Love this hotel! Good location not far from Flinders Street or Southern Cross. Has a rooftop place and I fell inlove with it. The rooms are very neat and tidy and I loved the bathroom. Definitely worth the money. I am coming back to this hotel
I will not be back. Where do i even start with the poor quality? I requested to have my room made up early as my friend and i had an appointment at 4pm and the room which was the size of a shoe box was not ready until 3pm. We then had to rush around the tiniest bathroom that i could barely fit in. The shower was made for someone who has never eaten anything before i had to squeeze to get in and i'm average weight. Every time i turned the sink on which was the size of a child's play kitchen sink it sprayed every where and all over the bathroom. The room was not clean there was toilet paper shoved under the sink. the towels had holes in them. The room did not have any cutlery or a toaster or a microwave. so trying to save money in expensive Melbourne was impossible. We tried to make sandwiches and had to ask for cutlery.. the fridge froze all our food. the maid moved my things when cleaning and broke my purse. the front staff had no idea about certain things we asked and didn't seem to have a clue about anything. they also didn't bother to tell us we'd be locked out of our room and have our keys not work on our third day. such an inconvenience. the windows didn't open so it was quite muggy in the room. the people upstairs thought it would be great to stomp around all night. the WiFi didn't work and there seems to be no service in the brick walls. the upstairs outdoor space was filthy and the lights were broken. and finally i requested a king size bed and got 2 single beds. i won't be back. the only positive about this place was the fact my cheer competition was a short 10 min walk. however i can't imagine having to stay in this place with a family because there is no way i could have afforded it.
Small and trendy hotel, staff are excellent and housekeeping keep the rooms spotless. It's super close to everything, a five minute walk from Southern Cross, a five minute walk from MCEC, and a tram stop almost at the front door.
The cafe has a good continental or cooked breakfast, but isn't much good for lunch.
Fantastic location, rooms are clean and comfortable. The girls at reception are super friendly. The bathrooms are a little small but that didn't bother me. I would definitely stay here again :-)
Great location with basic modern rooms. Small bathroom reasonably priced. Close to CBD & public transport. The cafe is really good. Friendly helpful staff.
Hotel is on a good location. Room was nice, big and clean. Only issue was shower was very small. Overall its was good experience.
I arrived at about 9 in the morning looking for a room to stay in for the next 2 nights. The lady at the desk was able to get me a room, took my bags, and allowed me to check into the room 2 hours before the normal check in time, at one. Reasonably priced for the amazing location. Food downstairs is phenomenal.
The hotel is well placed if attending events at the exhibition centre or city. It is a small boutique place to stay with an eclectic array of rooms. The staff are very kind and helpful. We parked at a nearby parking facility across the road.
Great location a couple of blocks from Southern cross station and a short walk from the convention center. Rooms are small but well appointed. Would definitely stay again.
The Cafe only (not a stay over guest)
Nice environment, very helpful and friendly staff on 28/6, can't believe there are such people in a big city.
Design of cafe was in detail, setup, display was a great work. Love the animals by windows that attracted me. Sitting inside together with the animals, looking pedestrian rushing by does made my day.
I would give a big thumb up for the idea of call bell !!! love it !!
Spent 4 nights at pensione hotel last month. Payed for small room but everything you need in it. Extremely clean. Will book this hotel next time I visit Melbourne
Love staying at this place. Close and convenient to all locations
Stayed at the Pensioners for a business trip. Great location and had my room upgraded upon check-in. Room was basic and clean, although the comfort of the bed was questionable. It's close to the train line so ask for a quieter room! Cheap and cheerful, but a budget hotel masquerading as "boutique"
Good food in the in-house cafe. Comfy bed. Clean shoebox room. Did the trick, and was perfectly situated for us.
Stayed here overnight for a bucks party. Rooms were really clean and well presented. Literally the best bed ive ever slept in. So comfortable.
