We had a great time! The hotel was clearly remodeled to look more modern, but it was still clean enough to enjoy. The best part of this hotel, is it's location. It's close enough to all of the places that we wanted to be at. It's even attached to 3 different small versions of fast-food/restaurants.
Great location, within walking distance to everything. Good service and good parking. Clean rooms, decor a little old fashioned but otherwise good.
I have been a few times with my kids. The rooms have been clean with no issues. Rooms have come with fridge and microwave. Pool and hot tub are ok. The slide has been broken the last two times that I have went. Very close to Clifton hill. Overall would stay again for the price. I found upgrades to be a little pricey considering it's the off season and the fact that there was construction out front of the hotel at the time of our stay
Just stayed there last weekend and it was perfect. There was a hockey tournament going on but the hotel put both teams all together on one floor so remaining guests would have quiet on their floors. Room was very clean and service was great. They do charge for parking however which I thought was a bit strange but not the end of the world. Long story short, yes I would stay there again for sure.
For the price and location it was definitely worth the money! Rooms were updated, new mattresses. I had a suite with the jetted tub and it was VERY spacious. Walking distance to almost everything. Never tried the Howard Johnson hotel chain but will definitely return.
Terrible experience, As soon as we drove into the hotel lot we could tell it was a bit run down all though we had gotten a room for 2 nights at a $60 per night rate that was the only upside.
The room was supposed to be non-smoking, But it had a very musty/smokey air to it that within a few minutes gave everyone in my party a headache, The bedding had cigarette burns throughout it and the dust ruffle was torn pretty good. We were able to get out of paying but still we’re charged a $20 fee for cancelling.
We ended up going to the Marriott fallsview and let me tell you, It was completely worth that extra money!
The room was a bit small. I had booked a king size bed and it didn't seem like it was a king bed. Asked for toiletries, front desk had said to use the vending machine. You have to pay for parking which is usually the norm at any hotel at the falls. I really enjoyed the late check out and we were able to check out with the TV in our room instead of having to go down to the front and wait in line
The location was great. Righr next to Clifton Hill and about a 35 minute walk to the horseshoe falls. The rooms were clean and comfortable. What I didn't like was that there is no breakfast included and parking costs $10 a day. Also the slide in the pool was shutdown. Otherwise, our stay was just fine.
Had an amazing time. The hotel is close to everything that you really want to see around Niagara Falls. Extremely close to Clifton Hills. The kids love that everything was close by. The guy at the front desk commented us very well even though we came there one week early and had a room for us and automatically gave us the room so he was very well with us so I recommend this place
Wifi didn't work properly in the hotel. They don't have the local Deny's phone number available with their Deny's menu (common sense, right?? If you're going to order food, don't you need a phone number?) The towels are low quality and feel like sandpaper. The comforter is so thin and doesn't keep you warm. The coffee machine stopped working after one use. It's so noisy all night long due to the active nightlife. Parking is not free ($10). The alarm clock had a function to plug in your music via a cord but it was broken.. The shower's bottom faucet leaks water when only water is supposed to come from the shower head.
I loved the new vintage styled aesthetics. The rooms were great, amazing comfy bed, quiet and clean. The only complaint I have, and it's a major one, is that the internet access is a joke. They advertise "high speed" wireless, most of the time there it didn't work at all, and when it did I usually got less than 1Mb up/down. When the internet works it's so slow as to be absolutely useless.
Three stars for having a decent and clean room and room amenities. It did, however have a funky smell of cleaning products on a dirty smelly sponge upon walking in.
I also found the front-desk staff to be not so friendly, very rote and robotic and did not even smile upon checking in and out. No complimentary breakfast or coffee/tea offered. You can go to the many nearby restaurants with inflated prices though. I was disappointed we could not use the indoor pool that one day (in April) that we stayed there because it was raining and thundering outside. Apparently their outdoor pool is connected to their indoor pool and hot tub with the same copper piping so when it rains outside, you cannot even swim inside. To me, that misses the point of having all the benefits of an indoor pool. It might have been better had it not rained that day because we picked this hotel BECAUSE of the pool.
Great place if you are just looking for a room for the night without any friendly interaction or helpful pointers for tourists. Not so good if you happen to stay when its thundering or if you enjoy the subtle niceties of hotels.
Good room. Updated. Clean. Shower was not up to my standards but the bathroom was a bit awkward likely to accommodate tub. Nice staff on all levels. Helpful
Wifi slightly slow and tv was hit and miss at times with functioning.
Deluxe suite nice. See pics below
Great location. Walking distance to everything
Generous package options and good room price however keg and outback options included weren't great for food quality despite coupons/vouchers.
Parking price great relative to other areas
Stayed in a suite. Beautiful room, clean bed was great. Nice room. Staff was friendly. Parking wasn't the best, and should be included in the price of the room, considering we rented a 160 dollar suite. They charge you 10 dollars for parking even with a reservation. pool and hot tub seemed clean and adequate. Would stay here again.
