  Beautiful interior, absolutely warm and cozy atmosphere. historic and interesting location. There are lots of neat photos around. Service is excellent. Servers are well informed and knowledgeable about menu and drinks. The food is really great, fresh and local. Menu isn't huge, but easy to find something New, or a comfort food.

  One of the best pubs I have ever been to in my entire life. It was a beautiful, old bank and has been converted very tastefully and expensively (my guess). Excellent beer and wine selection, great cocktails, food is way above average. Service was exemplary.

  Loved, loved, loved this place! Elegant and unique dining experience. Service was especially good. We enjoyed breakfast here then came back for a late dinner and cocktails. Perfect start and end to a perfect day in Victoria!

  Walking by one Monday night we heard an amazing singing voice coming from inside. We went in for a drink and have been back on several Monday's since to see the live music. The service is great! The prices are average for downtown drinks. I love the atmosphere!

  We went on a Tuesday night and there was good live music, but the lack of service killed the whole thing. We ordered one plate of food to split, the waitress would refill my water or bus our table every so often, but would never say a word. We finally had to flag down someone else to get another beer. Then the manager saw us looking angry, I'm sure, and came to ask if we needed anything. It was almost a two hour meal that consisted of 1 plate, a side of fries, and 2 beers. Cool history, cool building, bad service. Maybe it's just better on another night, or with a different waitress

  I came on super busy night I believe they had a private event upstairs. Would have been nice for them to inform us when we called in. Made the place lit so not bad. Service is good our server was great, food taste great.

  Had a nice lunch here. Was a little pricey compared to the other local establishments but worth the price we paid.

  This is a "must do" for all visitors to Victoria!!! Scottish old world charmgreat food.friendly staff. This historic building is a stunning environment at any time of day or evening. You will not be disappointed! Kudos to the staff!!

  The selection of draft beers was great. The service was the right balance of being in touch, but not overly so. The food was well prepared and delivered on a timely basis. It was nice to sit next to the fireplace. The Arctic char came with a very original warmslaw.

  We dropped by the Bard and Banker on our honeymoon this Friday and had a really great time. The staff are accommodating and there was a good atmosphere on Friday night.
  
  -We really liked the Robert Service Beer by Phillips. It was pretty good! I loved this angel hair mushroom cream pasta I had too.
  -Our server Dona took care of us and was very friendly.
  -A special thanks to the band and Ange Hehr for indulging us and playing some of our wedding songs. It was a lot of fun!
  
  See you guys again for a beer when we are in town again. Thanks for the great time.
