Nice staff, great pub, everything works and the location is perfect for a business trip. Rooms could be renovated though. Also excellent breakfast choices included.

I was here for a one night stay while I was attending a concert in Toronto. I stayed in a six bed room and it was cozy. Each bed has an electronic safe for all your belongings. Breakfast was included with my room and it was delicious. The restaurant/bar is located in the basement and is very cool and rustic. There is a patio on the fifth floor and free WiFi throughout. This place was full of travelers with very interesting stories and personalities. Other than my safe being locked when I got there this is a great place to stay for travel and has a very hipster feel.

It needs updating! I had to fix the toilet, it wouldn't stop running every time we flushed. No top sheet only a comforter, kinda gross since they are used by everyone and not washed. You have to ask for a towel. Kitchen was kinda gross not much to use for it being so sustainable based. Parking is $10 a night as well if you drive in!

They have elevator!!! Very important !!!
Most Staff are very friendly and helpful, kitchen is clean and have everything, Join their activities! Met lots of fun guys there!
Location is Closed to everything , very convenience.
Dining area and bathroom are small .
I extend one more night and unfortunately that night was fully booked so I couldn't stay in the same room , moved to 2nd floor 8 share dorm And our washroom is repairing so don't have public bathroom on this level, we have to take shower, brush, toilets on other level, which is a bit inconvenient and also I found 🕷closed to my bed. Maybe you should think about stop sell this room for few days and make it quickly.
Overall, it still worth to 5 stars . Will come back if I visiting Toronto next time.

The location of this hostel is great. You are right in the middle of downtown. Staff was efficient and knowledge. The rooms are clean and air-conditioning. You get beanbag with the room and is a full breakfast not just toast or cereal. I would definitely stay here again.

Dirty and small rooms. We were supposed to be 6 in our room, but they put 2 extra beds so we were 8 in a very small room and they didn't care about it. Food is not good. Employee are incompetent but very kind. They organize some cool activities. The bar is nice. Choose another hostel if you can. It's expensive for what you have.

Very cool and chic place in terms of the lounge/kitchen restaurant bar area - it was done up very well. Its also in a really good location down town and easy to get to from the airport. I stayed in 6 bed female dorm which had its own bathroom. The rooms were average (better than the HI Victoria) but beds were comfy. It could do with bigger lockers to store large bags within the rooms. The bathrooms could be cleaner as water leaked out of you took a shower but I guess it could be worse. There is also a patio chill out area. Staff were friendly and helpful - only concern is towels are not checked properly being handed out as I received a towel that had stains on it.

I tried to get an apartment there using the online form but I must've messed up and not hit submit or something, so I got there and didn't have a reservation. Unfortunately there weren't any available rooms, so I wasn't able to stay. I give 4 stars cause the staff was nice and the place seemed decent from what I saw when I visited some friends inside. I was at the bar for a bit, since I joined their pub crawl that they do (on Thursdays @ 8pm). The crawl itself was cool because I got to meet some nice fellow travelers and had a good time seeing some of the Toronto nightlife. The hostel worker that joined us (Ashley) was also kind and helped get the conversation started when we all arrived and she seemed to keep people everybody involved. Thanks for a good pub crawl! If I return I'll try to get the room confirmed first. :)

You get what you pay for. Not recommended for people over 6' unless you get a private room without a bunk bed. Bathrooms could be cleaner. Good service, great location, friendly staff, great way to meet other travellers.

Pretty good standard as you normally get from HI. Clean rooms, friendly staff and they organise activities daily which is good. Knocked off a star for some hot water issues and no free breakfast.

The rooms at this hostel were very clean. Ammenities were excellent given the price - linens were included, the room had a private restroom, and a communal kitchen was available. I visited during the winter, during which the outdoor patio was closed, unfortunately. However, there was a bar/restaraunt open on site in the basement offering drinks, food, and live entertainment. The location was great for sightseeing, as the distillery district and market were within walking distance. Overall, I would recommend this hostel.

FYI, The outside is black and white not orange and blue anymore.

This was the worst hostel experience I have encounter so far. They have literally two or three toilets/showers for the whole floor of 40-60 people. Yeah imagine when everybody trying to tune in for the night. I also didn't like that the restrooms were shared male/female. It was dirty and cramped. Locks was not sturdy.

Rooms were clean and tidy. I like each bunk had an outlet to plug along the wall. Good thing I only stayed for one night so I endured it

Basically located in downtown. Rooms are good based on that price (35$/night). Hairdryer doesn't work in the bathroom linked to the room I am living. Stuffs are friendly and gave a good service. Bed is clean and comfortable. Bar in the basement is very nice but only very few people go there. WiFi has a poor quality, but overall it's a good place to stay.
