BED BUGS! Stay away!
We were booked into this room for one night last week, and while we weren't expecting much it was easily the worst hotel experience of my life. It was just supposed to be a cheap place to sleep overnight as we had a meeting nearby early in the morning. I don't even care that the rooms were small and a bit dirty, that was what I was expecting given the price.
My issue was with the first room we were given which had a lot of obvious bed bug fecal stains on the mattress after we pulled up the fitted sheets. We told management and they didn't seem surprised or like they really cared. They moved us to another room that seemed to be bed bug free, but we both slept terribly that night.
DON'T GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT BED BUGS. It's disgusting and needs to be properly dealt with. There are other options if you want a cheap downtown hotel. Seriously, just awful.response / report this review -

It is worth the price, convenient due to its proximity to Sherbourne train station and to places to eat and buy thing you might need during your trip. Though it needs some maintenance, other than that I recommend it.

My first experience in Toronto, about 20min walk from the main shops and restaurants, not a complete let down as you get to of the city and it's different souvenir shops and it's culture, so easy to work way around the area not far from McDonald's which is also a plus. Also about 200 metres from the underground train which as we wasn't aware until late on in the trip is very cheap and goes to anywhere from the main downtown area to the airport which we took when leaving for around 5$ each (that's with a free shuttle bus from the train stop to the airport front door) where as a taxi when we first arrived cost us 50$ and was rush hour but the plus side of that, we got to see many different areas of Toronto we wouldn't have seen on the train. They have a basement bar in the hotel which is really snug and have many screens for different sports and the atmosphere is relaxed with some locals using it too.

The outdoor patio was nice and surprisingly set back from the traffic. Lots of wasps though. We really enjoyed the food. Their chicken tenders have a really nice light breading.

Great place that is close to the train station. Right across the street from a shoppers drug mart. Has a pub in the basement for all your nightly drinking needs. Basic rooms to fulfill ypur basic needs.

Its a basic hotel. I stayed here with my boyfriend last year too for fan expo canada. The location and price combination can't be beat. Its not the Ritz, its not even the Travel Lodge but its clean, the bed is comfortable, it has continental breakfast and a mini fridge in the room. The AC keeps the room comfortable and the staff are friendly. If you are just looking for a place to sleep and store your things this is a perfect hotel.

Nice lobby, breakfast served, nice terrasse open at night! Only thing: the room was comfortable but my TV had only one channel (the remote didn't work) and the washroom was dirty so I was scared to be barefoot. Not enough light in the room either

Location was cool. Not close to anything but not far from the good areas of downtown either. Hotel looks raggedy from the outside but is actually quite beautiful inside. Elevator is very small. It was almost summer yet the heat was on quite high in the room the whole time and wouldn't turn off. I adjusted the thermostat and cranked the window a/c yet there was little relief from the heat. Probably better to visit here even its cold outside. Overall a nice hotel though. Breakfast is included

The rooms were small but its an old building and they usually have small rooms. Single pane glass means you can hear everything on the street but again it was pretty decent. Breakfast was toast, muffins, cereal, orange juice and coffee. We enjoyed our room however we also understood for the price we weren't going to get something super fancy

The rooms are small and clean. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. It's located not to far from the heart of downtown in a nice neighborhood and there are lots of things in walking distance. My one complaint is the restaurant here is never open. The price was right.

Tough one it's a budget hotel. However this is probably a reflection of my standards. I do expect room to be cleaned every day. Doors should not have to be lifted off hinges to close and in a room I would at least expect an opening window to cool room if thermostat does not work. 5/5 for price but a more private YMCA for me.

I recently stayed at this hotel. Location is very convenient. The front staff was extremely helpful. The room was clean. Continental breakfast looked good,but I only had coffee as I don't normally eat breakfast. All in all I had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. If I ever need to travel to Toronto again I will stay at this hotel.
