Location is good being so close to Lygon Street and an easy walk or tram ride to the city. The rooms a small and noise from the hallway can be disturbing. I felt the service on arrival lacked. Usually reception staff will see someone come up to the counter and ask if they can help straight away, I stood at the counter for only a short time, but that shouldn't happen. The girl remained seated at the computer and only stood up to give me the paperwork to sign and get the credit card. The Christmas tinsel man was at the counter taking up room and there was a bus load about to check in. Overall not my favourite place to stay.

Convenient location. Simple rooms. Very clean and well maintained older hotel that has had a few facelifts. Nice pool area. Hotel restaurant is a bit on the pricey side for basic food (from the bar menu, see photo of a $19.50 steak sandwich with chips). Front staff helpful and always available. Free wifi is a decent speed and reliable. The combination of the price, convenient location and being a full service venue (I.e. on site bar, restaurant, free wifi etc) I would stay here again.

Well priced, friendly staff, smart rooms, with no corners cut on style and quality. The pool is heated to not-freezing so you can cool off in muggy weather. We had a super comfy queen bed with smooth blend sheets, and the heavy curtains blocked the light from floor to ceiling. With it's location so near Lygon Street and Fitzroy, it's my first choice for next time.

Well located hotel close to shopping and restaurants. Rooms very large, though small bathrooms. Very happy with flexibility to check in early after an overnight flight.

I have just had 4 nights here while I was attending a trade show, and the welcome when checking in was just lovely, warm and welcoming ..
While the motel is old, it was spotless, and décor was modern .
The location is the best in Melbourne if one likes food!, and although its in the hub its very quiet. I loved it warts and all, and will definitely be going back. Its well priced, great service, and exceptional staff.

We had a smooth check in and found the rooms to be clean, tidy and well presented. The city could be seen in the left hand side of the window. The Best Western is a hop, jump and skip away from Lygon st which is filled with cafes and restaurants. Overall it was lovely stay and I look forward to coming back.

The room was clean and well decorated. The staff were very friendly. Reception staff made several helpful suggestions about the Melbourne area. An overall enjoyable experience. I would definitely recommend to friends.

A very disappointing experience. Rude and disinterested desk staff. Room service food was terrible, but the young woman who brought it was lovely.

The air conditioning didn't work and the bathroom was very small. Noisy people in other rooms kept me awake in the early hours

Good location. Clean room. But small compared to pictures. Sometimes a bad smell in bathroom. Corridor ballustrading far from kid safe. Kid could fall 3 floors. One front desk person was quite unfriendly but others good. Occsssional buzzing noise from a nearby building.

This was a trouble free stay. Staff very good.
Our room was smaller than we thought.Not an accurate description on the internet.
We had to buy milk for coffee as not enough was provided for our stay.
Overall a comfortable stay.

Clean well presented room. Great Customer service. The pool was not heated at the time we used it and there are no change rooms or showers close to the pool which meant after a swim I had to make my way back to my room kinda wet otherwise I would have rated 4 stars.
