I would highly recommend this place! I have been taking my two kitties to this clinic for over a year now (though my association goes much further back - I adopted my kitties there 12 years ago, when it was under different ownership), and have been very impressed with the degree and quality of care. Dr. Moaveni and his staff genuinely and generously provide the best care possible for their furry patients and want to see them healthy and happy.

I have never felt that any treatment has been pushed on me, in fact they have gone out of their way to make treatments and tests as easy and affordable as possible, I can only imagine to the detriment of their bottom line. Everyone has been very patient with my questions and my kitties’ peculiarities, even to the point of replacing a medication when my cat refused it because she prefers a different brand.

While I fear that my cats will never be entirely comfortable going to the vet, I know that every time they are in excellent hands.

I will rate this animal hospital five star for few reasons. Doctors and staff are very caring. Every time you call Doctor will come to the phone and talk to to you personally or will return you call as soon as he can. Second reason is that whenever there is a financial concern doctor amd staff will help u to do what is really needed and never look into make a big bill for u. I read a few of negative reviews and after being client for this office for more than two decades i am strongly disagree with those reviewers. Thank you.

I am using Burnaby New WEstminster AH for years for my cat. I can not complain of anything. Vererinarian is always very patient anf kind and spends as much time as needed. Staff are helpful and kind too. I would recommend this animal hospital if you need good quality veterinary service.

As of today I inquired about my guinea pig how they treat exotic animals like that, the lady from the reception told me that $65 charge for the test or examinations, then results will be come put after 2-3days. Then, I asked her after exmas, my pet would stay there for treatment or should I bring it back home.. but she put me on hold until now I am writing this..”what a nice customer service, very satisfying courtesy”..

Even if they are busy, they should be quickly back on the phone coz’ the caller might be on a hurry or need something very badly for the pet.

Pls, teach her some manners in answering phone calls, because later on she will be your burden getting bad results or feedback from someone else..

We had taken our Cat to this clinic when he was a bit under the weather.

The Vet was kind and did a proper exam, but the up-selling tactics for other services and "needs" for our animal came instantly and aggressively.

400.00 later, we never got the results of the blood work and exams until a month later after asking politely for a third time.

In the meantime we had been bombarded with constant emails and excuses of the delayed results.

We finally emailed back bagging for the emails to stop as this vet office has forgotten it's against the law to spam email accounts without consent. So when they ask you "would you like us to email you the results of the tests for your lovely pet" just don't.

Everyone at the clinic was very kind, and it's definitely not a money hungry location to take your pets. Consultation is cheaper than most other vet locations and they definitely dont run unnecessary tests. The only reason i'm giving 4 starts instead of 5 is because the entire process just felt a bit rushed to me and not as personal as what I'm used to.

My husband and I have a 4 year old yorkie and 9 month old chocolate lab. We have been taking them to Dr.Movani since they were pups. I get very good service from the front desk staff and the doctor's at the clinic. When I need to see them on an urgent basis, they always make time and attend to my dogs, I always get follow up calls from them. My lab has had food allergies and Dr.Movani was very helpful in finding a solution. We've had Dr.Gilbert a few times and he's been great with giving suggestions on puppy training tips and health tips. It's at a very convenient location as well. 5 stars for burnaby new west animal hospital

We took our dog here a few weeks ago. We read reviews and made the decision it would be the place to get our dog spayed. They would not spay our dog unless we got a exam done first, despite just having a exam done less then one month prior at another vet. We were told it would be $65. We went in and he seemed good. All of a sudden we were being told our 6 month old puppy needed adult teeth pulled despite that she is still growing, she has allergies and we need to buy his specific food only. When discussion happened about different dog foods or raw diet we were shut down and frowned upon for even asking about it. Our bill turned into over $200 and we walked away with stuff that seemed she didn't need. I started bathing her with a shampoo the vet said I must use daily and she developed a horrible rash that now we are having trouble containing. We took her back and he blamed me for the food I was feeding her. Again he made me feel horrible for not using his specific brand of dog food. He gave me oral antibiotics and no cream and told me to continue with the shampoo. 7 days of being on the medication the rash was just spreading. The shampoo was making it even worse. I went back to my original vet (don't know why I left them) and she was put on two different medications in addition to the one already prescribed. This included a cream. Now being on a combination of all three for less then 2 days the rash is finally being managed and my dog is out of discomfort. You can even see it's healing and getting on its way to clearing up. Her food doesn't seem to be the problem at the moment. The vet may be nice but more into specifically selling you stuff you don't need and only making sure your buying from him. Also he is trying to do procedures that are unnecessary for a puppy that is still growing and all of that is wrong.

I highly recommend not going to this vet for the sake of saving money and for your pets overall health.

This is a great place to take your pet. I had never owned a pet before and just adopted a cat last year. Dr. Moaveni and the staff here helped me out a lot when I came in for the first time and have been great the two times I've come back. Dr. Moaveni never pushes anything and is very clear with his explanations when he recommends certain treatments. Very positive vet experience.

The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Appointments have been easy to get at times that work for us. Our dog had oral surgery and their care for him was great. We are very pleased with this vet and would recommend the clinic for pet needs.

Have been taking my cats and dog to Burnaby/Newest for a couple years now! I love how they treat my pets, always making sure they are comfortable and cared for! The staff are always wonderful at answering any questions or concerns I have and assuring me that my pets health is the top priority! From my experiences with check-ups to major surgeries, this clinic has been nothing but excellent, would highly recommend taking your pets here if your looking for a place with great staff and services!
