Took delivery of a Corolla from Tommy today and I can’t recommend him enough! Knowledgable, honest, and very patient with my abundance of questions. Everything went as expected thanks to his awesome communication, he definitely made my buying experience enjoyable and stress-free. If you’re heading here find Tommy!
This happened a while ago, so I'm not sure if it's still indicative of the kind of thing customers now can expect, or if my experience was a one off. I brought my girlfriend's mom's Rav4 to have it's differential looked at because it was leaking. The inspection was fine. The service advisor explained that the seal was leaking and would have to be replaced, and quoted me around $30 for the seal, and around $260 for the labour. I had to wait a week for the part to be delivered. When it was time for the installation, I double checked with the service advisor (it was a different one this time) about the price, and he said it was $1800 ($260 for the labour, $1600 for the part). I said that's way more than I was originally quoted, and he explained it was because you can't just replace the seal, you also have to replace a huge chunk of the differential. I asked to see the original work order I signed a week before, and clearly written on it was the seal and the original price. Written next to that, was the price for the part they were supposedly installing. I asked why, if you can't just replace the seal, was I quoted for just the seal. He went to ask the mechanic and came back confirming it was just the seal being replaced. The final invoice was for exactly the amount I was originally quoted.
I don't understand exactly what went wrong here. I find it hard to believe it was a simple mistake, because I signed the work order when I got the vehicle inspected and when I came back to have the work completed, there was an extra part added. Someone would have had to add that after I signed. (Invoices are hand written, by the way, not computerized) I feel like an attempt was made to trick me, regardless of the true nature of the problem. In an industry where trust is paramount, that shouldn't be allowed to happen.
They are the most amazing friendly staff ever. Customer service skills is top notch. Jessi in the service e department met all my needs and made me feel very comfortable with my whole experience. I love this place! Cleaned my car in and out too and now the little one will destroy it again. But I can enjoy from the dealership to home.
Today I drove home a Toyota Rav 4 ! I arrived at Open Road a little nervous about what to expect when buying a car. However, then I met Dar. He provided me with all kinds of details about each car I looked at, went out for a test drive and then came back in and did a price comparison for me. He was very patient at explaining all the features and details until we had narrowed it down to a 2015 Rav 4 . Dar went on to answer my questions and help me with all of the paperwork. He was kind, thoughtful and very clear in all of his explanations about the car! Buying my car was an excellent experience because of him! When I arrived at the dealership today to do the final signing there was a lovely large red bow sitting on my shiny car. A thoughtful and fun gesture! Thank you Dar! I highly recommend buying a car from Dar!
I have been going here for quite sometime now as my sister who was the previous owner of my car would go here. decided to keep going as she never said anything bad about their service. I just recently took my car in to get maintenance. I dealt with Victor and he was pleasant and quoted me $156 with full oil change, sparks, air filters and all that stuff. I signed and left. I got a call around noon indicating that my car was going to be ready soon and that I can come and get it. Victor said it looked all good and mentioned nothing about the price ( when I get it serviced they Usually ALWAYS call if they need to charge more or if I needed to add or change something. I get there and another rep goes over my bill and what they did. The bill comes and it says 393.00!!! The rep was taken a back as was I that I was notified of the price change and no where was it written.Like I have said I have been a long term customer and I always receive a call regarding any change with my bill. Long story short I paid the bill and called to explain my situation the next Monday and got Victor. He didn't apologize or even explain ANYTHING so I asked for a manager to call me. Still haven't gotten a call from ANYONE. Definitely will not be coming back here. Very unfortunate situation that was dealt poorly
Outstanding experience at Port Moody Lexus. Product specialist, Cory Napora, was very informative, friendly and patient. He answered all of my questions and allowed me all the time I needed to make sure that I made the right choice for me. I am thrilled with my new Lexus!
Christy Wan, was so very patient in explaining all of the technology in the car. She was extremely thorough and pleasant.
Amanda Kan, was so very pleasant and thorough when going through all of the package information.
All in all a 10/10 experience all around. I would highly recommend this dealership.
I just want everyone to know how great not only this facility is, but the people who work there are also the most pleasurable to work with. I love coming here because they care about my vehicle, pay extra attention to my needs, and always give great advice. Thanks Open Road!
