Nice view of cascade mountain. Great if you don't mind being a ways out of town. Rooms are old and maybe will be for some time. Many of them are time shares and rented by international travel programs.

The rooms that have been renovated are incredible. The set up and location are so great. It's nice to be just outside of town with the option of shuttles in to town.

We are staying in the 2 bedroom wolf condo (renovated one). The space itself is fantastic but the floors are insanely creaky and walls are paper thin. We can hear our neighbors and even within our own unit we can hear each other in separate bedrooms. The beds are too soft for us as we are used to a firmer mattress (all a matter of preference). Service is great from the interactions we had.

The resort is slowly making some good changes to the resort. We own a timeshare there, however more often just visit Banff for the day and then get a hot tub in before we leave. Overall staff was friendly and the facilities are being updated which is nice.

I had a very pleasant stay at the Banff Rocky Mountain Resort. Rooms are very quaint and you are surrounded by nature. Staff are friendly and helpful. Location is a bit far from downtown Banff so keep that in mind if you're not driving. Thankfully though, the hotel offers a shuttle bus to take you to and from downtown Banff.

Great resort. Has amazing view of the mountains. Although i was unlucky that there was smog when i was there. Staff is really nice and helpful. All facilities, pool, sauna, laundry etc available. Rooms are huge and have all requisite facilities. The only bad part is that wifi sucks. Maybe that's by design.

The staff were very friendly, it was nice to be outside of town and away from the hustle of Banff. It's fairly pricey for outdated and uncomfortable couches, and unclean spare blankets. We went to use a spare blanket and it was full of hair. The condos are not sound proof, so we heard the kids upstairs from us alot. The pool and hot tubs are being upgraded, but only 1 jet works in the indoor hot tub. When we told an attendant we were told they knew. The food is amazing, we ordered pizza. I would stay again but would ask to see the room first before I committed.

We stayed here for a wedding and really enjoyed the whole weekend. The little condo rooms are fantastic. Ours had a little patio and looked out onto some greenspace.
We didn't use the kitchenette but the room was all very nice and seemed to be newly renovated.
The shuttle to go downtown was convenient but the walking trail makes it an accessible walk too.
Of course the room cost is quite high but for a weekend getaway and wedding on site, we were very pleased with the experience.response / report this review -

The Banff Rocky Mountain Resort is a great little condo town nestled into the side of a mountain, surrounded by big, beautiful trees. As far as rooms go, there is something here for everyone. We stayed here as a family of four in two different rooms: one night in an upper-level room with two double beds, and the next two nights in a ground-level one bedroom condo. Both were nice; comfortable beds, all the amenities we needed, although, for our family, the condo was obviously more suited to our needs. Our three year old loved the pool, which is simple, but does the trick in his book. Unfortunately, he did not have the same review for the also simple children's outdoor play area, which is basically just a climbing structure (he was disappointed there was no slide or swing). Fortunately, the proximity to town relieved his anguish as it was a quick trip into town to hit up the McDonald's and all the toy and candy stores he could handle. The service was great - they were able to handle all our requests, which included a late checkout so I could have extra time to pack up and move out the kids alone after our first night, and an early check-in to our condo so we didn't have to be out long and I could put our one year old down for her nap on time. We were also welcome to use all the hotel amenities, including the pool, gym, tennis courts, BBQ, etc., during the time between our move. As far as noise, I could hear the train from our upper-level room, which didn't bother us at all, and not much else. In our ground-level condo, we could hear pretty much everything from the condo above, so if I were to stay at the BRMR again, I would definitely request an upper-level condo for our stay. All in all, it's not the nicest place we've stayed at in Banff, but definitely not the worst either. It's a great middle-of-the-road resort with something for everyone. I think it would be perfect for an event, like a wedding, and it was good for our little family adventure to Banff.

Overall the resort was a bit dated, could tell that the units had been pretty well used. Staff were friendly. We stayed in the one bedroom wolf condo. Unit was clean, and the kitchen was quite well stocked. Limited parking.

Would definitely recommend the wolf suite. These newly renovated rooms have a cozy living space, usable kitchen, and comfortable bedroom. The staff at the front desk have been very friendly and very accommodating.

So I'll start with the negative. The cleanliness of our room was definetly lacking. Found dust bunnies all over , food crumbs under the heat register , the bathroom hadn't been dusted in forever you could see dust everywhere. And we found a previous guests crusty old sock in the bedroom (we rented a one bedroom condo for 2 nights ). The pool was gross; the roof was leaking and the sauna was falling apart. Make sure you wear flip flops. There is no store on the property so if you need anything you have to drive into town to get it. On to the positive. The room had been updated so decor was nice. We ate at the restaurant one night and the food was excellent, everything made from scratch. Staff was friendly but when informed of cleanliness issue they just said "oh, sorry". Good location , excellent views. I think we would stay here again BUT, next time I would do a walk through and get the cleanliness issue out of the way asap and ask for some sort of compensation if it happened again .

Lovely resort. We stayed in the wolf condos, and they were modern and clean. Only room complaint would be that the floor tiles in the bathroom felt loose. Otherwise, the restaurants was surprisingly good, the food was fresh and yummy, and the guys running the bar were really nice. Service was good and friendly otherwise in the hotel. It took quite a while for them to bring us a bundle of firewood after we requested it, but that's not a huge issue at all. The pool and hot tub areas were clean, and the outdoor hot tub is quite large. We really enjoyed our stay here, and will be back in the future.
