We had the pleasure of staying at this hotel Oct 18 to the 20th the people at this place were so friendly from the moment we check in until we checked out. We had been planning this trip for a couple of yrs. but not knowing where to stay. we looked on line and all the past reviews were very high.
I would highly recommend this hotel for its staff, location and accommodations. It is first class all the way.
And yes, if we were to go back, this Hotel would be our first choice
and a special thanks to Jessie sorry about the umbrella
Clean, modern, and matched the photos posted online. The room had a comfortable bed and a slightly tiny bathroom. Bath products were high quality, and the hotel has a nice pool and spa. The bar at the top of the hill had good tapas with a nice happy hour special and custom cocktails. It's quite walkable to many of Victoria's sights like the waterfront, the empress, and the bc museum. Also near many good restaurants.
Stayed in the hotel for 4 nights as an add on to our Titan holiday. What a lovely hotel and the staff were so helpful. Had a problem with the safe and called reception. Someone was there in minutes to sort it for us. Our suite was lovely and the bed so comfortable. Our room was serviced by Jackalyn who did a lovely job . The Jacuzzi was wonderful but the pool a tad too cool. The reception is a beautiful area also the rooftop bar with it's lovely views at night. Thank you for making the last days of our holiday so pleasant.☺
Great hotel to stay in Victoria, staff from entrance to the top restaurant is very friendly and helpfully, the rooms are spacious, clean and modern. The breakfast in the top floor restaurant absolutely delicious. There is a car park for the guests and the central location of the hotel makes it easy to walk through the city center. Plus a great view to the harbor from our room.
We stayed in the Executive suite which was beautifully renovated with gorgeous kitchen and bedrooms with amazing views. The individual air conditioning in each room was much appreciated during the heat wave.
The location is so convenient to walk around to the various tourist attractions such as the legislator, Royal museum, and the Empress.
The staff was friendly and professional when we arrived. The coffee bar in the morning is popular station and rightfully so.
The one drawback that we found is that the covered parking is limited and on a first come first serve basis. Meaning that people who spent half of what we were spending were able to get close, covered parking whereas we had to park further away in an open, uncovered lot. Thank goodness it wasn't raining.
We showed up prior to check in time coming off the ferry from Port Angeles. The front desk staff was very willing to see to our room being ready as soon as possible. We had called the day before and said we would be there early so a note had been made on our room. After waiting about 15 minutes our room was ready.
Later that day we had a whale watching tour scheduled. The bell hop, Gene, was ready to drive us to our tour. Throughout the entire duration of our stay, the front desk, house keeping, bell hop, and dining staff all went the extra mile to ensure our stay was as relaxing and enjoyable as possible.
Through conversations with several hotel staff we learned that the Chateau Victoria is a family run business and it shows in the way the staff treat their guests and truly enjoy their jobs. We would highly recommend staying here.
We have been staying at the Chateau Victoria for 15 years. It is a wonderful hotel offering suites and rooms. Over the last 5 years it has been completely refurbished. The staff stays on for years. They remember us. They offer a van service and will take you all over the city if you ask at the right time.
Rooms were amazing. Staff assessed our needs and upgraded us for free because it would have been cramped for what I chose. 2 different types of parking in case you have a tall vehicle. Perfect location. Everything was well appointed. Quick check in. This is one of the best overnight stays I have had at any hotel and very inexpensive for the quality.
One of the better hotels I've stayed in at this star range. The Chateau Victoria has updated rooms and i was given a beautiful spacious two bedroom suite.
The rooms on the higher floors have amzixng views and wrap round balconies in some and the beds are brand new and comfortable.
One issue you may face is neighbour noise. I heard children running in the hall and neighbours slamming doors a lot in my room. Typical of BC buildings with thinner walls. But I still slept well.
Staff are great and reception is dazzling. Highly recommended. Well located , modern rooms, great service.
We had to book a hotel in Victoria last minute with our puppy and we were a bit worried that we would not be able to find a nice, clean and reasonably affordable hotel room. We were so impressed with our stay at the Chateau Victoria - it was a good price, parking was great, the customer service was excellent - all staff were nice and were extremely accommodating to our puppy - and our room was cozy and clean. Our puppy was given dog bones, there was a green space available to take him out, and dog beds for our room were available if we so needed. It can be difficult to find places that are accommodating to our pets and the Chateau Victoria was excellent in doing just that! Being that we live in the North Island, we come to Victoria quite often for weekend stays and we will definitely stay at the Chateau Victoria again!
