We had an amazing time. Rooms were very clean. Had a blast at the attached pub. Would definitely stay again. We
Their kitchen was closed when I checked in so I inquired at the front desk about any kitchens, preferably not fast food, within walking distance. The representative at the desk listed a slew of fast food restaurants as my only options. Luckily, at the same time the cook walked by and said that there was a kitchen open a two minute walk down the road. If the rep had just forgotten about it, that would have been understandable. However, she openly admitted to not mentioning that one because it is attached to the Ramada. To say the least, I was miffed. The place down the street was so good that I went there again for breakfast.
I would still stay at the Days Inn, but this was a bad experience.
Average hotel fine to crash for the night. Pool wasn't clean. Nearby to amenities. Because the hotel is on the hill the main level on the front becomes second floor at the back so if you are parked at the back you have to climb two floors with luggage as they don't have a elevator at the back. My stay was ok. Next time I will prefer looking for another hotel.
I am relocating to Victoria with my family. I called last night to get a quote for a monthly rate. I got one, it was pretty good. But we were waiting to hear about a rental, so waited until this morning to make the booking. The price changed, a lot and additional "fees" were quoted and I was told that what was originally quoted was not possible. Insinuating a guest is lying is neither pleasant nor warranted. We haven't even visited this location. If we do, I'll update the review and make any necessary changes.
Housekeepers did a nice job of keeping the place clean. Showers did not keep a stable temperature. Amusing at first, but it got old fast.
Overall enjoyable stay
The room and location is great. The bar upstairs has great service and great food. It's a little loud due to thin walls.
Hotel is nothing particularly special. It's cheap and a good place to stay the night when passing through. The bar and restaurant is alright, it just got a change in management though so they were still figuring things out. Work out room is minimal with a yoga ball and a treadmill and a few other cardio machines. Heating and air conditioning in the room is rather basic with hot low/high and cold low/high and is pretty noisy even on low. Can't complain though because the room was $60 through several booking sites so it's cheap. No complaints at all you just get what you pay for.
Staff are courteous and helpful, rooms are clean and fairly quiet. Older rooms, but nicely renovated/painted. Great affordable place for families.
The Days Inn Victoria Uptown on Gorge Rd was pretty good, had a suite and although the room was a bit outdated, it was very comfortable, and was pretty clean as well. The food at the restaurant was really good as well. It's also in a pretty good location as it's not so close to downtown that its overly expensive, but not overly far from downtown either.
Fine beds. Decent internet. The visual quality of the TV is a bit shabby, but not too bad. The kitchenette could use slightly bigger bowls. A normal amount of power outlets, which means not enough.
