Awesome experience and brings back memory. I was at Cloud 9 Restaurant on their last few days. The atmosphere was business as usual and was busy. The food taste great but lamb sirloin was a bit salty.
Ordered BC mussels as entree and the mussels were relatively bigger than other mussels I've eaten.
Unfortunately Empire Landmark Hotel and Cloud 9 Revolving Restaurant is now permanently closed for new condo development in the future. The final day of service was September 30, 2017.response / report this review -

The hotel is tired and rumored to be closing. It shows in the attitude of some of the staff. We arrived early and we're told our room would be ready at 3pm. At 3pm we were told our room was not ready yet and we would have to wait. This is after a 4.5 flight and waiting since noon for our room. The staff person did not want to deal with this. Another staff person was willing to find us a room in the hotel, which was very good.

My wife and I took our son and his girlfriend for a double birthday party at Cloud 9 restaurant. We have been to this restaurant several times over as many decades, and it never disappoints. The View was spectacular, the food and service, excellent. We had a wonderful time together. Thank you for many years of enjoyment, Cloud 9 restaurant. P.S. The Landmark jazz bar is also a favorite.

The restaurant itself is run down. However, it's no surprise considering its torn down in a month. The food however, was just as good as last time, and the time before that. Even the pizza from the kids menu was tasty. A landmark that will be gone but hopefully not forgotten anytime soon.

Parking was fine. The room was clean, but stains could be seen on the carpet. The view from our balcony was phenomenal, though the balcony was connected to the balconies of the rooms next to us. You get what you pay for here.

The room was very outdated looked a lot older than the pictures lead to believe. The rooms weren't that clean. The housekeeping staff woke us up at 7:30 to clean our rooms. The staff didn't want to give us the time of day, and seemed annoyed to give us advice on how to get places. The advice they did give was bad "only way to tswwassen ferry was a $50 cab" good thing we found better solutions, because the cab would have cost over $100. (by the way taking the subway and a bus worked out great and cost less than $10).

Here for 3 nights on business, have stayed at most major downtown Vancouver hotels but this was my first experience at the Empire Landmark. Room on the 38th floor has a stunning view and a nice (if narrow) balcony. Furnishings are mostly modern, linens etc. are of high quality. Room feels spacious and clean. Hotel itself has a relatively relaxed vibe, and hotel staff have been very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant on the top floor (Cloud 9) has decent food and great views. Wish room service was offered, but that is not a major complaint. Overall, exceptional experience, will request accommodations here again.

Our stay at Empire Landmark Hotel was memorable. There is nothing better. The service, staff and the room was very good. Especially, the location is very convenient,.. a lot of access to many places. The day we checked in.., it was late evening and raining. One of the staff member offered us a umbrella to explore Vancouver for a bit. The security process is excellent. We were free and relaxed staying at your hotel. I recommend to others to have this wonderful experience staying at your hotel. We will be coming back for sure

it was fantastic service and it was great view. it just one of landmark building in Vancouver downtown. Interior is not that nice. But it's ok to stay for business people, couples, friends or family. Famous cloud 9 restaurant is on top of building. Absolutely I want to visit again.

Some people's reviews need to chill out here. Yes this hotel has seen better days but it has all you need. The water pressure is great, the showers get hot, the beds are HUGE! It comes with all the amenities a 3 star hotel is expected to have. If you're coming here you haven't paid for the Ritz and it more than delivers for the price we paid! On top of this try and get a room high up. The views out are amazing and not to be missed! (PS the WiFi is a bit slow and intermittent)

Located in the heart of downtown, this hotel is great for someone looking to tour on foot. Close to many great restaurants and music venues. Rooms are spacious and well furnished. Lacking on toiletries and other courtesy products (although free coffee is included).

Amazing view, very dated rooms. Think of it as staying in a run down Super 8 Motel high above the clouds with a million dollar view. Great if you want to go time travelling in the 70/80s but not so great for family

Beautiful view and great food! Reasonable priced as well. Recommend to book in advance and pick a time that you can see the sunset. Romantic theme but we had 5 birthdays party that evening
