The hotel was a very pleasant experience. The room was nice and clean, perfectly located close to the downtown area which makes everything walking distance, yet far enough to not be noisy. The outdoor hot tub was refreshing. The only complaint would be the layout of the room. You walked into the bedroom, then bathroom, then living room area(ours was the upgraded room), so if it was loud outside, you could possibly hear it from the bedroom, we didn't have that problem though. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a great shoulder-season stay at Banff Aspen Lodge. The rooms are recently renovated, the outdoor hot pool area is nice and cozy. Breakfast was great, including hot items: quality bread from a local bakery (JK), eggs, hash browns, and, on one morning, local Valbella sausages from Canmore! The in-house cafe makes the best lattés in town. Check in and check out was easy. Our only complaint was that the heating system in the room was very loud. It was possible to turn it off, but there was a draft under the door from the courtyard, so if it had been colder outside, it would have been hard to keep the room warm enough and still be able to sleep with the loud fan running. Regardless, this is a good value in Banff, especially when there are sales in non-peak months. We'll be back!

A renovated very nice place to come and relax. 2 very nice hot tubs and also dry sauna and steam rooms. Right on the main strip and close for walking to everything. good WIFI and lots of parking. Would stay here again, was well within the budget. Had a decent free breakfast in the mornings.

The Aspen Lodge is well position and staff very helpful and friendly room is of great size and good versilerties. Banff is a fabulous place and their are many tours for all tastes. You won't be disappointed

Friendly staff, clean rooms, nice breakfast. I wish the rooms were arranged differently. With no AC, I wanted to open a window at night but the window is right next to the bed and accessible to people walking by.

We planned to stay only one night in Banff so we chose a hotel in the village. We thought it would be very nice since the price was so high, 500$ for only one night. Anyways, when we got to the hotel we were told that our rooms were screwed up and they had only given us one bed. The front desk was kind enough to give us a room with 2 single beds and a queen, so that was nice. The room was not very spacious, very narrow. I did like how there were two vanities though. Now to the main problem.

For this trip we did not want to pack too heavy as we were going to many different locations quite quickly. So we knew that we needed a hotel with laundry services. What sold us on the hotel was the fact that they had laundry which is usually a huge plus for guests, for us it was the reason we went there. When we arrived we were told that the machine had been broken for over a week and that they would not be getting another machine for a while.

In order for this to be okay we would have appreciated some notice before we arrived so we would know how many clothes to bring. This was a big problem for us as we were on a tight schedule.

Breakfast wasn't very good either. We try to eat mostly vegetarian and most of the options had meat. The other food that was vegetarian wasn't that good on its own. We were very disappointed.

Rooms are airy and spacious! Loved that the sinks were outside the toilets. Good housekeeping services. Breakfast spread is quite limited, and weird that they keep all the beverages in the kitchen. So if you want anything, you have to ask the staff each time. Granola is very good.

Surprised that the room corridors were "open-air", that was quite cold!

Beautiful hotel. Clean rooms, good facilities, and also there are fans in the room! The breakfast was nice but the selection wasn't a lot. The staff are friendly!

A cheaper alternative. Close to the Banff core. A good, free buffet Breakfast (we were there in winter, bacon scrambled eggs, sausage cereal, fruit, etc) two outdoor hot tubs in a courtyard. Steam room and dry sauna near by. If you're checking out early in the morning, ask at the front desk (the day before in the morning) to have the kitchen make you a breakfast to go. Good locked ski room and free locks to borrow so you can chain lock your skis inside too. Very limited indoor parking (maybe 10 to 15 spots). The bus to the ski hills stops at the hotel next door. Rooms are clean and hotel provides robes in room for you to use (comes in handy for trips to Hot tub, sauna and steam room) . Nice little room off of the main lobby with seating for 6 and a fireplace. fast Wifi.

A great hotel! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and comfy. Breakfast was good and had enough variety to keep it interesting. The staff were also very helpful when we left something behind to help us look for it. The only slight difficulty was the elevator is very small, so it can be a bit of a hassle to transport large luggage or items. But other than that I would book again.

Oh, and the absolute best coffee shop in Banff is in the Lobby!

This was our first trip to Banff and should there be another, we are coming back to this hotel. It was a lovely little place, with two hot tubs and two saunas. The entire staff were amazing!! From the receptionists to the house cleaning to the waitresses and waiters in the breakfast room: all were polite, smiling and patient with all our requests and questions! The whole place was clean and well maintained. We loved that we could walk easily to all our in-town destinations from here, or take a bus only a block away. Thank you Aspen Lodge for making my holiday so special!!

I'm giving 2 stars due to the fact I called and confirmed my appointment and when doing so made sure we would be in a quiet room. I was told we would be moved from street side to non street for noise levels and no where near the elevator. We would also still have mountain views they would just to be as good and we were right next to the hot tub. I was like great.
Check into room no mountain not at all close to hot tube. So I call well there is nothing we can do not sure why staff told you that. etc. so room is not quiet at all as there is a half inch gap from door to floor. So we hear every elevator dig and everyone getting on off everyone opening/closing there door, the stairwell the parking garage.
Female- bring own blow dryer one in room does not get very hot.
Guys- bathroom ceiling is very low so if you are tall not a lot of extra room.
Light sleepers- request a room outside so your door will be soundproof and no gap.
Pro- rooms looked clean and recent Reno. Coffee shop pretty much in Hotel.
So I would not be as annoyed if I had received the room I was told I would have. It would also be nice if the door did not have that gap so we would not hear EVERYTHING !! I will try and attach the pictures taken.

The location is close enough to the main part of town that it is possible to walk to shops and restaurants.
There are two lovely hot tubs, one large and one small which also has a fireplace. Some ornate pine trees made a pleasant backdrop during the winter season.
The morning complimentary breakfast was a good start to the day with some warm items and a variety of other typical breakfast foods.
Overall our group had a great stay.