Today I bought a pre-owned vehicle from the product advisor Tommy at Open Road Toyota Port Moody and I have to say the service was exceptional! I initially came in to test drive a different used vehicle I had seen online, but then spotted a recently traded in 2012 Toyota Matrix waiting to be detailed. I ended up purchasing the Matrix after 3 visits to the dealership and after asking Tommy a whole lot of questions! Throughout the experience Tommy was patient, knowledgeable, attentive and kind, and made the often stressful venture of purchasing a vehicle extremely painless. Tommy went above and beyond to make sure he was always reachable had I any questions, and he personally made sure the vehicle was in tip top shape for me. The dealership itself was clean and inviting, and has a superb coffee machine. I'd recommend Tommy and Open Road to anyone looking to purchase a new or used vehicle in the near future - 5/5!
I bought Used Rav4 from this dealer. My review based on used cars, I can't tell anything about New Cars experience.
Small story before I start to talk about OpenRoad Toyota Port Moody. I went to approximately 20 official dealers in Richmond/Vancouver/Burnaby/New West/Langley and I was looking for used cars (preferable SUV) . Some were good, some not that much. As you know you have to be very careful with buying any car, especially if you looking for used one. I was prepared more or less (just watched few youtube videos and bought flashlight, mirror and paint meter). Good thing of any official dealer they provide CarProof for you on there websites. I was looking for car with no or very minor damage. Every my personal unprofessional 'inspection' I started with simple question to sales person: 'Do you know if this car had any damage/body work/repair done before (reported or unreported)?'. Answers were always the same and based on CarProof. Nobody ever told me about unreported body damage. However, about 70% of the cars I checked had unreported body damage and have been repaired. Dealers didn't even know about it or simply didn't want to say they lied to me. 80% of sales people were trying to tell me about how good is there cars and how I can use grocery hook in a trunk (this is a joke (actually one said it) but you got the point) until I start using a paint meter, flashlight and mirror (it was actually interesting how people react on this). 50% start to ask me what is it, maybe they actually doesn't know or simply pretending. After I found unreported repair they didn't want to see it or ask me 'Are you sure this device working?' I just wanted to tell you my personal experience about official dealers in Great Vancouver area, before I start talking about OpenRoad Toyota Port Moody. In this case you may see some very basic comparison.
There was few actual professional sales people and dealerships, with good used car options (so yes they do exist ;)). At that moment OpenRoad Toyota Port Moody had best option for me. I like the car, and I also like my sales guy (Kenneth). First of all he knew what I was about to do in order to inspect the car, and second he was confident about the car. He told me exact steps what I'm about to do and how I'm going to do it. It simply tells me he knows not only how to sell the cars but also how to inspect them (probably not as professional, but as a specialist) and also he knows his inventory. Another important moment here, I not familiar with Port Moody area and he let me do a test drive for about 35 minutes in different modes uphill/downhill/hwy/city. He was also keeps communicating with me through email (morning or night) before and after purchase of the vehicle. I do appreciate what he done for me and his help.
About the car itself. The car is not new so I had to expect some scratches or probably missing something. In may case the car was missing driver floor mat and had few scratches. Kenneth tried to help me (he said 'no promises') to find driver mat before the purchase, unfortunately he couldn't. Well he did warn me.
Only one recommendation for OpenRoad Toyota Port Moody, guys please check all fluids in your cars before you sell it. In my case coolant is about 1cm less minimum level. And also you probably can provide more information about warranty options (if available) before customers pay for there used cars.
Overall my personal experiences was very good. Good luck to everyone to find there cars, and be careful on the road. And sorry guys for my grammar.
My first experience was with Mr Baar that greeted me promptly as soon as I got through the door. I had a flat tire and he was able to squeeze me in the schedule that morning. He noticed that some recalls were still pending in the car and got those taken care of at the same time. I also had another issue with the vehicle (unrelated to this) that I was able to discuss with him and he took the time to look at the details in the system. An appointment was scheduled to look at the issue. On the day of, they provided me with a loaner car and the work was done on my vehicle the same day. All and all, only have positive feedback for that place, both from the customer service perspective and the work done on my vehicle.
service department staffs are great! Espescially guy name Danny Leung. he always looking at the best way to spend in servicing my 2 cars, Camry and Corolla. thanks.
For Vehicle Service/Maintenance:
Really really good Toyota Dealership. The service department is fantastic and I've never been over-charged. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and twice now have gone the extra mile to make sure I was happy after my service. Even if I didn't own a Toyota I'd go here for my service.
We purchased 2 vehicles from this dealership in the last 10 months. As expected, we are quite happy with their vehicle however same can't be said about their sales department. Just last month, I contacted the same salesperson whom we bought two vehicles from and requested information on the wait times for one of their popular vehicles. I was never given a clear explanation about the information requested nor has there been a follow up of any kind since (trying to buy 3 vehicles in a year from a same dealership and no followup even after dropping by??). Not the best example of a car dealership I've experienced in metro vancouver.
