Just the peace and quiet we needed for a weekend away from home. Close enough to town to head in, but far enough for little to no other people. Heated pool was a great plus

The leadership team at FriesenPress reserved a meeting room at Brentwood to conduct our annual planning activities for the company. While the resort is a bit of a drive to get to, the drive is stunning and when you arrive and see the water, the views and all of the natural wood of the resort, you will know the drive was worth it. The staff, from the Sales Manager to the Front Desk and Server were all top notch. So accommodating and helpful. We opted for lunch in the dining room which was delicious, as we enjoyed the views. The meeting room itself was well equipped with all the supplies we needed and washrooms close by. One wall was all windows looking out onto the pool and hot tub. What a wonderful place to spend a morning. We will be back!

Overlooking the water from the first floor. The room with fireplace and Jacuzzi was great. Also had dinner at the restaurant which was great food as well. Staff was very helpful.

Was NOT happy with the stay here. The room we got was dirty with dead bugs in the bathroom. Where floaty stuff in the tub when we filled it up. Then when I was taking a shower to wash off the tub water, the ceiling of the shower had A LOT of black mold. We were then given a new room with 60$ taken off our bill. When checking out the next day the bill was full price with no 60$ off for the disgusting room.
Also extra charges for little things. Charged extra for tea and coffee in the room. I have stayed at cheaper places and had way better of a stay.
Will NOT be returning and would NOT suggest this hotel!

Fantastic service, excellent wine list and a great menu. Steak was amazing. Desserts were fantastic. Only downsides were charcuterie board was small, and tuna fish was overwhelmed by the accompanying (delicious) squid ink risotto. Would gladly go again. Beautiful decor and view.

Went for Easter brunch at the 1pm sitting. It was almost empty which should've been my first clue. Buffet was small and the food had been sitting there for quite sometime and they didn't replenish anything that ran out. juice was extra on top of the already expensive price and they don't tell you this. The service was almost nonexistent. VERY disappointing. Never again. Go somewhere.anywhere else!
Heard from the manager who said it was unfair to compare this brunch to other brunches in Victoria as they cost $75 for Easter.. this is simply untrue Oak Bay beach hotel, Vista 18 and Laurel Point are a similar price and so much nicer than this one. The Empress is $75. and this was horrible compared to that!!!! So now I can add condescending to my review!!!!

Have had dinner and drinks here many times. Very nice. Best time to go is in the summer when the patio is open.

I had dinner at their restaurant. Server was excellent and food tasted really good. Only issue I had was it took over an hour to get my main course. We were not in a huge rush, but a 2 hr dinner is a really long time.

Our third trip to the resort solidified the fact that we just can't seem to stay away. The rooms are continually well kept, comfortable, and all with a gorgeous view west over the bay. Some of the best night's sleep I've had in my life have been at this resort. This was the first time we stayed during the summer months and were delighted to find the same level of hospitality as we receive during the winter months when we normally visit the island. The staff is attentive, but respectful, willing to lighten the mood when appropriate, but also remain consummate professionals when need be. We didn't schedule any spa services this trip, but only for a lack of time and energy doing too many other activities around the area. Next time we will need to book a stay JUST to enjoy the spa and all they have to offer!

Room Tip: We've always received a 3rd floor room, which suits us well.
    Stayed: August 2015
