Extremely happy with the service. Awesome to have a free shuttle to get back and forth to downtown. Fireplace is amazing to have in the room. Room itself is cozy. Made a great choice staying here- extended our stay by a day- this place is wicked good! 👍☃️👍

The staff are fantastic. Quick and efficient check in. We loved our own fireplace in our room to have a little romantic mountain getaway. Great place just a short walk from the touristy down town. Dangsecret's out! We will definitely stay here again.

My Wife and I selected Buffalo Mountain Lodge for our wedding that took place on December 2nd, 2016. The staff were amazing to work with and were more than willing to assist with keeping flowers and cakes cool, allowing my wife and her party to stay in their room longer to get makeup and hair done, then helped move her things to the room we had booked for our wedding night.

The rooms are spectacular. The fireplaces add a charm that most hotels and lodges dont give you, while the staff adds to the stay by being the best that we have had the pleasure to deal with.

We love this place so much we are coming back every year for our wedding anniversaries!

Nice little lodge, decent food. Almost no parking for people attending events, all spots on site are for lodge guests. Poor response to technical issues (microphones dropping, unlit patio spaces for night activities) were met with indifference.

If I could give this resort 0 stars I would. I stayed at the Victoria Empress Hotel last week and had a wonderful experience, I should have stayed at the Banff Springs Fairmount also because at least I know they have standards ( and it was around the same price point).
When we arrived, our room was not ready. We were there for a wedding so the front desk offered us the gym changing rooms to freshen up and get dressed. The condition of the change rooms unfortunately, set the tone for the rest of our stay. Both the men's and women's change rooms were in disrepair and had a strong smell. The women's change room smelled like mould. The shower was stained and falling apart. There was also no shampoo or soap for guest use. I honestly did not want to take my shoes of or hang my expensive dress in that room. I guess I was lucky because I spoke to my husband and the men's change room had the odour of mould and urine. Even the housekeeping staff who brought him down the iron agreed with him on the smell. I went to talk to the GM about my concerns and she was probably the most unhelpful and rude hotel personnel I have ever dealt with. She had some scripted response to my concerns and had no interest in helping me. She said that she would personally check the change rooms to inspect the conditionsGuess what? I went down the next day to take pictures and still no soap, shampoo, etc.

The rooms at the Buffalo Mountain lodge are unfortunately outdated and musty. It didn't help that there was no air conditioning also. Our friends had no hot water one night we're advised to use the change rooms instead. The room bathroom showers/tubs were stained. For some reason our bathroom sink looked like it was a kitchen sink which was very odd. The pillows were uncomfortable with and offered no support . For the price I was paying, I expected much more.at least air conditioning ?! I guess I should have been prepared for this because I overheard a guest checking out ( when I was checking in) had a complaint. The front desk staff had the same scripted response to her concerns and totally brushed her off. This hotel staff has no interest in helping you whatsoever. I highly recommend not staying here at all.

My favorite hotel in Banff! Great location up on the mountain, in a bit of isolation from the crowded city, but still 3 minutes to downtown. Clean rooms, AWESOME food at the main restaurant, unlimited supplies of wood for fireplace, freshest air, own balconies. All there is needed for a perfect stay in Canadian Rockies. A+ for staff, Molly the manager thanks for your help and Ben at the Sleeping Buffalo thank you for your outstanding service. Keep up the good work! Your loyal customer for 4 years now

I was a guest at a wedding and didn't stay at the resort. The grassy field that the ceremony was held at was incredible. The view of the peaks is awesome! There were approximately 125 people attending the ceremony and there would have been room for three or four times as many people. The exterior of the lodgings looked great and I imagine it would be a great place to stay. Parking is a little tight so if planning a big event here make sure to shuttle guests up or give them clear instructions about where to park.

Buffalo Mountain lodge has a great atmosphere and a rustic feel. The rooms were cosy with the rustic chairs and actual wood fireplace. They also had good modern features like included wifi and flat screen TVs. The food at the Sleeping Buffalo is amazing and Cilantro is spot on as well. Overall a great place for an overnight getaway or as a launch point for a weekend of skiing.

We had our annual organizational retreat and it turned out to be a very pleasant experience. The staff we dealt with were very professional and friendly and I found the rooms well-kept and clean. It even has a fireplace with real logs for those who feel so inclined. There is a complimentary shuttle, I found out, that can take guests into town. On this occasion, it was not available but the hotel provided taxis to take us to town for our dinner reservation when we needed it. All in all a very relaxing and enjoyable three days.

Stopped in at Buffalo Mountain Lodge to see if it was a good fit for a possible wedding venue. The staff were attentive and polite. The lodge is beautiful inside and out and so rustic. We also wanted to check out the rooms as we and our guests would be staying there for a couple of days as well; they were nicely decorated that had a beautiful fireplace and most rooms had a deck to enjoy the outdoors. I wouldn't hesitate staying there at all.

Lovely grouping of buildings nestled on the side of a mountain. Stunning views, large outdoor hot tub. Free parking is very close to the units. The indoor wood fireplace with free wood is a beautiful touch. Warmth, romance, comfort.

Amenities are basic, the rustic rooms are charming but beginning to show their age. Everything was clean and comfortable. Only had breakfast at the Sleeping Buffalo, the food was tasty and service prompt. Dinner options sounded tasty, lots of regional specialties.

Was a short 15 minute comfortable walk into town. Minor slope (you are on a mountain) but paved sidewalk the entire way. The lodge also provides secure ski, snowboard and bicycle storage. I would happily stay there again.
