown.

A beautiful, quaint and quiet getaway in Victoria, a wonderful city. Rooms are comfortable, the atmosphere of the old fashioned house is nice, and the breakfasts are really something else. Seems the new owners are still getting into the swing of things but this place is really a gem. I hope it stays here forever!
