Beautiful rooms, perfect location for marathon weekend. Front end staff and house keeping were extremely helpful when we left some things in the rooms. Would definitely recommend this place to others
Check in was easy and quick. The rooms are air conditioned, and the beds are new. Front desk has many helpful pamphlets for activities in the area.
It was great. The room was very clean and the air conditioning was awesome. Also close to downtown too. I'll come back.
Bed and room were very comfortable and clean. Our room was quiet. Enjoyed a brief soak in the tub. Staff were friendly and helpful. It is not the Empress Hotel, but more affordable.
I have never been more disappointed with a room in my life, if there was an option for less than 1 star it would get it. Came into our room sitting at 35 degrees. Went to turn on the lamp and plug in my cell charger, the lamp is unplugged and you have to pull the whole bed away to reach a plug in. Baseboards are falling off and moldy in places. Broken floor tile, the towel bar that I had to fix so it could stay hanging up. And claims to have a "rain fall shower head" thats a regular $25 wall mounted shower head. They even tried to re paint everything and now there is paint on all the hardware in the room. The room key even quit working on the door. For what they have to offer it should be a $50 a night hotel. Worst experience at a hotel.
Disgusting.Big creepy black Rats found in hotel rooms- and I will link to the photos soon. Stepped on glue trap under bed and it was never declared they had a rat problem.
Also fairly certain Ive contracted scabies from this hotel; and I didnt even sleep there. I only reached behind the bed to plug a lamp in. Was there to help a friend move a suitcase. And Yes, I am fairly certain it came from this room as another person who stayed in the room and actually slept there had similar symptoms.
Dont trust this hotel or the way theyre running things. Its outright disgusting. I'd rather sleep in the lobby floor at the Cambie in Vancouver.
Desk person was a little unintersted in whether or not we stayed or not. Our room was a very nice though and pretty comfortable. bus service to downtown was great!
The room was cozy and comfortable. The service was great especially if you're coming from outside the country. It's affordable but really good
Good experience. Looks old but is well kept. No elevator. Very comfy beds and pillows. Great shower. Only thing that was bad was the stove in our suite would set off the fire alarm when the bottom right element was turned for more than two minutes.
we stayed in the king suite and it was very nice. the location is a bit tricky to find as it's down a hill and shares a parking lot with a car rental agency. it's also the first turn after the lights so if you're not ready you'll miss it. the service was very good from the reception desk. there is no elevator so hopefully you don't have too much heavy luggage.
over all I recommend it for its astethics, service and affordability
