We booked two nights this past weekend, We thought location was great and the price was okay. The room on the other hand looked nothing like the pictures. It was a dive. We also were in a room right by the ice machine, elevator and the door coming up from the lobby. We ended up only staying the one night because we couldn't cancel on arrival. We booked a room elsewhere for our other night for a similar price for a way nicer hotel. Sorry but I don't suggest this hotel unless you are partying all night in the club and just need a place to crash.

Huge hotel that features a couple bars and a nightclub. Food is good with a menu not too crammed but also provides enough variety. Big Bad John's and the Sticky Wicket are the bars. Sticky is definitely the more high profile spot out of the two. Distrikt is downstairs and its the nightclub. Fits a ton of people while maintaining seating, lounge and VIP areas. Bouncers are all good guys who want you to have a good time as long as you're controlled. Never actually stayed at the hotel so that's as far as my review goes 🖖🏼🖖🏼🙃🙂

The Strathcona is conveniently located downtown within easy walking distance of the main harbor area attractions like the Empress and Parliament. The nightly rate was pretty good for summer, and the room was decently spacious. The same building houses numerous bars and clubs, which offer a bit of nightlife after exploring Victoria in the day. A decent Continental breakfast is included with toast, bagels, waffles, yogurt, boiled eggs, juice, coffee, and fruit.

When we showed up, we were greeted with smiles and a classic atmosphere. The location was easy to find and close to the water. The food was amazing and the waitress was stunning. After the pub we went to the roof top to play some volleyball and a few more drinks and ended are night playing pool in the games room. All and all it was an amazing experience and I would go there again for sure

Visited Big Bad John's within the hotel. Interesting place along with clientele. That being said, friendly staff, fun atmosphere and a good spot to grab a few pints. Would recommend the sticky wicket, also within the hotel, over Big Bad John's.

Had a great experience. The connecting bars made for an easy and fun night. The room it's self was really nice and comfortable! Just a little loud if you are trying to sleep before the bars close though.

Love the games room!! Staff are amazing! Drinks moderately priced. Also dancing at clubhouse and distrikt. So convenient having everything so close together. Will be back!
