This shop has been around a long time and it appears it's now a 1 man show. I called to discuss my my problem (service light on) & Mike took the time to explain that he was booked till next week but was willing to use an OBD2 reader to pinpoint my problem.

I arrived in 5 mins, he used a scanner and deduced that my car was still safe to drive until my appointment date.

A few days later, after doing my own tuneup, oil change, etc. and disconnecting & reconnecting the battery, the service light hasn't reappeared after 300km of driving.

I called to cancel my appointment & Mike had no hard feelings. He's a genuinely honest guy that goes out of his way to provide excellent service. I highly recommend him and will return in the future.

Great experience. I went it for an oil change and AC recharge for my 2001 Savana. Mike did both for a fair charge, didn't gouge, and took a whole lot of time to tell me what he did and what I should look out for. His shop is full of stuff but organized and he is booked a week or two out, a sign of his popularity. I think he could use a a couple more mechanics to help with his workload, but he doesn't seem to let it get him down. I seem to have found my new go-to mechanic.

My parents are not easily won over or impressed by humans and especially when $ is involved. So when my van broke down in Vancouver and my dad was insisting that this mechanic was "100% trustworthy" I was shocked and in awe.. but to my amazement this Mike character had won their hearts over years ago and our entire family including brothers and sisters only call on Mike in our time of automotive Distress! Just wanted to honour him publicly as he has honoured us privately under the hood of our vehicles and chosen to deal with us fairly.

We've been using Edmonds Motors for nearly 7 years now and have referred a lot of our friends to Mike and Alan. They take their time to explain their troubleshooting methods, are very upfront about labor and parts costs, and are generally just very nice guys. If I were going to send my own Mother to a mechanic, Edmonds Motors is where I'd send her! :) They're quite a bit out of our way, but they'll drop you at SkyTrain or let you drop off the car in the evening. I've never felt ripped off, and I'm something that used to ALWAYS feel like mechanic's were always ripping me off. :)
